the divine truth is revealed in the Bible, the Word of God; we need to be absolute for the truth!

November 7, 2011 by aGodMan 2 Comments

the divine truth is revealed in the Bible, the Word of God; we need to be absolute for the truth! [in the picture: The Holy Bible, Recovery Version]This week we are starting a new Holy Word for Morning Revival entitled, The Four Great Pillars In The Lord’s Recovery. We recently shared concerning message one via, Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel, and you can also read about it via holdingtotruth.com – the four great pillars.

The Lord’s recovery is mainly founded upon four great pillars which are the truth, life, the church, and the gospel. The truth is the entire truth as revealed in the Word of God and is properly interpreted according to God’s New Testament economy.

The Truth is The Bible, the Word of God!

What an amazing thing it is that we have the Bible, THE BOOK, the Word of God, in our hands today! Everything in our Christian life and in our church life should be based on the Word of God. The divine truths are not something according to our imagination or desire, but they are revealed in the Bible as the Word of God!

The Bible is indeed THE BOOK among all other books – when you read the Bible with an open heart to God, you receive not just knowledge about God but you can receive God Himself, His very divine life! In the Bible we see all the divine truths.

Today we need to know the truth as revealed in the Word of God and we also need to know the proper interpretation of the truth. The world and even Christianity as a whole has spoiled us and even defiled the way we receive the Word of God and understand it.

We need the proper interpretation of the Word of God – we need “Ezra’s” who would educate us to see the meaning and the sense of the Word. God moves and speaks through His Word, and all His riches are in His Word. Footnote 2 on 2 Tim. 2:15 says,

There is the need of the word of the truth, rightly unfolded, to enlighten the darkened people, inoculate against the poison, swallow up the death, and bring the distracted back to the proper track.

We need to be Absolute for the Truth

Brother Watchman Nee shares concerning this matter in his ministry – we shouldn’t dilute the truth or lower its standard so that it may fit our experience or our natural preference. The truth is absolute, and we need to be absolute for the truth.

We may not live up to what the truth says or our experience may not match the truth, but this doesn’t mean that we need to lower the standard of the truth. It is not our experience or our feelings that qualifies us to speak the truth.

All men speak vanity (Psa. 12:2) and even we speak a lot of things that are not the truth – but this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t learn to speak the truth!

If the truth is affected by man, the truth is no longer the truth. God is God no matter what we do, how we feel, or what we say. The Bible is the Word of God no matter where we are in our experience.

We shouldn’t look into ourselves to find a qualification to speak the truth; rather, we should exercise our spirit to put ourselves and our feelings aside and simply speak the truth as it is revealed in the Word of God!

“If the truth is not something absolute for you, you don’t know God, and you do not know God’s word” (bro. Nee). The truth is absolute, and we need to be absolute for the truth!

The Standard of the Lord’s Recovery

The first and foremost matter in the Lord’s recovery is NOT a person and is NOT an experience – it is THE TRUTH. What brought us into the Lord’s recovery and what keeps us here is not merely the sweet church life, the vital groups, the gospel preaching, the rich meetings, or even some persons who are enjoying the Lord very much and are our patterns.

The first great pillar in the Lord’s recovery is the Truth, and what brought us into the Lord’s recovery is the truth. The extent to which the Lord can recover our being to His original intention is the extent to which we are constituted with the truth.

The standard of the Lord’s recovery depends on the standard of the truth we put out. We need to get into the truth and be educated in the divine truths so that we may be constituted with the truth and speak the truth.

What brings life into people is the speaking of the truth. It is in the word of God that we see the living Christ, the life-giving Spirit, the divine life and its riches, the church, the Body of Christ, and the New Jerusalem. As seeking ones and as lovers of Christ we need to get the top spiritual education in the divine truths, that we may be constituted with the truth.

[sharing inspired from the book, Truth, Life, the Church, and the Gospel—the Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery(Witness Lee) and The Collected Works of Watchman Nee, vol. 57, as quoted in the Holy Word for Morning Revival on, The Four Great Pillars in the Lord’s Recovery. You can follow the articles on The Four Great Pillars on this blog. Intro: being absolute for the truth.]

O, Lord, we give ourselves to You to know You in Your Word. Make us those who pay the price to be constituted with the truth and to know the truth. May we not lower the standard of the truth but rather allow the truth to uplift our whole being and experience. We want to be absolute for the truth as revealed in the Word of God. Save us, Lord, from uplifting anything else besides what Your Word speaks and its proper interpretation in the light of Your economy!

The Bible is the Book of truth b/c it is the Word of GOD (2Tim 3:16) and all the Divine truths are contained in it, but we need a proper interpretation of the Bible to bring out the truths contained in it.

The urgent need we have today is the word of the truth rightly unfolded, to enlighten the darkened people, inoculate against the poison, swallow up the death, and bring the distracted back to the proper track (2 Tim. 2:15).
