We can Live an Overcoming Life to Fulfill God’s Economy under God’s Faithfulness

June 15, 2026 by aGodMan 14 Comments

Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in the midst of it, they would deliver only their own souls by their righteousness, declares the Lord Jehovah. Ezek. 14:14

Noah, Daniel, and Job are patterns revealing how we can live an overcoming life on the line of life to fulfill the economy of God, that is, how can we live and work according to the vision of the age to change the age; with Noah in particular we see God’s faithfulness to keep His […]

And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints. Rev. 19:8

The bride of the Lamb was given to be clothed in fine linen, bright and clean, for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints; we have Christ as our righteousness before God, our first garment, but we need Him to be lived out of us as our overcoming life to be our second […]

For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ. Eph. 4:12

Having an Enigmatic Freshness within us that Drives others to Seek God by our Presence

January 27, 2023 by aGodMan 12 Comments

...through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit. Titus 3:5

As believers in Christ, there must be an enigmatic freshness, power, nourishment, and supply within us that will drive others to seek after God through our presence; we need to have our feet washed and be prepared to wash others’ feet, for nothing is more crucial and precious than foot-washing. Amen! We love the […]

Live a Prophesying Life by being Revived, Living an Overcoming Life, and Speaking

...Seek that you may excel for the building up of the church. 1 Cor. 14:12

The goal of prophesying in the church meetings is the building up of the Body of Christ; we need to live a life of prophesying by being revived every morning and living an overcoming life every day, and prepare to prophesy in the meetings of the church. Moses’ prayer in Num. 11:29 sounds throughout the […]

Living an Overcoming Life and Redeeming the Time to Contact People for Shepherding Them

February 10, 2018 by aGodMan 3 Comments

We must recover this matter [of contacting and shepherding people]. Only by this will the organic building up of the Body of Christ in Ephesians 4:12-16 and the meetings of mutuality in 1 Corinthians 14:26 be realized and practiced among us. For this we need a daily revival and a daily overcoming as the base. We also need a life and work that flows out from the love of the Lord in order to maintain our victory....What maintains us in the victory is a life and work of love toward the Lord. Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1988, vol. 4, pp. 43-46

As believers in Christ who have seen something of the scriptural way to meet and serve, we need to live an overcoming life and redeem the time to contact people for shepherding and perfecting them. The Lord is clear in His word concerning the God-ordained way to meet and serve – first we need to […]

Rejecting any Traditional Way and taking the Scriptural Way to Meet by Living in Spirit

December 29, 2017 by aGodMan 4 Comments

The scriptural way to meet and to serve surely is against the religious and social way of meeting and service....This way is spiritual. It fits the taste of the living and spiritual man and requires man to be living and in the spirit. To take this way, we need to be revived, to live a victorious life, and to walk by and according to the spirit. For this way to be prevailing in our meeting and in our service, we also need to have an uninterrupted fellowship with the Lord daily and hourly. We need to contact the Lord from the beginning of each day by calling on His name and pray-reading His Word that we may enjoy Him and be supplied with His riches. We need to speak Him to people all day long whether in season or out of season. To live such a life for the scriptural way to meet and to serve surely requires us always to pay a price. The Scriptural Way to Meet and to Serve for the Building Up of the Body of Christ, p. 328, by Witness Lee

For the building up of the Body of Christ, we need to practice the scriptural way to meet and to serve, and we need to give up and forsake any traditional way in Christianity which may still influence us. First of all, we need to realize that we are the Body of Christ, and together […]
