Practice Fellowship with God in Prayer to Enjoy the Peace of God and have No Anxiety

These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace... John 16:33

As believers in Christ, we need to practice fellowship with God in prayer to enjoy the peace of Christ guard our hearts and live a life free of anxiety and full of forbearance.

The practical way for us to do all things in Christ as the empowering one is fellowship with God in prayer, not being anxious but letting our requests be made known to God, and the peace of God will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

The secret to Christian life is doing all things in Christ as the One who empowers us.

On one hand, we believers in Christ have Christ in us, for we have received Him into our hearts and spirit through regeneration.

On the other hand, we are in Christ, for God put us in Christ.

We are in Christ and Christ is in us; we are in Him and He is in us.

Therefore, we simply need to do all things in Christ.

We have been put in Christ by God – it is of God that we are in Christ Jesus (1 Cor. 1:30).

Now we need to learn to live our daily life with all its activities in Christ.

We simply need to abide in the Lord.

When we exercise our spirit to abide in the Lord, He abides in us.

We have tasted the pure fountain of life, and we are sinking into God.

When we come to the Lord in His word, we not only want to obtain some nourishment and supply but even more, we want to learn the wondrous secret of abiding in the Lord by allowing His word to abide in us.

Our desire is to abide in the Lord and let Him abide in us so that we do all things in Him. Like the apostle Paul, we want to be found in Christ.

We may go to work and do our job at the office, but when others speak to us or observe us, we want to be found in Christ.

He is the One who empowers us, and we want to be found in Him, doing all things not in ourselves or of ourselves, but in Christ.

This means that we need to talk to the Lord about all things.

We need to open to Him concerning all the things in our daily life, our situation, and our condition.

Before we were saved, we were found by others in things other than Christ; after we were saved, we were put in Christ, and now we want to be found in Christ.

Our aspiration is that our whole being would be immersed in Christ and saturated with Christ so that all men who observe us would find us in Christ.

When we are in Christ, when we live in Christ, when others find us in Christ, we spontaneously magnify Christ and express Him.

And this expression of Christ is not merely through a great work for Him; it is through our living, our daily life. We express Christ’s virtues in our daily life.

May we be those who are daily turning to the Lord, conversing with Him, and abiding in Him so that He can abide in us and be expressed through us.

Practice Fellowship with God in Prayer to Enjoy the Peace of God Guarding our Hearts

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

A very practical way for us to do all things in Christ is seen in Phil. 4:6-7.

Here we see that in nothing we should be anxious but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we should let our requests be made known to God.

When we do this, when we are in the fellowship with God and let Him know in prayer and petition with thanksgiving concerning all things, His peace presides in us.

The peace of God, which surpasses every man’s understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus.

This peak, the peace of God, is Christ Himself as our peace; Christ as peace surpasses every man’s understanding (Isa. 9:6; John 14:27; Luke 7:50; Rom. 3:17; 5:1; 8:6; 15:13; 16:20).

Christ is the Prince of Peace, and we can go in peace and take the way of peace.

This God of peace will crush Satan under our feet shortly.

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses every [man's] understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7Christ as peace wants to come in and take care of our hearts; He wants to come and patrol, mount guard, around our heart so that we can be kept in a calm and tranquil environment in which we and Him can have intimate fellowship.

We need to bring our worries and thoughts and anxieties before God; to bring them to God denotes us making a motion toward God.

In our living union and communion with God, we need to be in the fellowship with God.

We not only speak with God; we make a motion toward God, we draw closer to God in prayer, and we open to God concerning the things that upset us, bother us, or puzzle us.

Many times, however, our experience is that we may pray about a certain situation, and instead of feeling more peace, we feel more anxious.

Instead of drawing close to God through prayer, we actually look at the problem and think the problem is becoming bigger.

May we learn to fellowship with God in prayer in a genuine way so that we may enjoy the peace of God.

The result of practicing fellowship with God in prayer is that we enjoy the peace of God.

The peace of God is actually God Himself as peace infused into us through our fellowship with Him through prayer.

This peace of God, God Himself as peace infused into us, is the counterpoise to troubles and the antidote to anxiety (John 16:33).

A counterpoise is a force or a factor that neutralizes the effect of another; it is like an antidote.

When we come to the Lord in prayer and practice fellowship with God in prayer, we open to Him concerning all our situations, and He as peace arbitrates in our hearts, bringing peace to our inner being.

Our Christian life depends entirely on our fellowship with God.

If we truly enter into and live in fellowship with God, many problems will be solved.

The teachings we have received and the truths we have understood from God’s word may be merely outward, and no teaching or doctrine seems to help us in solving our problems.

What we need is to practice fellowship with God in prayer day by day.

