Praying Toward God's Interests so that God would Listen to Our Prayer [in the picture: 1 Kings 8:48-49, praying toward God's land, His house, and His city]

Have you ever wondered, What kind of prayers does God listen to and answer? As Christians we pray for a lot of things, but how do we know that God will listen to our prayers? In the Bible we see a very important principle concerning prayer: God will listen to our prayers if our prayers […]

being the seekers of God who care for nothing but gaining God and obtaining God

February 24, 2012 by aGodMan 5 Comments

It is not a matter of “keeping the law”, “doing the right thing and not the wrong thing”, “being good and not being evil” – all these belong to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. It is a matter of enjoying God, seeking God, obtaining God, and even possessing God as our everything. God wants us to experience Him and enjoy Him to the extent that we honestly and genuinely say, “Lord, I don’t care for anything but the tree of life – I don’t care for anything other than God Himself”. This is what the psalmist experienced, enjoyed, and spoke about when he wrote Psalm 73. [read more online]

In our experience whether the law as the living word of God is positive or negative depends on what the condition of our heart is when we receive the Word! If we are loving seekers of God loving Him, humbling ourselves before Him, and regarding the law as His living Word through which we can contact Him and abide in Him – then the law will become a channel through which we receive life and nourishment for our supply! If our heart is humble, open, unloaded, unveiled, and appreciative for the Lord we love, we are infused with God’s substance through the law as God’s word and we even become one with God in life, nature, and expression (Rom. 8:14; Phil. 1:21)! Christ, the house of God, the city of God, and the earth: the main points of the book of Psalms!

August 16, 2011 by aGodMan 4 Comments

It is so easy to read the Psalms and take them in an outward, natural way, for our comfort and our encouragement… but if we do this, we fail to see what the Psalms really reveal. In the Psalms there are four major words being developed and spoken of: Christ, the house, the city, and […]
