In the Divine Light in Church Meetings we Clearly see God’s Administration and His Move

April 20, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Psa. 73:16-17 When I considered this in order to understand it, it was a troublesome task in my sight, until I went into the sanctuary of God; then I perceived their end.

The seven lamps of the golden lampstand are the seven Spirits before God’s throne, the seven lamps of fire burning before God’s throne, showing us that the seven lamps are related to God’s move and administration. We have seen our need to light the lamps in the Holy Place, which is related to our being […]

Causing Light to Ascend by the Humanity of Jesus saturated with the Spirit of Christ

April 17, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

We need to enjoy the humanity of Jesus and be filled with the Spirit of Christ to cause light to ascend in the church as the shining golden lampstand.

It is our priestly duty as believers in Christ to light the lamps by causing the light to ascend in the church life, especially in the church meeting; this was a perpetual statute for the priests in the Old Testament and it is our duty today. On one hand, the divine light comes from God, […]

Our Priestly Duty is to Pray and Read the Word to have God’s Speaking, His Shining

April 16, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Psa. 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path.

As believers in Christ, it is our priestly duty to burn the incense and light the lamps, that is, pray and read the word of God, so that the churches may be shining and the lampstand would be bright. The light of the lampstand depends on the strength of our priestly service; if we exercise […]

The Need for Lighting the Lamps to have Light in our Serving, Fighting, and Moving

April 15, 2019 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

Rom. 13:12 The night is far advanced, and the day has drawn near. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the weapons of light.

This week in our deeper and prayerful study of the book of Numbers we come to the matter of, Lighting the Lamps, which is specifically mentioned in Num. 8:1-4. Although many other details related the Tent of Meeting are omitted from this record, the priests are specifically instructed to light the lamps of the lampstand. […]

Being Priests Expressing Christ in our Living to Light the Lamps in the Meetings

October 15, 2016 by aGodMan 3 Comments

The purpose of the gathering of the believers is to have the sanctuary of God with the lighting of the lamps by qualified priests so that we may have a vision of the different aspects of Christ and see the way to enter into the depths of Christ within God. Witness Lee

As believers in Christ, we are priests of God and members of the Body of Christ, and we meet with other believers in the church; our responsibility and privilege as we meet is that we light the lamps, that is, cause the divine light to ascend. Our God is light, and we as believers in […]

Being Saturated and Possessed by God to Light the Lamps in the Meetings of the Church

October 11, 2016 by aGodMan 7 Comments

The one who lights the lamps is a person who is possessed by God, who is saturated with God, and who lives absolutely for God. Whatever such a person says and does in the sanctuary of God is the lighting of the lamps; all his actions are the lighting of the lamps. When the holy priests speak in the church meetings, the light ascends, and the sanctuary is full of light (Exo. 27:20; 1 Cor. 14:19; Matt. 5:14-16; Mark 4:21). Witness Lee

As believers in Christ, we are holy priests lighting the holy lamps in the holy place, the meetings of the church. Hallelujah, our God is light, and in Him there’s no darkness at all, and we are children of light who are daily learning to walk in the light. The nature of God’s expression – […]

Proper Prayer (burning the incense) issues out of God’s Light from Reading the Word

June 25, 2015 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Proper prayer is prayer that issues out of the light from reading the Word; the light from the Word will enlighten us to have the right words to pray.

Lighting the lamps in the Holy Place goes together with burning the incense; when the priests were dressing the lamps in the morning, they had to burn the incense on the altar, and when they set up the lamps at twilight, they also burned the incense (see Exo. 30:7-8). Every time we read the Bible […]
