This was my first Poland camp and I enjoyed it so much. We spent a whole week enjoying the Lord with the saints… and gaining more of the Lord! I will definitely come back next year!
I really enjoyed that we have the birthright. When we were born, the birthright was given to us. The birthright is the special portion of the firstborn. The birthright included a double portion of the land, the priesthood, and the kingship. If we do not exercise our priesthood today, we cannot fulfill our priestly duty in the kingdom.
Exercising the priesthood makes us priests, those who bring man to God. And exercising the kingship makes us kings, those who bring God to man. We HAVE to treasure our birthright, and we CANNOT despise our birthright like Esau and Reuben. Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of lentil stew. Reuben lost his birthright because he laid with his father’s concubine.
In God’s eyes, fornication is very very sinful. Rather than being like Esau or Reuben, we have to be like Joseph and Jacob. We have to flee like Joseph did. We must be active to flee youthful lusts and escape the corruption which is in the world.
“But flee youthful lusts, and pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.” – 2 Timothy 2:22
What we are privileged to enjoy in Christ today is the foretaste of the blessing in the coming kingdom. The proper enjoyment of this foretaste will usher us into the full taste of the kingdom blessings.
As the church of the firstborn, the blessings of the birthright are for us to enjoy today as a foretaste of the coming kingdom. Our enjoyment of Christ and the practice of the priesthood and kingship TODAY are the preparation and qualification for our participating in Christ’s kingdom tomorrow. We have to run the race, and we have to do it TODAY!
We always have today, but we don’t always have a tomorrow. We should spend time with the Lord. We should run this race with the saints – do it together! I WON’T GIVE UP, I MUST PURSUE! This race is not a sprint, we can’t wait to the end then start sprinting, we have to keep running like it’s a marathon.
We should run this race with others – because when we fall over, they can help us up and start running again! Those who take care of today, the priesthood, the kingship and the double portion of the land, the Lord will come back on “that day” for them!
Just take care of today – ENJOY THE LORD, GROW IN HIM!
I won’t give up, I will keep running until I have attained the goal of my calling!
I must press on, I must pursue until I lay hold of Him, who laid hold of me!
