Fight the Battle by praying Prayers in Ascension, the Prayers of Spiritual Warfare

One of the deepest principles related to spiritual warfare is that we need to pray fighting prayers, prayers in ascension, prayers of spiritual warfare.

There are four principles of spiritual warfare, the first being that in spiritual warfare we cannot fight with fleshly weapons.

Though it may seem that the enemy is attacking us through men in the flesh or through the flesh being manifested, we cannot respond with fleshly weapons.

Sometimes our flesh is stirred up and at other times our self is offended or upset; no matter what happens, we need to exercise our spirit.

Spiritual warfare can be fought only with spiritual weapons. When we are in the flesh, we are defeated by the enemy, for the flesh is his territory, his ally.

Our spiritual warfare is not against flesh but against spiritual forces in the air, and therefore our weapons should not be fleshly.

We cannot use our natural smartness, intelligence, skills, and brightness to fight the battle; we cannot use anything of the natural man and the self to fight the spiritual warfare.

The second principle of spiritual warfare is to keep the position of ascension. Satan is in the air, together with his principalities and powers, but we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies.

His strategy, however, is to drag us down from that position, for he knows that, when we’re on the earth, he is above us and it is easy for him to defeat us.

Our position in spiritual warfare is very important. We are in the heavenlies, one with Christ in ascension, and the enemy is under our feet – he’s only in the air.

In our prayer we need to exercise to be one with the Lord in the heavenlies, deal with anything between us and Him, and stand with Him in ascension.

When we are in our spirit, we are in the third heavens where the Lord is, and we are more than victorious over the enemy.

The third spiritual principle is that we need to fight with spiritual weapons. Our weapons must be in spirit and of the spirit.

We need to remain in our spirit, speak in spirit, and do all things in spirit; then, we can fight the spiritual warfare by fighting with spiritual weapons.

We need to touch the feeling from within our spirit and remain one with the Lord in spirit so that we may fight the battle in the Lord and in the Body.

Today we want to see what is the fourth principle of spiritual warfare, which is to have fighting prayers, the prayers of spiritual warfare.

We Fight the Spiritual Warfare by Fighting Prayers, the Prayers of Spiritual Warfare

The fourth principle of spiritual warfare is to have fighting prayers, the prayers of spiritual warfare (Matt. 6:9-10, 13).

We fight the spiritual warfare by using spiritual weapons, and all spiritual weapons mentioned in Eph. 6:10-17 are applied by prayer and in prayer.

After the apostle mentions the various kinds of spiritual weapons, he says, “Praying at every time in spirit” (v. 18).

Spiritual warfare depends on prayer, even on fighting prayers, the prayers of spiritual warfare. Such prayer causes the enemy to flee.

When we bend our knees in prayer before the Lord, when the church prays before God and utters fighting prayers, the enemy flees.

In the book of Daniel we see that, when he prayed, there was something happening in the heavens; as he continued to pray, the answer to his prayer reached him, even though there was resistance in the air to this.

Daniel fought the spiritual warfare through his prayer, and he broke through in the matter of prayer.

We need to fight the spiritual warfare by fighting prayers, the prayers of spiritual warfare.

We need to keep our position of ascension and be one with the Lord, and when we pray and the Lord in us prays in this way, we should utter fighting prayers, the prayers of spiritual warfare.

When we remain in ascension by remaining in our mingled spirit, we will employ spiritual weapons to fight the spiritual warfare.

When we utter fighting prayers, we touch the throne of God, and something is taking place in the air.

Our fighting prayers, the prayers in ascension, will touch the throne of God and will affect the power of Satan.

May we cooperate with the Lord today by offering the kind of prayer that He needs to deal with the enemy and bring in the kingdom of God.

Whenever and wherever there is the building up of the church, there is the activity of the gates of Hates against it; therefore, there is the need for fighting prayers (Matt. 16:18-19).

This doesn’t mean that every prayer in every prayer meeting or home meeting has to be a fighting prayer.

But there is the need for such fighting prayers when the Lord within us prays in this way, so that we may bind on earth what has been bound in heaven, and release on earth what has been released in heaven.

We cannot just passively look at the world situation and at what’s going on in our country and our city; we need to stand on the Lord’s side and pray fighting prayers for Him to gain what He is after.

As we counteract the enemy and his attacks with our prayers of spiritual warfare, the Lord will have a way to gain what He is after.

We should not expect that the situation will improve; we need to realize that the world situation will get worse, not improve, until it will be like the times of Noah, full of violence and immorality.

To counteract that, the Lord needs to have saints and churches who engage in spiritual warfare because they have been trained to release fighting prayers.

We should not manufacture such prayers, nor should we rush to pray prayers of spiritual warfare; rather, we need to have the attitude of learning to pray, little by little, and pray prayers of spiritual warfare when the Lord needs to and He in us prays in this way.

We will all learn together because we will pray fighting prayers to shake the enemy, defeat him, and open the way for the Lord to come back to the earth.

May we prayerfully consider this matter before the Lord and with our spiritual companions, with the saints in our vital group, and with the saints in the prayer meeting.

