in the local churches God is recovering the practical building up of the church for His return

God’s ultimate intention and His heart’s desire is to gain the earth – for this He must obtain a built-up church to be the house of God(where He could dwell and be expressed fully) and the city of God(where He could rule and reign). Everywhere in the Bible and especially in the Psalms we see that God wants to bring in His kingdom on the earth and rule over the earth. This is why the Lord Jesus taught us to pray, Your name be sanctified! Your kingdom come! Your will be done on earth as it is being done on heaven (Matt. 6:8-10).

The Psalmist also expresses this desire of God in Psalm 8:1 when he says, Jehovah our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! But is this realized today? Is the Lord’s name excellent today? Is His will done on earth as it is being done in the heavens? Is His name sanctified on earth? O, Lord Jesus…

He is waiting for the building up of the local churches, not “megachurches” or large churches necessarily, but small shining testimonies of the Body of Christ in the major cities on the earth, where the Lord is expressed and His authority is manifested!

If we see that the building up of the local churches in the Lord’s recovery is what the Lord is waiting for in order for Him to return, we will be so desperate to pray, groan, and intercede that the Lord would gain these built-up churches!

Throughout the ages the Lord has recovered many truths and even many practices, from the justification of faith to the high peak of the divine revelation in the Lord’s recovery. All the truth has been recovered, the gospel has been preached extensively so that almost everyone has heard about the Lord Jesus, but what is the Lord doing right now?

He raised up so many believers everywhere in the world, and He even gained many local churches, genuine expressions of the Body of Christ locally. What He wants to do today is to recover the practical building up of His local churches in many places with the many believers as the building materials.

At least in the major cities in the world, the Lord wants to gain a shining testimony, a golden lampstand, where He could be expressed and represented. Where is the building today? Is it in the many religions out there?

Is it in the many free groups and the many denominations? When we look at the general situation in Christianity today we can clearly see that God needs a pure and set apart group of people, just as in the days of Abraham, who follow Him absolutely and are one with Him for the fulfillment of His heart’s desire.

God can’t get His building in a full way in the denominations, in the many religions, or even in the free groups…

How can He gain a built-up church when there are so many organizations, so many forms, so many doctrines, and so many human opinions? We have to humbly admit that God can have the recovery of the practical building for His coming back only in the local churches in the Lord’s recovery.

We live in very crucial times today – We can be the generation who brings the Lord back!

Why would we care for anything else but the building up of the local churches for God to obtain the House of God and the City of God? Why would we focus on any other works, no matter how good and scriptural they are, if they are not for the ultimate goal of God’s purpose to bring in His kingdom on the earth?

How much we need to pray-read the Psalms with this view, pray over the Word of God to have God’s heart’s desire being infused into us so that we may be recovered from the law to Christ, that we may enjoy Christ in the house of God, have the house be enlarged to be the city of God, and from that city God would recover and rule over the whole earth!

Lord, we just give ourselves to You for Your ultimate move today! Make us those who meet Your need! May Your name be excellent in all the earth! Lord, Your kingdom come! Your will be done! Even as it is being done in the heavens – so may it be done on the earth! Recover the practical building up of the Body of Christ in all the local churches on the earth! Lord, gain the building! Perfect the saints to be the materials for the building up of the Body of Christ expressed in many localities!
