As those who are parents in the church life, we thank and praise the Lord for saving us and bringing us into the church life. At the same time, however, we have a responsibility toward our children, not only to raise them up in a good way but even to bring them up in the way of the Lord, according to His word, and in the light of what He is speaking today in the Lord’s recovery.

We want our children to be not only sanctified from the world today but also filled with the word of God, having a proper humanity, with a balanced view of the world, loving the Lord and the saints, to be useful in the Lord’s hand and even be part of the dispensational instrument that He will use to change this age.

So we praise the Lord for all the speaking in the Lord’s recovery both through the ministry and through the current conferences concerning how to raise up the next generation for the Lord in the church life. Raising Up the Next Generation Fellowship in the Church LifeThe Lord surely loves and cares for our children and young people, and His good intention for them is that they would become the next generation in His move. Throughout history He has depended on the faithful labor of His saints to raise up the next generation, mainly their own children, for the continuation of His divine economy on the earth. For this reason the Bible offers substantial help to God’s people about raising up the next generation. It is no wonder, therefore, that those who have taken the lead in the ministry among us, Brothers Watchman Nee and Witness Lee, paid careful attention to this matter. The materials that compose this book are drawn from the numerous places in their ministry where they offer fellowship about taking care of our children and young people with a view to their becoming the next generation in His glorious move on the earth.

It should be noted that because the fellowship in this book comprises many excerpts from numerous publications, there was the need of organizing and summarizing the content. This will be seen in the lesson outlines that precede each group of excerpts. These outlines, which faithfully crystallize the content of their following excerpts, were composed by a group of blended saints who serve among our children and young people. We are sincerely grateful to them for their labor before the Lord and expect that all the readers of this book will be equally so. We thank the Lord for His grace to them in this labor.

May the Lord use the fellowship in this book to indeed raise up the next generations for the church life.

Parents Fellowship and Encouragement

27-28 February 2021 – Raising up the next generation Conference in the Metroplex (Texas)

Brother Ricky Acosta shared with the churches in the Metroplex on 27-28 February 2021 regarding the burden of raising up our next generation for the church life. The first meeting contained examples from the Bible of how at least two generations were used by God to turn the age: the generation of age-turners and the generation of the ones used to produce the age-turners. The second meeting presented “nuggets” and “gems” from the book of Proverbs for our living a godly family life which including a speaking about wisdom, vision, truth, Spirit, heart and love. The final meeting covered the matters of faith, love and hope as the Christian life. We thank the Lord for such wonderful speaking and hope parents and those serving with children and young people, as well as all the saints will take time to digest and consider the matters shared.

Raising Up the Next Generation Fellowship in the Church Life – Speaking / Messages

  • February 2020 – Conference in Irving (Texas, USA) with Ricky Acosta on Raising up the Next Generation – link via LivingToHim and listen / watch the messages via Church in Irving website.
    There’s a particular burden for parents in these messages, with vivid stories from the Bible that apply to our family life and our church life, and many personal testimonies. There’s also a question and response time addressing many practical concerned faced by our generation (see the “Special Fellowship”). This speaking exposes Satan’s strategies of wearing out the older generation and destroying the younger generation.

We warmly recommend to get a subscription to this website if you have children. The saints are constantly posting new content for all families there, and you can also share it with other families.

Church in Irvine – Children’s Service Materials

As a result of the fellowship and prayer of the saints in Irvine, CA, USA, praise the Lord, there’s a website that they put up where you can freely access some materials for the children service (or for reading them at home to the children).

It is recommended to have much fellowship in the church life with the parents, serving ones, and those burdened to serve with the children and young people, and get into the word and the ministry concerning this, even listen to some of the messages listed above; then, the Lord may have a way to shine on what materials to use, what to do, and how to do it.

This is what the saints in Irvine did, and the introduction – the word of fellowship – shows how the Lord had a new beginning among them.