Therefore having been justified out of faith, we have peace toward God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom. 5:1 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace. Rom. 8:6 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope in the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom. 15:13The empowering, enlightening, enjoying of rest, rejoicing, believing, overcoming of trials, temptations, and hardships, and comforting for a Christian, all come from and depend on our fellowship with God in prayer.

When we practice fellowship with God in prayer, we are inwardly strengthened, and filled with rest and joy, we overcome trials, and any hardships and temptations are overcome.

The God of peace patrols before our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, keeping us calm and tranquil (Isa. 30:15).

Amen, may we learn to spend time with the Lord in prayer and practice fellowship with God in prayer day by day.

May we learn not to pray our problems before God but just come to Him to fellowship with Him.

When we just practice fellowship with God in prayer, opening to Him to just enjoy Him and absorb Him, the problems will disappear, and the Lord will be our rich and abundant supply.

His peace will guard our hearts in peace, and we will have the peace of God keeping our hearts in peace, keeping us calm and tranquil.

Outwardly, the situation may not change, and our problems may not go away, but inwardly, our inner being is calm and at peace. This is what we need.

This is a very practical way for us to practice doing all things in Christ in our daily life.

Lord Jesus, we want to practice fellowship with God in prayer in our daily life. We love You, Lord Jesus, and we open to You. We make a motion toward You and we come to You as we are. We don’t want to only tell You about our problems: we just want to open to You and enjoy You! Infuse us with Yourself. Keep us in the fellowship with God today. May the peace of God, which surpasses every man’s understanding, guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus! Amen, Lord, we want to practice fellowship with God in prayer so that we may enjoy the peace of God in our daily experience. Hallelujah, the peace of God is actually God as peace infused into us through our fellowship with Him by prayer! Praise the Lord, the peace of God guards our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, and this peace is the antidote to anxiety!

Live a Life Free of Anxiety by Realizing that All Circumstances are Assigned to us by God for us to Gain Christ and Magnify Christ

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to [His] purpose. Because those whom He foreknew, He also predestinated [to be] conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the Firstborn among many brothers; And those whom He predestinated, these He also called; and those whom He called, these He also justified; and those whom He justified, these He also glorified. Rom. 8:28-30If we believers in Christ want to live a life free of anxiety, we need to realize that all our circumstances – whether good or bad – have been assigned to us by God in order for us to gain Christ and magnify Christ.

All circumstances in our daily life, whether pleasant or unpleasant, have been assigned to us by God in order to serve us in fulfilling our destiny to gain Christ, live Christ, and magnify Christ.

Human life is wrapped up with anxiety; whether we want to be anxious or not, anxiety comes to us, for everything around us and all situations make us feel anxious.

Anxiety is like a worm that devours our ability to forbear; if we have no forbearance, it will be easy for us to be upset or lose our temper.

When we worry about our future, our circumstances, our money, or our family, we will not be happy with others, and we may even argue or be angry.

Only when we are happy and contented do we have forbearance, but when we’re sorrowful and discontented, we will be easily irritated and offended.

How should we deal with anxiety, and how can we live a life free of anxiety in our Christian life?

We need to realize that all our circumstances – whether good or not so good – have been assigned to us by God.

We may work at a job and we may get a pay cut or even be fired; this is something that was assigned to us by God.

We may have a business and we may make a lot of money, but then we may lose all the money and have to shut down the business; this is something that is assigned to us by God.

We may have some health problems that keep bothering us and limiting us from what we want to do; on the one hand, we need to take care of our health, but on the other hand, we need to realize that this was assigned to us by God.

We may lose money or lose our health; this is assigned to us by God, and we need to realize that He is in control, for He arranges all things for our good.

Rom. 8:28 clearly says that all things work together for good to those who love God.

We should not worry about tomorrow, our future, our money, our family, or our health; we should simply cast all our anxieties on the Lord and believe that He is in control.

God never promised us a life without suffering; rather, as sufferings and difficulties come, we need to be assured that God assigns all these things to us.

We only need to gain more Christ, enjoy Him more, experience Him more, and magnify Christ. This is our destiny.

Our mind may be quite puzzled, our heart may be quite troubled, and our soul may be full of anxious thoughts; the most difficult part is to quiet our mind and get rid of our anxiety.

May we practice fellowship with God in prayer, bringing all our anxieties and worries before the Lord and just giving them to Him.

We may even tell the Lord that we don’t know how to turn to Him, admitting we have a hard time opening up to Him, but we just want to open.

As we open to the Lord more and more and practice fellowship with the Lor din prayer, we will be assured that all things work together for good.

