As the Shepherd of our Soul, Christ Takes Care of our Soul with its Needs and Wounds

November 22, 2023 by aGodMan 23 Comments

Jehovah is my Shepherd; I will lack nothing. Psa. 23:1

We all need to know and experience Christ as the Shepherd of our souls; He oversees our inward condition, caring for the situation of our inner being, and He shepherds us in our soul to take care of our mind, emotion, and will with all our problems, needs, and wounds. Before we can shepherd […]

Loving the Lord by Doing the Work of the Ministry to Build up the Body of Christ

January 13, 2023 by aGodMan 9 Comments

For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ. Eph. 4:12

We need to love the Lord in incorruptibility by doing the work of the ministry for the building up of the Body of Christ; the work of the building up of the Body of Christ, as seen in Eph. 4, is eternal and glorious. Amen! Paul’s epistle to the Ephesians unveils the highest revelation […]

We need to have the Intimate Concern of a Ministering Life in Shepherding the Saints

December 31, 2022 by aGodMan 8 Comments

But I, I will most gladly spend and be utterly spent on behalf of your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved less? 2 Cor. 12:15

Shepherding is the bridge between Christ’s first coming and second coming, and we can participate in Christ’s wonderful shepherding by having the intimate concern of a ministering life, the intimate concern for the saints to shepherd them in love. Amen! May the Lord save us from discriminating among the saints, the new ones, or […]

Participating in Christ’s Wonderful Shepherding to have a Genuine Revival among us

June 12, 2021 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among whom the Holy Spirit has placed you as overseers to shepherd the church of God... Acts 20:28

Praise the Lord, we can participate in Christ’s wonderful shepherding so that we may enter into a genuine revival! We all as believers in Christ need to enter into the burden of shepherding people according to God, following the pattern of the apostle Paul, so that we may bring in a new revival that will […]

Being a Pattern of Living Christ, Magnifying Christ, and Living the Body Life

December 8, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Acts 28:31 Proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness, unhindered.

The apostle Paul was a pattern of living Christ, magnifying Christ, doing all things in Christ, and pursuing Christ to be found in Christ; he lived such a life when he was on his ministry journey and also in his imprisonment journey. Whether in good situation or in persecution, whether in outward success or imprisonment, […]

Serving the Lord as a Slave and Shepherding the Saints by Visiting them in their Homes

December 7, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Acts 20:31 Therefore watch, remembering that for three years, night and day, I did not cease admonishing each one with tears.

The apostle Paul was a pattern to the elders in Ephesus – a pattern of what the elders should be to the church to shepherd them, serving the Lord as a slave. When we hear or read about the need to shepherd others according to God, we may think that this is something so high […]

Living an Overcoming Life and Redeeming the Time to Contact People for Shepherding Them

February 10, 2018 by aGodMan 3 Comments

We must recover this matter [of contacting and shepherding people]. Only by this will the organic building up of the Body of Christ in Ephesians 4:12-16 and the meetings of mutuality in 1 Corinthians 14:26 be realized and practiced among us. For this we need a daily revival and a daily overcoming as the base. We also need a life and work that flows out from the love of the Lord in order to maintain our victory....What maintains us in the victory is a life and work of love toward the Lord. Collected Works of Witness Lee, 1988, vol. 4, pp. 43-46

As believers in Christ who have seen something of the scriptural way to meet and serve, we need to live an overcoming life and redeem the time to contact people for shepherding and perfecting them. The Lord is clear in His word concerning the God-ordained way to meet and serve – first we need to […]
