We today need to blow the trumpet of the gospel to the other young people around us! Our pitchers (our love of ourselves, our “face”) need to be shattered so that we are no longer bound by worrying about what others think about us, but bold to speak in the name of the Lord. Finally, we need to hold up our “torches” which represent our testimony before the ones we speak to. We are luminaries in the world shining out as children of God (Phil. 2:15). God’s economical Spirit of power is for us to receive to preach the gospel (2011 WST)
Praise the Lord that when we feel weak or powerless, we can call on the Lord’s name and have this Spirit to strengthen our inner man so that we can preach the gospel! Without being in spirit, we cannot preach the gospel because we would be doing this in our self, not in the spirit. Thus, we need to call upon His name and have Him flow into us whenever we want to prophesy, preach the gospel, or to even talk! [sharing from the Winter School of Truth from a young brother]
we need to take heed to how we drink – being the Gideons of today (2011 winter school of truth)
The first time I consecrated myself and my future (specifically my education, my career, my going to the full-time training) to the Lord was at the age of 15. I was told that I need to renew my consecration everyday by the serving brother who spoke the message regarding consecration. As time passed, somehow l slacked. It’s so good a young brother (O.M.) initiated this declaration/consecration. This prayer and declaration is still resounding in my being daily since 30th Dec 2011: Lord, I am willing to be used by You. Make me Your stepping stone. Do not pass me by.
