The Living Water we Drink becomes in us a Fountain Springing and Flowing into the New Jerusalem

...but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life. John 4:14b

The Bible clearly shows us that the Triune God has been processed to become the life-giving Spirit for us to drink of Him and enjoy Him; when we drink this living water, it springs up into eternal life and it flows us into and to become the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah!

As believers in Christ, we need to be those learning to live in and with the Divine Trinity, for the entire Bible is structured with the Divine Trinity and it shows us the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity.

God has an economy, an eternal plan, to dispense all that He is, all He has, and all He has accomplished and attained into His household; this economy is carried out by His divine dispensing.

The divine economy is God’s administrative plan according to His mysterious will which He had in eternity past.

It starts with His good pleasure, and according to His good pleasure He has a will; out of this good pleasure, there is a counsel of His will and a purpose.

Based on this purpose, God has an economy to work out all that is in His heart; all He has, all He wills, and all He wants to do, is carried out in His divine economy.

This is what the Bible reveals to us – God’s eternal economy, His eternal purpose and the way to carry out this purpose.

God devised a plan, an administrative plan to work out His heart’s desire and His good pleasure; this economy is simply to work Himself into us, His chosen and redeemed people.

In His divine economy, God works Himself in His Divine Trinity into His chosen and redeemed elect to constitute them with all that He is, so that they and He would be one entity, the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem.

The entire Divine Trinity is now in the process of being dispensed into us to produce and build up the Body of Christ and consummate the New Jerusalem.

This is all seen in God’s divine move and also in our experience.

The entire divine revelation in the Bible is structured with the Divine Trinity; on every page, in every chapter, and in every book, we see how the Triune God in His Divine Trinity is dispensing Himself into man for the fulfillment of His purpose.

We see this more in the New Testament, but the Old Testament also speaks concerning this. In the Gospels we see how God became a man and moved in humanity; the Triune God was embodied in Christ and flowed in His Divine Trinity in a man called Jesus Christ.

The entire Triune God was incarnated to become a man, and He went through the processes of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, and resurrection, and in resurrection, He became a life-giving Spirit to dispense Himself into man and be one with man.

Here we are today, as vessels open to the Lord to receive His divine dispensing so that we may be made fully one with Him for His economy. Hallelujah!

The Triune God has been Processed to become the Life-Giving Spirit for us to Drink – this is the Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity

For also in one Spirit we were all baptized into one Body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and were all given to drink one Spirit. 1 Cor. 12:13

What is the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity and where can we see it in the Bible? The word dispensing may not be found in the Bible, but the principle is clearly seen there.

The New Testament shows us that the entire Triune God went through a process to become the life-giving Spirit so that we can drink of Him and enjoy Him. Wow!

How can we say that “God went through a process”? Well, John 1:14 says that the Word, who is God and was in the beginning with God, became flesh and tabernacled among us.

This means that God became something; God went through a process to become flesh, a man like you and me. Amazing!

The God who created heavens and earth, who gives life to everything that exists, and who holds all things by His power, this One became a man.

Even more, in John 7:37-39 He says that He gives us to drink the Spirit so that we thirst no more; this Spirit was not yet, for Jesus was not yet glorified, that is, He didn’t resurrect yet.

And the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us (and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only Begotten from the Father), full of grace and reality. John 1:14 Now on the last day, the great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes into Me, as the Scripture said, out of his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. But this He said concerning the Spirit, whom those who believed into Him were about to receive; for [the] Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified. John 7:37-39But praise the Lord, 1 Cor. 15:45 tells us that the last Adam – Christ in the flesh – became a life-giving Spirit. How about that! First, God became man; second, this man became a life-giving Spirit.

Now as the life-giving Spirit He came on the evening of His resurrection to His disciples when they were all afraid and locked in a room, and He breathed into them and said, Receive the Holy Spirit (the holy breath) – John 20:22.

And according to His promise in John 4:14, we can come to Him and drink of Him as the living water, and this water not only quenches our thirst but even more, becomes in us a fountain of water springing up into eternal life. Wow!

If we have the glasses of God’s economy on as we read the Bible we will be amazed to see how the Triune God was processed to become the life-giving Spirit for us to drink, be filled with, and be constituted with to become the Body of Christ.

This is the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity.

1 Cor. 12:13 says that we were all baptized into one Body and we were all given to drink one Spirit; on one hand, when we were baptized we were put in the Body of Christ, and on the other hand, we were given to drink one Spirit.

Hallelujah, through the baptism of the Spirit, we were put together to be the Body of Christ, and we will become the New Jerusalem!

The Body of Christ is the issue of our drinking of the life-giving Spirit; the more we drink the Spirit and are filled with the Spirit, the more we become the Body of Christ in reality.

Through our drinking of the life-giving Spirit, we are mingled with God and God is mingled with us.

So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul"; the last Adam [became] a life-giving Spirit. 1 Cor. 15:45 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. 2 Cor. 13:14The consummation of the mingling of God and man is the New Jerusalem, the consummation and destination of the eternal life of God and the divine dispensing.

Through His dispensing of Himself into us in His Divine Trinity, Christ obtains the Body of Christ and will consummate the New Jerusalem.

The New Jerusalem is the totality of God joined with man and man mingled with God. The number we see everywhere in the holy city is twelve, which signifies that God in His eternal administration is mingled with His creature man.

The Triune God is signified by number three and man is signified by number four. Three times four is twelve; this signifies not only the joining (signified by the addition) but the mingling of God with man.

There are twelve foundations in the New Jerusalem, inscribed with the names of the twelve apostles (Rev. 21:14).

