Partaking of the Divine Nature under God’s Dispensing to be Perfect in God’s Love

Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature... 2 Pet. 1:4

In order for us as kingdom people to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect, we need to be perfect in His love, for love is the nature of God’s essence; we need to partake of God’s divine nature and remain under God’s dispensing day by day.

God is love – love is the nature of His essence.

The Lord Jesus said that we as sons of our heavenly Father shall be perfect as our Father is perfect (Matt. 5:48).

For us to be perfect means that we are perfect in His love.

When we speak of love, our concept and thinking concerning love are very much spoiled and degraded.

Some may think that love is what a man and a woman declare to one another when they get married, for their marriage vows are filled with declarations of love and promises for the future.

But if you stick around for two or three years and check with the husband and the wife, you will discover that it is not easy to love the other person.

They may declare to one another that they love them and will love them until death parts them, but this is not possible.

Real love is God Himself, and only God as love can make us beings of love. Only God filling us with Himself as love can cause us to love one another.

God as love in us seeks to break through our being which is bound and limited by the self.

He poured out His love into our hearts, and now He wants to spread so that we may love God with all our mind, emotion, will, heart, and soul.

Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ are regenerated with God’s life to be sons of God and citizens of the kingdom of God, and in God’s kingdom, we are learning to live by the divine life!

All that God requires of us – and His requirement is very high, just read Matt. 5-7 – can be accomplished by the divine life in us.

God wants us to be perfect even as our heavenly Father is perfect; this cannot be accomplished in ourselves or by ourselves but only by the divine life in us.

When we realize the full impotence of our natural life to please God and do His will, we will put it aside and choose to turn to our spirit and live according to the spirit.

When we live according to our mingled spirit day by day, we will spontaneously fulfil God’s requirements and deny the self.

We will no longer fulfil the lusts of the flesh when we walk according to the Spirit; rather, the righteous requirement of the law will be fulfilled in us (Rom. 8:4).

May we be those who choose to live according to the spirit and who constantly turn to their mingled spirit!

May we help one another to contact the Lord, love Him, and live because of Him as we eat Him and partake of Him!

We become Perfect in God’s Love by Partaking of God’s Divine Nature

He who does not love has not known God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8 And we know and have believed the love which God has in us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God and God abides in him. 1 John 4:16As Christians, we are kingdom people – we are citizens of the kingdom of God; as such ones, we shall be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.

For us to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect means that we are perfect in His love (Matt. 5:44-45), for love is the very nature of God’s essence (1 John 4:8, 16).

We shall be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect – we shall be perfect in God’s love. Wow!

When we are being perfected in the Father’s love, we will be perfect in many other things.

How can we become perfect in God’s love, in the love of the Father?

Through the precious and exceedingly great promises given to us by God, we have become partakers of His divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4) in an organic union with Him (John 3:15; Gal. 3:27; Matt. 28:19).

We are becoming perfect in God’s love by partaking of the divine nature of our God.

We have been brought into an organic union with Him through faith and baptism, and now we have the divine nature in our being.

The more we enjoy and partake of the divine nature, the more we are brought into God’s glory, into the full expression of the Triune God.

Thank the Lord, at the time of our regeneration we received the divine life by believing into the Lord, and the divine nature is the substance of the divine life.

Day by day, we need to grow in His life and continually enjoy His divine nature in us.

What does it mean to partake of the divine nature of God? It means that we enjoy what God is. In His nature, God is Spirit, light, and love.

And we enjoy Him by coming to His word and partaking of His divine nature by the precious and exceedingly great promises in His word (2 Pet. 1:3-4).

Praise the Lord, we have become partakers of the divine nature and we are continually partaking of this nature through the promises of God!

For example, one of these promises is that the grace of God is sufficient for us, no matter how difficult our situation is (2 Cor. 12:9).

We stand on this promise and believe that God’s sufficient grace will work within us day by day to supply us and take us through any situation.

May we partake of what God is in His nature day by day so that we may be perfect in God’s love.

We have received the divine life at our regeneration, and day by day we need to partake of the divine nature, enjoying what God is in His nature.

