During this Winter School of Truth I really enjoyed touching the matter of the Spirit and the preaching of the gospel. This generation – our generation – is the generation the Lord wants to use to bring Him back. We have to say, “Lord, use me!” What’s holding me back? It’s NOW and it’s US! We must be willing to be used by God and we NEED to be stepping stones for His move. We have to allow Him to use us as His dispensational instrument that He may speak through us… Young people, do you know why you’re placed in your schools? It is time to rise up and say, Lord Jesus, Step On Me! Use me! (2011 winter school of truth)
We need to rise up and say: “Lord, step on me!” This is our opportunity! We should go, bear fruit and speak about the Lord. What are we waiting for? We’re here to express God! Jesus wants our consecration so we have to be determined and exercise our spirit. The church needs our function. Every day we have a new beginning, each sunrise brings new opportunities and new possibilities. Sometimes we just need little turn to our spirit. We are different than the people in the world – we have a better life because Christ is our life! We have to trust God because at every step the Midianites want to attack us – they’re waiting all the time and everywhere to destroy what God made in us, and to destroy the place which Lord gained in us. I really enjoyed the fact that we have the key to both “death” and “life and peace”. This key is non other than our mind. “For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6). The moment I got to know this, I found the answer to lot of problems in my life. Can the flesh do any good to you? No, the flesh cannot do any good for you. The Lord Jesus said “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing” (John 6:63). Hallelujah – our flesh profits NOTHING! even if our spirit is small and weak, and our soul is tall and strong, we need to deny our soul so that our mingled spirit may become strong. We should always have a strong inner man, a strong spirit! We need to be willing to be used by God. Our infilling of the Holy Spirit is not only for our nourishment, it is also for us to dispense. This means that we have to preach the gospel to our friends, to overthrow our schools with the word of God – the Lord wants to use us as His stepping stones. My life often is “divided in two” – in school I usually live by my soul and at the meetings or when I am spending time with Lord, I live by my spirit. This kind of living is not what Christ wants to have in us. He really wants to have a stepping stone – a people that will concentrate their all beings on Him. The Lord chose us – we cannot lose this chance – we have to turn to our spirit all the time – live by our spirit – and let Jesus work in us! Then we will surely be able to say, It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me! This is so amazing! God wants to dispense Himself into us – it is so easy to receive Him! (2011 winter school of truth)
This Winter School I also enjoyed the matter of having a personal time with the Lord because if we don’t have a daily, intimate, personal time with Him, we will quickly slip back into our old worldly ways. Therefore, it is especially important to maybe just get up 10 minutes earlier or maybe in the morning when walking to school to pray to Him, confess our sins, and tell the Lord that we love Him. Although this may sometimes seem like “a chore” to us, eventually we will enjoy it so much that we look forward to spending this time with Him! we need to take heed to how we drink – being the Gideons of today (2011 winter school of truth)
The first time I consecrated myself and my future (specifically my education, my career, my going to the full-time training) to the Lord was at the age of 15. I was told that I need to renew my consecration everyday by the serving brother who spoke the message regarding consecration. As time passed, somehow l slacked. It’s so good a young brother (O.M.) initiated this declaration/consecration. This prayer and declaration is still resounding in my being daily since 30th Dec 2011: Lord, I am willing to be used by You. Make me Your stepping stone. Do not pass me by.