There are twelve gates in the New Jerusalem, which are twelve pearls, inscribed with the names of the twelve tribes (v. 12); also, there are twelve fruits of the tree of life (22:2).

The New Jerusalem is the mingling of God and man, and this mingling is accomplished by the dispensing of the Divine Trinity into man day by day, hour by hour, and minute by minute, until man and God are fully mingled together for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose. Hallelujah!

Thank You Lord for the process You went through to become the life-giving Spirit for us to drink and enjoy! Amen, Lord, we come to You with an open heart and with the exercise of our spirit to drink freely the life-giving Spirit and be filled with You! Become our enjoyment today, Lord! We open our being to the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity so that we may be mingled more with God today. Keep us drinking You as the Spirit into whom we have been baptized and who was given to us to drink! Hallelujah, we have been positioned to drink the Spirit, and God gave us the Spirit to drink so that we may be filled with the Spirit, build up the Body of Christ, and consummate the New Jerusalem!

The Living Water we Drink becomes in us a Fountain Springing up and Flowing us into the New Jerusalem! Hallelujah!

And he showed me a river of water of life, bright as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the middle of its street. And on this side and on that side of the river was the tree of life, producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Rev. 22:1-2When we drink a cup of water, our thirst is quenched; however, after a while, we become thirsty again, and we need to drink more water.

In John 4:14 the Lord said that, whoever drinks of the water that He will give him, shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that He gives us to drink will become in us a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.

This is very meaningful; though such a word was spoken to a sinful woman who was thirsty, this is very deep and meaningful in our Christian life and experience today.

Somehow our drinking of the Spirit as the living water not only quenches our thirst but also this water becomes in us a fountain that springs up into eternal life.

This shows us that the Triune God flows in His Divine Trinity into us, and when He flows in, He becomes in us a fountain that springs up and continues to flow into eternal life.

“Into” here is rich in meaning, speaking of destination; the eternal life is the destination of the flowing Triune God, and the New Jerusalem is the totality of eternal life.

In other words, when we drink the Spirit as the living water, there’s a flow within us – the Father as the fountain, the Son as the springing up, and the Spirit as the river flowing – that flows us into the New Jerusalem.

In order for us to arrive at the New Jerusalem and become the New Jerusalem, we need to have something flowing in us and flowing us into there; this is by our drinking the Spirit as the living water.

The Triune God was processed and consummated to become a flowing and life-giving Spirit; when we open to the Lord and drink Him, the Triune God flows in us and becomes the living water in us!

The fountain, the source, is the Father; out of Him and with Him springs out the Son, who is the emergence and springing up of the Father, making the hidden Father known to us.

When the Son flows out, this flow, this river, is the Spirit, who flows the entire Triune God into us and flows us into the New Jerusalem.

This flowing Triune God is “into eternal life.” The Greek preposition translated as “into” is rich in meaning. Here it speaks of the destination. The eternal life is the destination of the flowing Triune God. A fountain is in us springing up as a river into a destination. This destination is the eternal life. The New Jerusalem is the totality of the divine, eternal life. The eternal life eventually will be the New Jerusalem. Thus, into eternal life means into the New Jerusalem. We must have something flowing into that divine New Jerusalem in order for us to arrive there. The entire Bible is needed to interpret John 4:14. The Father is the fountain as the source, the Son is the spring, the Spirit is the flowing river, and this flowing issues in the eternal life, which is the New Jerusalem...God flows through speaking, through spreading, through dispensing. Crystallization-study of the Gospel of John, Chapter 14, by Witness LeeWhen we simply call on the name of the Lord, open to Him to fellowship with Him, and contact Him in spirit, we drink the living water, and this living water becomes in us a fountain emerging, springing up, and flowing out of our innermost being, flowing us into eternal life, into the New Jerusalem.

“Into eternal life” also means “to become eternal life”; we are becoming the New Jerusalem as we drink the living water and allow the Lord to flow in us and flow us into the New Jerusalem (John 7:37-39; Psa. 46:4; Rev. 22:1-2; 7:17; 21:6; 22:17). Wow, Hallelujah!

This is what the Bible talks about from Genesis to Revelation; in the beginning, in eternity past we see God as the Word, and at the end, we see the New Jerusalem.

In between we see the flowing of the Triune God, the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity, to accomplish God’s purpose of building up the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah!

We just need to drink the living water, open to the Lord not only to know Him and appreciate Him but also receive Him, enjoy Him, and be filled with Him, and the Triune God flows in us and flows us into the New Jerusalem for us to become the New Jerusalem.

The entire Bible is needed to interpret and unpack this simple verse, John 4:14; we need to bring this to the Lord in prayer and really open to Him so that we may enter into this reality in our Christian life.

We may understand what this means and we may agree with it, but unless we pray this to the Lord, it doesn’t become our reality. May we bring this to the Lord in prayer and ask Him,

Lord Jesus, give us to dring the living water moment-by-moment. Keep us under Your divine dispensing day by day, hour by hour, and moment by moment. May there be an uninterrupted flow of life in us. Amen, Lord, flow in us and flow out of us; flow into all our being and flow us into the New Jerusalem! Hallelujah, the Triune God flows within us and out of us to issue in our becoming the New Jerusalem! We open to You, dear Lord; we come to You to drink of You as the living water. Keep us drinking. Keep flowing in us, in all our being, and out of us to others. Flow in and flow out, dear Lord. Flow in us and flow us all the way into eternal life, into the New Jerusalem! Amen, Hallelujah!