Seeing that His divine power has granted to us all things which relate to life and godliness, through the full knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and virtue, Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust. 2 Pet. 1:3-4As we enjoy His virtues and attributes, as we partake of His divine nature, our virtues become an expression of His attributes, and we will become perfect in God’s love.

The virtue of the divine nature carries us into God’s glory (2 Pet. 1:3), into the full expression of the Triune God.

May we continually enjoy the divine nature, which is the substance of the divine life, so that we may be brought into God’s glory more!

His divine power has granted to us all things which relate to life and godliness; everything is in the divine life that we have received at our regeneration.

Without the inner substance and ability of the divine life, we cannot have the outward expression and manifestation of God in our daily living.

He called us into His own glory and virtue; He called us into the enjoyment and participation of His divine nature so that we may be brought into His glory.

The Father granted us His precious and exceedingly great promises, His word. His promises are in His word, and through these promises, we may become partakers of the divine nature.

May we come to His word again and again and partake of the divine nature of our Father so that we may become perfect in God’s love and express Him in His virtues.

Hallelujah, God’s divine power has granted to us all things which relate to life and godliness! Thank You, Lord, for calling us into Your own glory and virtue and for giving us precious and exceedingly great promises! We come to You in Your word and we want to partake of Your divine nature day by day, enjoying all Your riches and partaking of what You are in Your nature. Dear Lord Jesus, make us perfect in God’s love as we partake of God’s divine nature. Keep us enjoying You as grace and as everything today. Keep us in the organic union with the Lord, in our mingled spirit, partaking of all that God is in His nature so that we may become perfect in God’s love and may express the Triune God!

Pray-reading the Word of God to enjoy God’s Promises and Remaining under God’s Dispensing

And for this very reason also, adding all diligence, supply bountifully in your faith virtue; and in virtue, knowledge; And for this very reason also, adding all diligence, supply bountifully in your faith virtue; and in virtue, knowledge; And in godliness, brotherly love; and in brotherly love, love. For these things, existing in you and abounding, constitute [you] neither idle nor unfruitful unto the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Pet. 1:5-8One of the most excellent ways for us to partake of the divine nature is by pray-reading the word of God.

The word of God is holy and it contains the element of God.

As we read and pray the word of God, we are sanctified, washed, and reconstituted with God Himself.

It is by partaking of God’s precious and exceedingly great promises in His word that we partake of the divine nature so that we may become perfect in God’s love.

We need to daily take the word of God into us by means of all prayer and petition, prayerfully considering God’s word and musing on the word of God.

As we enjoy the Lord in His word, we partake of what God is.

The nature of God’s substance is Spirit, the nature of God’s essence is love, and the nature of God’s expression is glory.

As we pray-read the word of God, we enjoy God’s dispensing of Himself into us and we become partakers of the divine nature.

The more we enjoy His dispensing into us, the more we have His Spirit, His love, and His light dispensed into us and constituted into our being.

For example, in our marriage life, we need to enjoy God’s dispensing. We may have a good time with the Lord in the morning, but our wife or husband may give us a difficult time afterwards.

How do we react? If we react in our natural man, this indicates we’re not under God’s dispensing.

But if we remain under God’s dispensing and continue to enjoy the Lord even when our spouse gives us a difficult time, we will react in the Spirit.

May we practice enjoying the Lord day by day.

May we practice reading and praying the word of God so that we may partake of His divine nature constantly.

And may we remain under God’s dispensing in all the situations of our daily life.

As we remain under God’s dispensing, He as love is infusing Himself into our being.

He not only gives us some love so that we may love others today, and then He gives us some more love tomorrow, and so on.

Rather, He infuses Himself as love into us and constitutes us with love until we become beings of love.

God is love; He not only has love or shows love but He is love.

When we partake of God’s divine nature by pray-reading His word and remaining under God’s dispensing, we become beings of love, for God as love infuses Himself into us and constitutes us with Himself as love.

We become love in the sense of being constituted with God as love.

This is the only genuine love, the only kind of love that is genuine: the love that comes out of God’s dispensing.

May we remain under God’s dispensing day by day, even moment by moment.