Yes, our Father does care for us. But sometimes He sends us hardships and sufferings to serve in fulfilling our destiny to magnify Christ. We can be freed from worry, not because God has promised us a life without suffering but because we know that all our circumstances come to us as God’s assignment. Paul did not care about life or death. He cared only that Christ would be magnified in him. He realized that every circumstance was for his good. This is the way to have no anxiety. Why do certain saints worry about losing money? Simply because their desire is to have more money. Why are others anxious about their health? They are anxious because they are afraid to die… If we lose money or even lose our job, we need not be anxious. Such a loss comes from God’s assignment, and we need not be anxious about it. Life-study of Philippians, pp. 530-532, by Witness LeeWe will be calm and tranquil, for the peace of God guards our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, and we know that all things and situations are to serve us in fulfilling our destiny to gain Christ and magnify Him.

We may experience suffering and loss today, but in a few weeks or months, we may have forgotten about this.

Many things happen to human beings, but we as believers in Christ can be assured that all things are assigned to us by God in order to serve us in fulfilling our destiny to magnify Christ.

What a glorious destiny we have!

Paul was one who saw this and lived this.

He didn’t care about life or death: he only cared to live Christ and magnify Christ.

He was not anxious about his imprisonment and slim prospects of being released; he just wanted to gain Christ, live Christ, and express Christ.

May we realize that our Father in heaven cares for us, loves us, and has the best intention in everything He does in us and with us.

May we cast all our cares on Him as we practice fellowship with God in prayer, and may we be assured that all things work together for good, for we love God and are called according to His purpose.

Lord Jesus, cause us to realize that all our circumstances have been assigned to us by God in order to serve us in fulfilling our destiny to gain God and magnify Christ! Amen, Lord, we love You and we trust in You. We cast all our anxieties upon You, for it matters to You concerning us. We believe that Your heart is full of love toward us. We want to live a life of no anxiety and full of forbearance by practicing fellowship with God and being fully assured that all sufferings we experience are God’s assignment to us. Amen, Lord, You know what we need. We trust in You and we are assured that You give us what we need for us to gain Christ, know Christ, and exhibit Christ. We want to focus only on You, not on the problems or sufferings. Amen, Lord, we care only that Christ would be magnified in us!

The first prerequisite to having no anxiety is to have the full assurance that all the sufferings we experience are God’s assignment… He knows what we need. When I was very young, I read a story about a conversation between two sparrows who were talking about the sorrows and the worries common among human beings. One sparrow asked the other why people worry so much. The other sparrow answered, “I don’t think they have a Father who cares for them like we do. We don’t need to worry about anything because our Father takes care of us.” Yes, our Father does care for us.

The way for us to live a life free of anxiety is to practice fellowship with God in prayer both to let our requests be made known to Him and allowing Him to saturate us.

When we fellowship with the Lord, the God of peace guards our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We realize that all things are assigned to us by God to fulfill our destiny to gain Christ and exhibit Christ.

Lord Jesus, keep us in fellowship with You today. Guard our hearts and thoughts in Your peace. We just want to gain Christ and exhibit Christ in all our situations.

Amen brother. We have no real need to be anxious.

Anxiety is against forbearance and leads to anger.

We must see that all our circumstances — good or bad — are assigned to us by God.

Why?

Because they are what we need to magnify Christ. It’s our destiny to magnify Jesus.

Sometimes this requires us to endure hardships and sufferings; sometimes God wants to see how much we will seek Him in a time of comfort & ease.

It’s easier to turn to our spirit when we are suffering.

Either way, we should not care about life or death. We should care only that Jesus would be magnified in us.

Amen Lord, we just want to gain You and remain in You!

We need to be sparrows in the sense of not worrying for anything, for our heavenly Father care of our needs in this life.

All we need to do is care for His Christ, enjoy Christ and rest on Him.

Amen Lord, keep us in the principle of the Sparrows!

If we are sure that He is in us, He Himself is sick whenever we are sick.

In other words, as long as we are in His body, part of His body is suffering whenever we are suffering.

That was the reason why Paul was full of enjoyment while he was in prison.

Therefore, in any bad or good circumstances, lets be sure that our fellowship with our God is strong with prayer all the time.

Any difficulties might come to us by the will of God just to equip and perfect us for His Kingdom.

Praise the Lord for His eternal plan to do in and with us.

Dear brother, to experience Christ as the empowering one we must live in union and communion with Him, having fellowship with God, as the God of Peace.

This can only be realised as we pray and petition Him concerning our requests, even as we acknowledge that He has arranged our circumstances – whether good or bad that we may gain Him, live Him and even magnify Him.

Thank You Lord – in the world we have affliction but in You – as the one who overcame the world – we have peace! Praise the Lord!
