This morning I enjoyed being reminded what our position is in our salvation – when we were saved, we not only received the divine life into us, but we also were raised together with Christ (Col. 3:1-2) and seated with Him in the heavenlies (Eph. 2:5-6)!
Actually, even “when we were dead in offenses, God made us alive together with Christ… and raised us up together with Him and seated us together with Him in the heavenlies”. Our position right now is that we are one with Christ at the right hand of God, far above the earthly circumstances and environments! Our salvation brings us into the position of ascension!
Also, the ascended life of Christ is within us – Christ as the life-giving Spirit in ascension is in our spirit! We are connected to the heavens and have the heavens open to us because this life flows into us from heaven and it also brings us to heaven! We are heavenly people who have a heavenly life within and live a heavenly life without on earth!
To maintain this life of ascension, we need to “set our mind on the things which are above, not on the things which are on the earth”. In our daily living we need to maintain the position of ascension by continually touching heaven in our inner being and living in a heavenly condition – we need to touch the Lord in our spirit daily!
By enjoying Him, eating and drinking Him, in fellowship with our dear Lord Jesus, we are enjoying & being infused with heaven! When we constantly turn to our spirit – where the heavenly life is – and touch the Lord, keeping a constant contact with Him, we will live in a heavenly atmosphere and live a heavenly life on earth.
When others touch us, we will dispense heavenly supply to them, and bring them where we are, in the heavens!
This is not “super-spiritual” and “un-attainable” – the Lord intends that we would be in a continual contact/fellowship/touch with Him, so that we would live in an organic oneness with Him all the time – He would live in us, and we would live in and to Him.
This is both our position and our real situation, to which we strive to attain by touching Him again and again!
