We Practice the Fellowship of the Body when we Come to the Lord’s Table and Eat the Bread

February 3, 2018 by aGodMan 5 Comments

1 Cor. 10:16-17 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the fellowship of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the fellowship of the body of Christ? Seeing that there is one bread, we who are many are one Body; for we all partake of the one bread.

There is only one Body in this universe, and in all the local churches we express it here on earth; when we come to the Lord’s table, we come to practice the fellowship of the Body, for by eating the one bread we testify that we all are one! On one hand each one of […]

Fellowship means we are One Spirit with the Lord: we Enjoy Him and Keep the Oneness

January 31, 2018 by aGodMan 12 Comments

1 Cor. 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

We have been called into the fellowship of the Son of God (1 Cor. 1:9), that is, we have been called to be one spirit with the Lord and with the saints to enjoy all that Christ is and enjoy all that He is in the saints. The word fellowship is very much used among […]

Treasuring Christ and Serving, Testifying, and Loving the Lord in the Church Life

January 27, 2018 by aGodMan 12 Comments

Phil. 3:7-9 ...What things were gains to me, these I have counted as loss on account of Christ....I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, on account of whom I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as refuse that I may gain Christ and be found in Him...

In the church life we all have three main functions: serving, testifying, and loving; we serve the Lord, we testify of His resurrection life which we experience, and we love Him and pour out everything on Him. This is our experience and our testimony in the church life, and this is what we also see […]

Life Meets the Need of Every Man’s Case to Build the House of God (Gospel of John)

January 22, 2018 by aGodMan 7 Comments

John 12:1-2 Then Jesus...came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead....They made Him a supper there; and Martha served, but Lazarus was one of the ones reclining at table with Him.

The gospel of John is a book on life and building; God comes to is in Christ to be our life, and this life is for God’s building – for Christ as life meets the need of every man’s case to build up the house of God. This week in our deeper study of what […]

Today is the day to have a New Man Constituted of All the Local Churches on earth

January 5, 2018 by aGodMan 9 Comments

Col. 4:15-16 Greet the brothers in Laodicea, as well as Nymphas and the church, which is in his house. And when this letter is read among you, cause that it be read in the church of the Laodiceans also, and that you also read the one from Laodicea.

The application of the new man spoken of in Eph. 2:15 and Col. 3:10-11 is that all the local churches in the different countries are one new man. So our practice of the church life should be with the Body of Christ and the new man as the goal in view. The constitution of the […]

The Church, the Body of Christ, is the One New Man to Accomplish God’s Eternal Purpose

January 1, 2018 by aGodMan 3 Comments

Eph. 2:15-16 Abolishing in His flesh the law of the commandments in ordinances, that He might create the two in Himself into one new man, so making peace, and might reconcile both in one Body to God through the cross, having slain the enmity by it.

The church as the Body of Christ is the one new man to accomplish God’s eternal purpose. But what does it mean for the church to be the new man, and how can we experience this aspect of the church in our church life and even daily experience with the Lord? Can we say that, […]

Rejecting any Traditional Way and taking the Scriptural Way to Meet by Living in Spirit

December 29, 2017 by aGodMan 4 Comments

The scriptural way to meet and to serve surely is against the religious and social way of meeting and service....This way is spiritual. It fits the taste of the living and spiritual man and requires man to be living and in the spirit. To take this way, we need to be revived, to live a victorious life, and to walk by and according to the spirit. For this way to be prevailing in our meeting and in our service, we also need to have an uninterrupted fellowship with the Lord daily and hourly. We need to contact the Lord from the beginning of each day by calling on His name and pray-reading His Word that we may enjoy Him and be supplied with His riches. We need to speak Him to people all day long whether in season or out of season. To live such a life for the scriptural way to meet and to serve surely requires us always to pay a price. The Scriptural Way to Meet and to Serve for the Building Up of the Body of Christ, p. 328, by Witness Lee

For the building up of the Body of Christ, we need to practice the scriptural way to meet and to serve, and we need to give up and forsake any traditional way in Christianity which may still influence us. First of all, we need to realize that we are the Body of Christ, and together […]
