The Center of the New Covenant is the Inner Law of Life which Operates Spontaneously

...I will put My law in their inward parts and write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. Jer. 31:33

Praise the Lord for the inner law of life, the law of the Spirit of life, which has been installed in our inner being at the time of our regeneration, to constitute us with the element of God, regulate us from within, and cause us to know God in the way of life! Hallelujah!

In Jer. 31 and Heb. 8 we see how God prophesied through Jeremiah and fulfilled in the New Testament the new covenant, the center of which is the inner law of life, which God will impart into our mind and inscribe on our heart.

The base, the foundation, and the prerequisite for God to do this is the blood of the covenant; based on the Lord’s death on the cross and His blood shed for us, we can now have the divine life, and this divine life has a law, which the Bible calls, the law of the Spirit of life (Rom. 8:2).

God really really wants to be one with us and make us one with Him, even to make us the same as He is in life and nature so that we may become His corporate expression and representation on earth.

He wants this so much that He Himself has gone through a process to make this happen.

We were fallen, sinful, dead in sins and offenses, rebellious against God, and without God in the world; in our very being we were enemies of God, rebellious toward Him, and deadened in our spirit.

So God came to be a man, the Lord Jesus Christ, and this God-man went through a process of incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension.

Through His vicarious death on the cross, He died in our stead, paying the penalty of death and taking all our sins upon Himself; He bore our sins on the cross, and by our faith in Him and repentance of the past, we are qualified to come forward to God, receive God as life, and be constituted with God.

Christ shed His human blood and brought it to the heavenly Holy of Holies to make propitiation for our sins; now God is appeased, His righteous requirements are satisfied, and He can forgive us, we are reconciled to Him, and He can dispense His life into us.

And the life He dispenses into us has a law; every life has a law, and the higher the life, the higher the law.

The divine life is the highest life in the universe, and the divine life in us has the highest law, being able to function and operate in us to not only deliver us from sin and death, but also to regulate our inward parts, fill us with the element of God, reconstitute us with God Himself, and cause us to know God inwardly in the way of life! Hallelujah!

God entered into a covenant with us, the new covenant, in which He does everything for us; we simply need to believe, receive and remain open to Him, and He makes redemption for us, He forgives us of our sins, He forgets our sins which are forgiven, He imparts His laws into our mind and inscribes them on our heart, He makes us His people and He is our God, we know God in the way of life, and we have no need for anyone to teach us, for each will know God. Hallelujah!

Thank You, Lord, for such a new covenant!

The Center of the New Covenant is the Inner Law of Life, the Automatic Principle and Spontaneous Power of the Divine Life

For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death. Rom. 8:2According to Heb. 8:10, God promises, according to the new covenant, to impart His laws into our mind and inscribe them on our heart (as prophesied in Jer. 31:33).

The center and centrality of the new covenant is the inner law of life, which is the law of the divine life we have received through regeneration; this law of the Spirit of life (Rom. 8:2) is the automatic principle and the spontaneous power of the divine life.

The Triune God has been processed through incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension to become the life-giving Spirit and come into our spirit; even more, He is the law of the Spirit of life installed in our spirit as an automatic principle to operate in us.

God went through all these processes to become an automatic principle, a spontaneous power, to install Himself into our being as a scientific law, an automatic principle, and work in us constantly and effortlessly.

When we receive the Lord Jesus as life, the divine life is dispensed into our spirit; the dispensing of the divine life from our spirit to every part of our soul is the operation of the Spirit of life in our spirit.

The Spirit of life in us is a law, an automatic principle; He is the inner law of life operating in us.

The all-inclusive Christ as the processed Triune God installed in our spirit at the time of our regeneration is an automatic principle and spontaneous power.

He first is dispensed into our spirit and makes our spirit life (Rom. 8:10); then, as we set our mind on the spirit, He spreads into our mind to make our mind life (v. 6), and eventually, our whole body will be made life – we will be swallowed up in life!

When we turn to our spirit, set our mind on our spirit, and live in the spirit, the inner law of life operates in us in a spontaneous and automatic way to dispense God’s element into every part of our inner being; this causes the divine life to spread from our spirit to our soul – firstly to our mind, then our emotion and will.

When we touch the Lord and allow Him to touch us, the law of the Spirit of life spontaneously operates in us, and that life spreads into our mind to make it life, then into every part of our soul. Hallelujah!

But if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, the spirit is life because of righteousness. Rom. 8:10 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. Rom. 8:6 And if the Spirit of the One who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. Rom. 8:11The inner law of life is not an outward law but an inward law; it refers to the divine life, which is nothing less than the life-giving Spirit, the all-inclusive Christ, and the processed and consummated Triune God.

The Father is the marvelous source of this life, the Son is the wonderful element of this life, and the Spirit is the excellent essence of this life; this life is dispensed into us at the time of our regeneration, and it operates as the inner law of life to accomplish God’s purpose in us.

We may say that Rom. 8 – having the subject of, The Law of the Spirit of Life – may be considered the focus of the entire Bible and the center of the universe! Amen!

When we experience Rom. 8, we are in the center of the universe.

