God’s history in man and with man continues today, and everything we do and say must be part of this history; we need to be one with God in His history, even writing God’s today’s history by being one with God in our living, daily walk, schooling, job, and business.
We may read the Bible and realize that God is moving and working, and we may have a sense that even today He is moving in man; but do we live merely in the human history or also in the divine history?
We were all born in the human history; we were born of our parents to be part of the human history, but we were reborn to be part of the divine history, to enter into and live in the history of God in man.
If we live merely in the world, if we merely take care of all these outward things and are diligent to study, work, provide for our family, take care of our family life, etc – yet not live in the divine history, we live a life in vain.
The human history is full of problems, wars, chaos, suffering, famine, and death; the divine history, however, is going on in parallel and within the human history, and in the divine history God is always moving, operating, and advancing.
We need to have our mind renewed in the word of God so that we may be transformed in our soul and not be fashioned according to this age.
Simply by living in the world today we can be fashioned according to the present image of this age; we may dress, behave, live, and express ourselves in the same way as the others do in this age, according to the trend of this world.
Even more, in these uncertain times when people worry so much about their future, what will the pandemic do to their life and living, and what will happen to their marriage, job, and career, it is so easy to just “go with the flow” and worry about the same things.
Oh Lord, may we all – as believers in Christ – return to the word of God, exercise our spirit over the word to receive the Lord’s light and supply, and may we live in the divine history within human history!
May we live not only in the outward human history but even more, write God’s today’s history by living one with the Lord in all things, in all situations, in all environments, and at all time!
May we give Christ the preeminence and focus not on what’s going on outwardly but on allowing the Lord to make His home in our heart through faith, so that we may be full of strength to apprehend with all the saints what the immeasurable riches of Christ is, and be filled unto all the fullness of God!
May our Daily Living be Part of God’s History in His Move to Write God’s Today’s History!
How much we long that we would be one with God in all things so that our living, our daily walk, our schooling, our job, our business, and all things related to our daily life be part of God’s history!
All the things of our daily living must be a part of God’s history in His marvelous and excellent move on earth today.
Our history as God’s people is not merely the outward human history; rather, it is the history of the working and operating God who energizes us and causes us to be energized together with Him for the accomplishment of His eternal economy!
As we pray daily that the Father would strengthen us into the inner man through His Spirit so that Christ may make His home in our heart, we are energized and strengthened for the accomplishment of God’s economy concerning Christ and the church, which will consummate in the New Jerusalem.
May we realize that our living, our daily walk, our schooling, our job, and our business must all be a part of God’s history in His marvelous and excellent move on the earth today!
Our aspiration is to be the normal Christians, today’s overcomers, those who answer the Lord’s present calling and meet the Lord’s present need in His recovery; as such ones, we realize that it is NOT enough merely to be “a good brother” or “a good sister” but be overcomers!
It is altogether not sufficient for us to be a so-called good brother or good sister, those who attend the meetings regularly, behave rightly, and live a life that is somewhat perfect with no sin or offense; this is not enough.
We need to be one with God in His history and write God’s today’s history by allowing God to move in us and energize us to make us His loving overcomers in this age.
Our aspiration is to be one with God in life, in living, and in our entire doing today on this earth! As such ones, we march on as one with the energizing God – in Him, with Him, by Him, and for Him, so that we may be the vital, living, and active ones, His overcomers of today!
We want to be today’s Joshuas and Calebs who take God at His word and overcome to take possession of the God-promised land for Christ that we may become His possession!
We want to be today’s Ruths who turn to God’s economy, enter into the good land, marry ourselves to Christ, and bring forth Christ to meet the need of men today.
To do this, we need to realize that our daily living needs to be in oneness with the Lord so that we may write God’s today’s history.
We may be restricted outwardly in our doing things because of the regulations imposed by our country to contain the COVID19 pandemic, but even our shopping and our walking in the park can be part of God’s today’s history!
We may not be able to go to school and meet our friends, go to university and hang out with our fellow students, or even go to work and be at the office as usual, but we can live one spirit with the Lord and write God’s today’s history by allowing the Lord to have the preeminence in everything.
Behind the human history taking place outwardly today we can have many inward transactions with the Lord, doing so much in secret with Him by opening to Him and seeking to be one with Him, longing that we may live in the divine history!
We may be restricted to our home for the time being, but we can learn from Paul, who was in prison in the latter part of his life but had the earnest desire and longing that in nothing he would be ashamed but that in all things he would magnify Christ!
Our aspiration today is, whether through life or through death, in lockdown or in freedom, at home or abroad, we would magnify Christ in all things!