Because God is love as well as Spirit, the more we are under His dispensing, the more love we have. Actually, the more God’s nature is dispensed into us, the more we become love. This means that we not only have love but that we are love. When the New Testament says that God is love, this does not mean that God merely has love but that He is love. Through God’s dispensing of Himself into us, we become love in the sense of being constituted of God as love. When love as the nature of God’s essence is dispensed into us, we shall react to others in love. Only one kind of love is genuine, and that is the love that comes out of God’s dispensing. When we are under God’s dispensing, we react with genuine love, which is God Himself. The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 69-70, by Witness LeeMay we partake of God’s nature, and may we remain under His dispensing so that we may be perfect in God’s love.

As we partake of the divine nature, we will practice the divine virtues; we will have all diligence to add virtue, faith, knowledge, self-control, endurance, godliness, love, and brotherly love.

These will not constitute us unfruitful but rather, will perfect us in God’s love and fill us with the full knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our enjoyment of the divine nature is both for the present and for eternity (Rev. 22:1-2).

Today we are learning to partake of the divine nature and be perfect in God’s love, and for eternity we will continue to partake of the divine nature.

For eternity we will continue to eat the tree of life and drink the river of water of life that is in the middle of the city of New Jerusalem (Rev. 22:1-2).

Hallelujah, from the throne of God and of the Lamb there is a river flowing, and on both sides of the river, the tree of life grows, bearing new fruits each month!

For eternity we will continue to partake of the divine nature for our enjoyment, and we will be supplied richly to express God in all that He is.

Lord Jesus, we want to partake of the divine nature by pray-reading Your word. Hallelujah, God gave us His precious and great promises in the Bible for our enjoyment. Amen, Lord, we come to Your word with an exercised spirit to just partake of what You are. Dispense more of Yourself into us. Dispense Your riches into our being. Constitute us with Yourself. May we remain under God’s dispensing day by day. Amen, Lord, keep us under Your dispensing today. Save us from living in ourselves or reacting to things according to our natural man. Keep us enjoying You as love, light, and the Spirit, the nature of what You are! May we receive Your dispensing day by day and may we become perfect in God’s love as we partake of the divine nature!

Through the precious and exceedingly great promises given by God, we, the believers in Christ, who is our God and Savior, have become partakers of His divine nature in an organic union with Him. We have entered into this union through faith and baptism (John 3:15; Gal. 3:27; Matt. 28:19). The virtue of this divine nature carries us into God’s glory, into the full expression of the Triune God. We receive the divine life simply by believing, and the divine nature is the substance of the divine life. Although we received the divine life at the time we believed, the divine nature must be continually enjoyed by us. This enjoyment requires the grace of God. The more we enjoy the divine nature, the more we have His virtue, and the more we are brought into His glory. To partake of the divine nature is to enjoy what God is. In order that we may enjoy all that He is, God will do many things for us according to His precious and exceedingly great promises. This will enable us to enjoy His nature, what He is. One of His precious and exceedingly great promises is that His grace is sufficient for us (2 Cor. 12:9). God’s sufficient grace will work within us day by day so that we may enjoy His nature. Amen brother. Although we receive the divine life when we believed, the divine nature must be continually enjoyed by us.

This enjoyment requires God’s grace, and that grace is sufficient for us and will work in us day by day.

Whatever our God is is in His nature, and we must go on to partake of the divine riches in God’s nature.

The more we partake of God’s nature, the more we receive of His Spirit, love & light.

The more we partake of God’s nature, the more we will become Spirit, love & light, for God Himself is Spirit, love & light.

Through regeneration by believing into the Triune God we received the life of God that we, having partaken of the divine nature would enjoy Him and all that He is.

The Spirit is God’s person, love is His essence and light is His expression.

However, we need the grace of God through His divine dispensing, that we would continue to partake of Him so that we become what He is, that is love through a continual dispensing and enjoyment in the present age to be such ones today and into eternity.

Only when we experience more moment by moment dispensing will our reactions match God’s divine nature of love, when others, including our wives, give us a difficult time.

O Lord Jesus keep us under Your divine dispensing today!
