In God’s Eyes Death is more Defiling and Abominable than Sin, but Life is most Precious

September 20, 2018 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

John 5:25 Truly, truly, I say to you, An hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

Leviticus 11 is concerned very much with death, for according to the Bible, death is more defiling and abominable than sin, and being cleansed from death takes longer than being cleansed from sin. The fact that Leviticus 11 speaks of dealing with and overcoming death in relation to our diet as God’s people shows that […]

Learning that our Time with the Lord in the Morning is Really a Revival

Eating is man's destiny, And the Lord's recovery, This defeats the enemy, Overcome! Come enjoy the tree of life, Leave the doctrines, leave the strife! Overcome by eating Christ, Overcome! (Hymns #1273)

After many years of doing morning revival – from a young person to a working adult – and having many ups and downs, I have learned the lesson that our time with the Lord in the morning is really a revival. As a young person, I appreciated the need for a time with the Lord […]

Giving Christ the Ground to Fill us with Life for us to Minister Life in our Service

July 20, 2016 by aGodMan 1 Comment

In order to minister life to others, we need to be joined to Christ, abide in Christ, and give Him the ground in us to fill us so that His life, His nature, His likes, and His inclination become our life, our nature, our likes, and our inclination; in our service His all becomes our all (1 John 2:27; Eph. 3:16-17). Witness Lee

As believers in Christ, we have not only the human life inherited from our parents but also the divine life which we received through regeneration; now we need to practice giving the Lord the ground to fill us with life so that we may minister His life in our service. The Lord Jesus came so […]

Being Brought on to Maturity by Being Filled with the Divine Life that Transforms us

October 6, 2014 by aGodMan 1 Comment

Heb. 6:1 Therefore leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us be brought on to maturity...

With Jacob in Genesis we see a long process in which he was dealt with, broken, transformed, and eventually matured. The goal of God is not merely to transform us but to bring us all unto maturity. To be transformed is to be changed in our natural life by the divine life within, and to […]

being a good soldier of Christ Jesus and an athlete contending in the games

February 7, 2012 by aGodMan 6 Comments

In Rev. 18:13 we see that the cargo of the material Babylon is gold and the souls of men. Babylon deals in the souls of men – even today, men sell their soul to their occupation and they neglect God and His eternal destiny. We need to have a job, we need to earn a living, and we need to take care of all the practical aspects of our human life, but we should not sell our soul to Satan! Our soul was created to enjoy God and express God, and we fight for God’s interest on the earth one in soul with all the saints! [continue reading online]

Christ as our replacement is a peg driven into a sure place, a throne of glory, and the One on whom all the vessels hang

October 1, 2010 by aGodMan Leave a Comment

As we saw in the previous portion, Christ as the all-inclusive replacement of everything else in God’s economy with Himself is represented by David – Christ is the real David, since He is the One who builds the house of God and the kingdom of God. As the greater David, Christ has built up the […]
