All our Service in the Church must be Initiated by God According to His Desire

June 21, 2016 by aGodMan 3 Comments

Anything that is initiated or started by man, regardless of how much it is for God, is a religious activity (Gal. 1:13-16). In God’s eyes this kind of activity is not His service or His work. In all our service we should have a regard for God and fear God; we should be fearful that what we are doing for God is not initiated by God but by ourselves. Witness Lee

In serving God we need to take Him as the source of all our service: God has to be the originator, initiator, operator, motivator, and source of our service; our service should be initiated by God. As believers in Christ we are sons of Abraham, who is the father of faith; like our father, we […]

God the Father is the only Originator and the Holy Spirit is the only Initiator

God the Father is the only legitimate Originator in the universe, and His Holy Spirit is the only legitimate Initiator in our hearts (Gen. 1:1; Acts 13:2, 4). God must be the Originator of all spiritual work, and His will must govern the beginnings of all our service (Matt. 7:21-23). 2016 Spring ITERO, msg. 4

As believers in Christ we are saved by God and now we all serve Him; however, we need to be careful how we serve Him so that our service to Him would be pleasing and rewarded by Him. There are two kinds of service: the service for the building up of the church, and the […]

Knowing and Experiencing God as the God of Abraham: God is our Father, our Source!

March 4, 2014 by aGodMan 4 Comments

Knowing and Experiencing God as the God of Abraham: God is our Father, our Source! Rom. 4:17 (As it is written, "I have appointed you a father of many nations") in the sight of God whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls the things not being as being.

The God who chose us, called us, redeemed us, saved us, justified us, and who daily renews us, transforms us, and will eventually glorify us is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. He called us to be a particular kind of people, His peculiar possession, His personal treasure, […]