And when we feel that the situation is so tough that we may think we’re in a fiery furnace, we need to realize that the Lord is right there with us as He was with Daniel’s three friends in Dan. 3.
He joins us in our trials and confinement, in our persecutions and sufferings, and when we come out of this fiery furnace, we don’t even smell like fire – we don’t talk about the fire we just passed through but rather we have an inward liberation! Hallelujah!
Lord Jesus, make us the normal Christians, today’s overcomers, those who answer Your present calling and meet the Lord’s present need in Your recovery by continuing the history of God in man! Amen, Lord, we want to cooperate with You and be one with You in our daily living, in our daily walk, in our schooling, in our job, and in our business so that we may write God’s today’s history! We open to You, Lord, that You may energize us, vitalize us, move in us, and make us one with You! We want to march on as one with the energizing God – in God, with God, by God, and for God, being the living, active, and vital ones who write God’s today’s history in their daily life!
In His Economy God intends to Work Himself into us to be our Everything and make us His Expression, His Enlargement
We praise the Lord for unveiling us to see the divine history within the human history; in this divine history what is being recovered today is God’s economy, which is focused on God’s central work.
The central work of God is to work Himself in Christ into His chosen and redeemed people (that’s us!) to make Himself one with us and us one with Him for His corporate expression (Eph. 3:16-17; 4:4-6).
Outwardly the human history is restrictive and confining, but the central work of God cannot be restricted by anything!
No matter the situation, no matter the restriction, God is continuing His central work to work Himself in Christ into us to make us His corporate expression, His enlargement.
With God there’s no limitation, no beginning, and no ending; within Himself He made an economy to work Himself into man and be one with man, be man’s life and life supply and everything, so that man would be His corporate expression on earth.
In His intention in His economy God desires to have a corporate entity composed of God and man – God in man, man in God, God mingled with man, man mingled with God – to be His expression for eternity!
The divine history has its source and beginning with God’s economy. In His economy God wants to make His Christ be everything to us – He wants His Christ to be our centrality and universality so that we may be produced to be God’s increase, His enlargement, the church.
This is God’s intention from eternity to eternity.
At the end of this age, God’s ultimate move in His recovery is to carry out His economy by working Himself – the Father, the Son, and the Spirit – into us to become our life so that we may live Him out and express Him as His Body, the church (Eph. 3:16-21; 4:4-6, 15-16).
We need to daily pray that the Father would strengthen us through the Spirit into the inner man so that Christ may make His home in our heart.
Even such a short prayer every morning, Lord, make Your home in my heart a little more today! can cause us to advance with the Lord and write God’s today’s history in His economy.
All throughout the day we can cooperate with God’s central work and write God’s today’s history by praying short prayers, keeping ourselves in oneness with the Lord, and learning to give the Lord the preeminence in all things.
In His economy God wants to work Christ into us to be our life, life supply, and everything, so that we may become His corporate expression; He desires to gain a corporate entity composed of God and man to be His expression for eternity.
May we see the world’s ultimate situation in which we live today, realize what is God’s ultimate move in His ultimate recovery, and fulfill our ultimate responsibility by writing God’s today’s history in our daily life, living one spirit with the Lord so that He may work Himself into us to gain us as His corporate expression, the enlargement of the manifestation of Christ on earth today!
Lord Jesus, cause us to see what is God’s ultimate move on earth today, realizing that He has an ultimate recovery in the world’s ultimate situation, and His desire is that we would cooperate with Him to write God’s today’s history! Amen, Lord, may we fulfill our ultimate responsibility by allowing God to work Himself in Christ as the Spirit into us to be our life, our life supply, and our everything, to produce us as the increase of God, the enlargement of God, for the corporate expression of God! Amen, Lord, we want to be one with You today in our daily life!

- Hymns on this topic:
– God’s eternal economy / Is to make man the same as He is / In life and nature, / But not in the Godhead / And to make Himself one with man / And man one with Him / Thus to be enlarged and expanded in His expression / That all His divine, that all His divine / Attributes may be expressed in human virtues. (Song on, God’s eternal economy)
– God is longing for His ultimate move, / That He and we would be one eternally. / “Lord, these days are the consummation of the age. / Lord, in these days rekindle our love toward You.” (Song on, God is Longing for His Ultimate Move)
– As the product, the fulfillment, / Will the church in glory stand, / Consummation of the purpose / In eternal ages planned. / God will have His corporate vessel, / All His glory to contain; / Lord, we’re wholly for Thy purpose / All Thy goal in us attain. (Hymns #1325)