We may even tell the Lord,

Lord Jesus, train us to pray fighting prayers, the prayers of spiritual warfare. We stand one with You, Lord, and we do not agree with the evil situation in the world today. We do not agree with the enemy gaining inroads and causing people to become more and more evil. Oh Lord, release the prayers that You need for You to gain what You are after. Keep us in the position of ascension, one with You, for us to pray on earth what You are praying in the heavens. Amen, Lord Jesus, we pray in one accord with the saints in the Body that Your will be done and Your kingdom come! Release the prayers that You need for the enemy’s kingdom to be shaken and for the way to be open for the Lord to come back to the earth! Amen, come Lord Jesus! Bring in Your kingdom on the earth!

Prayer is a Warfare; Prayers of Greatest Worth are Prayers in Ascension

The nature of prayer in Eph. 6 is spiritual warfare; the prayers of greatest worth are prayers in ascension.

We need to have all kinds of prayer, both the common, general, daily prayer, and the high prayer, the prayers in ascension.

Such prayers are prayers of spiritual warfare. We need to pass through the cross, be resurrected, and be ascended, and we need to remain in ascension with the Lord.

He is on the throne, and He is not touched by any earthly thing; we are one with Him in ascension, and our prayer is a warfare.

If we see that the prayers of the greatest worth are prayers in ascension, then we can understand that prayer is a warfare, and we will utter prayers of warfare; such is the nature of the prayer spoken of in Eph. 6.

All prayers that are expressed in the heavenly realm and from the throne of God are prayers of warfare (Rev. 5:8; 8:3-5).

We may pray in twos and threes, or we may pray in our vital group or our small prayer meeting, but what is uttered is the prayer of the greatest worth, the prayer in ascension.

When we are in ascension and we pray, all such prayers defeat the devil in the air and bring in God’s authority.

We realize that there’s someone in the air that controls the men on earth, usurping them so that they do not know God nor care for His interest.

The reason sinners are prevented from receiving the gospel and the saints are hindered from seeking the Lord is not just their hardness of heart but the enemy of God behind them.

It’s not enough for us only to preach the gospel and minister the word; there must be the fighting of the battle.

We must pray one with the Lord in ascension for the authority of God to be brought to the earth.

When the Lord’s authority is exercised, the sinners will one by one believe into the Lord and the saints will rise up to love the Lord.

When there are the prayers in ascension, the fighting prayers, the power of darkness is driven away, the authority of God is brought in, and God’s will shall be done on earth.

Our prayer is a warfare, and prayers of the greatest worth are prayers in ascension, the prayers of spiritual warfare.

Such prayers enable God to carry out His salvation and give grace to His children according to His good pleasure.

May we be the praying ones today.

May we be those in the heavenly realm who touch the throne of God to pour down prayers from heaven.

If we are on the earth, not realizing our position in ascension, we are defeated.

But when we’re in ascension with the Lod, seated together with Christ on the throne of God in the heavenlies, we will utter prayers of spiritual warfare

. If we see this, we will no longer pray merely for people or for situations but for the enemy behind people and behind situations to be bound.

We will not merely pray for this one or that one to change, or for this one or that one to repent or be better; we will pray for the enemy who usurps others to be dealt with.

We may see a husband quarrelling with his wife, and we will not take sides with the brother or with the sister, but we will pray to deal with the enemy behind them and behind this situation who bothers them.

Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood but against the spiritual forces, the evil powers and authorities, that are in the air; we pray not to deal with people or situations but to deal with the enemy that usurps man and hinders God’s purpose.

If we are in the heavenly realm, we are able to pray prayers of ascension, prayers of warfare (Eph. 2:6; 6:18).

When we are strengthened, we are renewed, and when we’re renewed, we are filled. When we are filled, we are equipped to fight.

It is in the fighting spirit that we pray fighting prayers of spiritual warfare (Eph. 3:14-16; 4:23-24; 5:18; 6:18).

May the Lord give us all a fighting spirit, both personally and corporately.

We need to stand against the stratagems of the devil by fighting the battle in the Body with fighting prayers.

We need to pray at every time in spirit to put on the whole armour of God to build up the Body of Christ as the house of God for the glory of God as the kingdom of God for the dominion of God for the complete fulfilment of the economy of God (Eph. 6:10-20). Amen!

Lord Jesus, teach us how to pray prayers in ascension, prayers that deal with the enemy and bring in the kingdom of God. Grant us to have a fighting spirit so that we may fight the spiritual battle in the Lord and in the Body. Keep us one spirit with You, Lord. May we pray prayers in the heavenly realm, from the throne of God, to deal with God’s enemy. Strengthen us into our inner man and renew our inner being. Fill us with Yourself and equip us to fight the spiritual warfare. Amen, Lord, may we pray fighting prayers of spiritual warfare for Your will to be done and Your kingdom to come! We stand against the stratagems of the devil by fighting the battle in the Body with fighting prayers! We want to pray at every time in spirit to put on the whole armour of God to build up the Body of Christ as the house of God and as the kingdom of God! Amen, Lord, may Your kingdom come and may Your will be done!