In Rom. 8 we see that, after realizing that sin dwells in us and there’s nothing we can do to overcome it or get rid of it (Rom. 7), the law of the Spirit of life has freed us in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death (Rom. 8:2).

And this inner law of life continues to make all our inner being life, starting from our spirit and continuing with our soul and body.

Thank You, Lord, for passing through incarnation, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension to become the law of the Spirit of life installed in our spirit! Hallelujah, the inner law of life operates in us as the automatic principle and spontaneous power of the divine life to impart the life of God into our spirit, soul, and body! Lord, we open to the inner operation of the divine life; we switch on the law of life and allow it to operate in our being so that we may receive and be filled with the divine life in our spirit, soul, and body! Amen, Lord Jesus, we open to Your inner operation within us today!

The Operation of the Inner Law of Life causes us to be Freed from the Law of Sin, Enjoy God’s Life, Enter the Reality of the Body, and Become the Same as God!

But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares Jehovah: I will put My law in their inward parts and write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be My people. Jer. 31:33 For this is the covenant which I will covenant with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will impart My laws into their mind, and on their hearts I will inscribe them; and I will be God to them, and they will be a people to Me. Heb. 8:10God’s relationship with us today is based fully on the law of life; every life has a law and even is a law, and since God’s life is the highest life, the law of this life is the highest law (see Prov. 30:19; Isa. 40:30-31).

The law of life in an eagle causes it to soar; the law of life in our ears causes our ears to hear; the law of life in our nose causes it to smell; the law of life in a cat causes it to catch mice; the law of life in a dog causes it to bark.

God is in us right now as a law that operates automatically, spontaneously, and unconsciously to free us from the law of sin and of death; when we discover this, we will make one of the great discoveries in our life (Rom. 7:18-23; 8:2).

One of the biggest discoveries – even recoveries – in God’s economy is that the Triune God is in His believers as the inner law of life to spontaneously, automatically, effortlessly, and unconsciously operate in them to free them from the law of sin and of death.

We enjoy the dispensing of life into our being for the accomplishment of God’s economy by the working of the law of the Spirit of life (Jer. 31:33; Heb. 8:10; Rom. 8:2-3, 10, 6, 11).

The inner law of life operates in us to accomplish God’s economy by dispensing the divine life into every part of our being, thus making us able to fulfill the word of God.

As we enjoy the law of the Spirit of life, we are ushered into the reality of the Body of Christ; the inner law of life operates within us as we live in the Body and for the Body (Rom. 8:2, 28-29; 12:1-2, 11; Phil. 1:19).

How wonderful is this!

In Jer. 31:33 God imparts His law into us (singular), and when this spreads into our inward parts, it becomes the many laws in our being (Heb. 8:10).

When we receive the divine life, this highest life has the highest law of life; when this life spreads into our inner being, it becomes several laws in us.

The spreading of this law in us is the imparting, and the imparting is the inscribing of the law in our heart (2 Cor. 3:3).

As the Lord is spreading, imparting, and inscribing the law of life into us, He reduces the old element of Adam from us and He adds the new element of Christ into us, thus accomplishing the transformation in life in a metabolic way for us (2 Cor. 3:18).

God writes His law in our being, and this one law becomes the many laws in the many parts of our inward being.

The center, the centrality, of the new covenant is the inner law of life [cf. Jer. 31:33a]….This law is not an outward law but an inward law. In its essence, this law refers to the divine life, and the divine life is nothing less than the life-giving Spirit, the all-inclusive Christ, and the processed and consummated God….We may say that the law is with us. But this law is the divine life, and the divine life is the processed and consummated Triune God—the marvelous source as the Father, the wonderful element as the Son, and the excellent essence as the Spirit. This is the center, the content, and the reality of the new covenant. Witness Lee, Life-study of Jeremiah, pp. 183-184

When we speak to someone about the Lord, we need to seek to minister Christ to them, even cooperate with God to inscribe Christ into their being; in this way, they become a letter of Christ!

Hallelujah, we are inscribed with the Spirit as the divine and mystical ink to become living letters of Christ, so that others may read Christ in us!

By the working, the spreading, of the law of life within us, God makes us the same as He is in life and nature and expression!

Hallelujah, the inner law of life conforms us to the image of the Firstborn Son of God!

How can we be conformed to the image of Christ as the firstborn Son of God? It is by the working of the inner law of life.

The way we are shaped into the image of Christ is by the operating of the inner law of life; this law regulates us, it spreads into all the parts of our inner being to regulate them, and it also shapes us, conforming us to the image of Christ!

The law of the Spirit of life regulates us from within by and according to its life element, and it also imparts the divine element into all the parts of our inner being, shaping us in the image of Christ!

Hallelujah, God is now in us as a law that operates automatically, spontaneously, and unconsciously to free us from the law of sin and of death! Amen, Lord, we open to enjoy the dispensing of life into our being for the accomplishment of God’s economy! May there be an inner operation of the law of life in our being today, so that we may be ushered into the reality of the Body of Christ. Amen, Lord, we just say Amen to Your inner operation; may You work and spread as the law of life within us to make us the same as You are! Yes, Lord, conform us to the image of the firstborn Son of God by the working of the law of life!
