Being Mingled with God to be Transformed into Precious Stones Built up Together

October 18, 2016 by aGodMan 7 Comments

As components of the church, the believers, who were created from dust (Gen. 2:7), must be transformed in their human nature by and with the divine nature through the working of the Spirit (2 Cor. 3:3, 18) to become precious stones for God’s eternal building (Matt. 16:18; John 1:42; 1 Pet. 2:5; Rev. 21:18-21); the Christian life is a life of transformation — daily God is seeking to transform us (Rom. 12:2-3; 2 Cor. 4:16). Witness Lee

The breastplate that the high priest had to wear on top of the ephod had twelve precious stones on which the names of the twelve tribes of Israel were engraved; this signifies that we as God’s redeemed and transformed people are being built together to become one entity. The high priest wore the building of […]

The Breastplate is Central Point of the Priesthood: God’s Leading is in the Church

October 17, 2016 by aGodMan 3 Comments

The breastplate being borne upon Aaron’s heart for a memorial before Jehovah signifies the entire church as one built-up entity being borne upon Christ’s loving heart for a memorial, a pleasing remembrance, before God (Exo. 28:29). Witness Lee

This week in our crystallization-study of Exodus we come to the matter of the breastplate – the central and ultimate point of the priesthood. In Exodus 28, when the priesthood is introduced, there’s a great emphasis on the garments the priest wore; these garments signify our living as priests to God – our living must […]

Being Priests Expressing Christ in our Living to Light the Lamps in the Meetings

October 15, 2016 by aGodMan 3 Comments

The purpose of the gathering of the believers is to have the sanctuary of God with the lighting of the lamps by qualified priests so that we may have a vision of the different aspects of Christ and see the way to enter into the depths of Christ within God. Witness Lee

As believers in Christ, we are priests of God and members of the Body of Christ, and we meet with other believers in the church; our responsibility and privilege as we meet is that we light the lamps, that is, cause the divine light to ascend. Our God is light, and we as believers in […]

We see the Divine Light when we are in our Spirit and in the Church, God’s Sanctuary

October 12, 2016 by aGodMan 12 Comments

God’s way is hidden in the sea, and His paths in the great waters, with His footsteps, are not known to men (Psa. 77:19), but His way is revealed in His sanctuary, that is, in our spirit and in the church (Eph. 2:22; 1 Tim. 3:15). When we exercise our spirit and live in the church, God’s way becomes clear to us. (Psa. 77:13, footnote 1)

As believers in Christ we are priests of God, and it is our function as priests to light the lamps in the Holy Place, that is, walk in the light and cause the divine light to ascend as we meet with the saints. We need to realize that we are a holy people, we have […]

We are Children of Light Walking in the Light and Lighting the Lamps as we Meet

October 10, 2016 by aGodMan 7 Comments

Matt. 18:20 For where there are two or three gathered into My name, there am I in their midst.

This week we are enjoying a particular wonderful matter in Exodus which is lighting the lamps in the sanctuary of God, which is done by those serving as priests clothed with the glorious garments (typifying the expression of Christ). After God finished speaking concerning the tabernacle and the furniture, and just before the introduction of […]

Being Further Reconciled to God by the Application of the Cross to our Natural Life

October 8, 2016 by aGodMan 3 Comments

Gal. 5:24 But they who are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and its lusts.

This week I am really impressed how much God desires to reconcile us with Himself; He became a man and died for us – the Righteous for the unrighteous, so that we may be fully reconciled to God. Christ died for our sins, putting all our sins on Himself, so that by believing into Him […]

Christ was made Sin for us so that We might Become the Righteousness of God in Him

October 7, 2016 by aGodMan 7 Comments

In Adam we fell so low that we became sin. Not only were we sinful before God — we became sin itself. But now in Christ, having been brought thoroughly back to God, we may enjoy Christ to such an extent that in Him we become God’s righteousness. What a salvation! What a reconciliation! To have this enjoyment is to be on the peak of God’s salvation, to be on the peak of our holy Zion. Witness Lee

In 2 Cor. 5:19-20 Paul speaks of two steps of reconciliation; the first step is to reconcile sinners to God from sin (Christ died for our sins for us to be reconciled to God), and the second step is to reconcile believers living in the natural life to God from the flesh (Christ was made sin […]
