Pilgrims on Earth Live the Life of the Altar and the Tent waiting for New Jerusalem

December 4, 2024 by aGodMan 12 Comments

And Jehovah appeared to Abram and said, To your seed I will give this land. And there he built an altar to Jehovah who had appeared to him. Gen. 12:7

As believers in Christ who walk in the steps of our father Abraham’s faith, we must live the life of the altar and the tent, taking Christ as our life and the church as our living, realizing that we don’t belong to this world but our home is the New Jerusalem, the city which has […]

Live the Tent Life in the Church Life waiting for the New Jerusalem, our Real Country

By faith he dwelt as a foreigner in the land of promise as in a foreign [land,] making his home in tents...Heb. 11:9

As believers in Christ, we are sojourners on earth living the tent life in the church life as the reality of the Tent of Meeting, and we’re waiting for its ultimate consummation, the New Jerusalem. If we fail and forsake the altar and the tent, we can simply return to the Lord, have His […]

Walking in the Steps of Abraham’s Faith by Living the Life of the Altar and the Tent

August 31, 2022 by aGodMan 12 Comments

I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear, / But now my eye has seen You. Job 42:5

If we believers in Christ would walk in the steps of Abraham’s faith, we must be those who live the life of the altar and the tent; we need to put everything on the altar and use what the Lord allows to remain in the tent for His purpose. Abraham is our father in […]

Having a Proper Fear of God because we will all Appear before Christ’s Judgment Seat

The work of each will become manifest; for the day will declare it, because it is revealed by fire, and the fire itself will prove each one's work, of what sort it is. 1 Cor. 3:13

As believers in Christ, we should have a proper fear of God because we will all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; the holy fear of God is actually a source of joy as a fountain of life and as a tree of life. To fear God doesn’t mean that we are afraid of […]

Keep the Feast by Blending, Praising, Enjoying, and being Reminded we’re Sojourners

Rev. 21:2-3 And I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice out of the throne, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them and be their God.

The Bible is a book of life, our God is a living God, and we are the living people of the living God called by Him to enjoy Him and feast on Him. Throughout the Bible we see how God cares more for what we eat than for what we do; in His mind what […]

the recovery of living a life of the altar and the tent in the church life today

When God appears to us, when we see Him face to face, something of God is being transfused into us – His element is now transfused into our being. Once this transfusion takes place, there’s something going on in us – the element of God is being infused into every part of our being! Before God appeared to us, we did not have faith or we did not even think of God and His purpose; but when He appeared to us, we have His element transfused into us and infused into every part of our inner being… Slowly, this element saturates us so that we cannot help it but believe! This is faith: the element of God transfused into use, infused into us, and saturating us! [read more online]

may the gospel not stop with us, but we would be seeds of the gospel

This morning I was enjoying the verses in Hebrews 11:8-9: 8. By faith Abraham, being called, obeyed to go out unto a place which he was to receive as an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9. By faith he dwelt as a foreigner in the land of promise as […]
