We need to STOP and Let God Work Himself into us to Fulfill His Purpose Through us

We need to STOP and Let God Work Himself into us to Fulfill His Purpose Through us

God’s intention is to gain man for His purpose so that He may work Himself into man and be lived out and expressed through man in a corporate way for His glory. We can see God’s intention from the beginning of the Bible (when God put man in front of Himself as life, the tree […]

Living by Grace: God Rejects Man’s Fleshly Effort to Please Him According to the Law

April 8, 2014 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Hagar, the bondwoman, signifies the covenant of law (Gal. 4:25)....When man is ignorant of God's grace, he will always endeavor to do something to please God, and this brings in the law, of which Hagar, the bondwoman, the improper wife of Abraham, was the symbol. Since she was the improper wife, she should not have come in. What she brought forth could not remain in God's economy. This signifies that the law should not have come in and that the produce of the law has no position in fulfilling God's purpose. Hagar brought forth Ishmael, who was rejected by God, by man's effort, not by God's grace. The produce of man's effort through the law has no share in the fulfillment of God's purpose. (Life-study of Genesis, p. 620)

God promised Abraham a seed and Abraham believed God; this was counted to him as righteousness. However, since both Abraham and Sarah were getting older and nothing was happening, Abraham listened to Sarah’s suggestion to have a seed with the help of her maidservant, Hagar. It would have been so easy and simple if, based […]

Standing for God on Earth and Overcoming the Temptation of Material Possessions

Gen. 14:22-23 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lifted up my hand to Jehovah, God the Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth, That I will not take a thread or a sandal thong or anything that is yours, lest you say, I have made Abram rich;

The history of Abraham rescuing his nephew Lot is full of spiritual significance, and Abraham is a pattern to us today in our life of living by faith. To live by faith doesn’t mean only to live a life of the altar and the tent, fully trusting in the Lord in our consecrated life and […]

Offering Ourselves Willingly to the Lord and Becoming the Morning Dew to Refresh Him

Psalm 110:3-4 Your people will offer themselves willingly in the day of Your warfare, in the splendor of their consecration. Your young men will be to You like the dew from the womb of the dawn. Jehovah has sworn, and He will not change: You are a Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

In Psalm 110 we see a very practical way to enjoy Christ in His heavenly ministry as the kingly High Priest: by offering ourselves to Him willingly in the day of His warfare, in the day of our consecration, and by being to Him like the dew from the womb of the dawn, refreshing Him […]

Knowing Christ as the High Priest in His Heavenly Ministry and Cooperating with Him

Heb. 7:25 Hence also He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for them.

Who is this “Melchizedek” and why is Christ a “High Priest according to the order of Melchizedek”? In the Old Testament we see a lot about the priesthood according to the order of Aaron, but what about this Melchizedek? Also, as believers in Christ today, how can we cooperate with our interceding High Priest, Christ […]

Cooperating with Christ’s Intercession to Defeat God’s Enemies for Christ’s Return

Cooperating with Christ's Intercession to Defeat God's Enemies for Christ's Return. Heb. 7:25 Hence He is able to save to the uttermost those who come forward to God through Him, since He lives always to intercede for them

After Abraham defeated the four kings and was on his way back with the spoil and all the people, someone called “Melchizedek” met him and blessed him. This Melchizedek was a priest of God the Most High, and he was the king of Salem; this one brought out bread and wine and blessed Abraham and […]

Fighting for the Brother by Praying for Him to Rescue Him and Give Life to Him

Lot made his choice to separate from Abraham and move his tent close to Sodom, even moving into the city of Sodom. When the four kings came and defeated the five kings of the plain, Lot was also taken captive with all his family and his possessions. When Abraham heard this, he could have been […]
