What is is so good about the church life? What is it so good about brothers living together? It is the Triune God! Here we are fellow partakers, joint partakers, of the grace of life! We don’t insist on being right, but we obey the teaching of the anointing within (1 John 2:27) which teaches us to abide in Him! No matter what you say / what happens, the Triune God paints you with all the elements that are compounded in the Spirit! You may insist on something – as long as you’re in the church life, you are painted, and the ingredients of the processed and consummated Triune God are applied to you! Lord, cause the desire of Your heart to become the desire of my heart! Make me an overcomer!
We are not yet overcomers – Paul could say only at the end of his life that he is ready to receive the crown – but we can receive from the Lord an aspiration to be an overcomer, and we can pray for the Lord to produce us as overcomers! The overcomers are for the building up of the Body of Christ! They don’t overcome only in their personal life matters such as their temper, the besetting sin, etc – they meet the Lord’s need to be the ones who are willing to be produced by the Lord as the sevenfold intensified Spirit, who give themselves for the building up of the Body of Christ as the reality in the churches! we need to be renewed in our mind to truly express Christ (2011 winter school of truth)
This winter school of truth I enjoyed the Organic Salvation of God, especially the matter of renewing. Being renewed requires us not to be fashioned according to this age, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind – see Rom. 12:2a. To be renewed in our mind is to get the old concepts of the world out of our mind and have our mind made new again by the teaching of the Word of God and the enlightening of the Holy Spirit. When we pray-read His words, day by day the Holy spirit will change us and guide us. Our view will be different and our whole being will be renewed. the local churches as the golden lampstands bear the testimony of Jesus on the earth
If we do not see what the Lord’s recovery is intrinsically, we may be in the Lord’s recovery outwardly and in the local church meetings weekly, but we may have an empty church life. Unless we see the intrinsic significance of the Lord’s recovery we have a vain life, at best a Brethren-type of meeting… The focus of the Lord’s Recovery is the corporate expression of the Triune God – in the church life, Christ is shining and God is fully expressed through all the saints! My life often is “divided in two” – in school I usually live by my soul and at the meetings or when I am spending time with Lord, I live by my spirit. This kind of living is not what Christ wants to have in us. He really wants to have a stepping stone – a people that will concentrate their all beings on Him. The Lord chose us – we cannot lose this chance – we have to turn to our spirit all the time – live by our spirit – and let Jesus work in us! Then we will surely be able to say, It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me! This is so amazing! seeing the highest revelation of Christ and willingly consecrating ourselves to Him
Today we can cooperate with Chirst in His heavenly ministry, as He is on His way to victory, by being the young men who offer themselves willingly in the day of His warfare, in the splendor of their consecration (Psa. 110:3). Our willing consecration is our consent, our surrender to the Lord – our whole life and our whole being is for His economy and for His recovery! When we offer ourselves willingly to the Lord, in His eyes we are beautified with a divine heavenly splendor. God wants to dispense Himself into us – it is so easy to receive Him! (2011 winter school of truth)
This Winter School I also enjoyed the matter of having a personal time with the Lord because if we don’t have a daily, intimate, personal time with Him, we will quickly slip back into our old worldly ways. Therefore, it is especially important to maybe just get up 10 minutes earlier or maybe in the morning when walking to school to pray to Him, confess our sins, and tell the Lord that we love Him. Although this may sometimes seem like “a chore” to us, eventually we will enjoy it so much that we look forward to spending this time with Him!
