The Man-child Fulfils God’s Purpose and Defeats His Enemy to bring in His Kingdom

And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul-life even unto death. Rev. 12:11

According to the Bible, the man-child fulfils God’s purpose and defeats His enemy to bring in the kingdom of God on earth.

The man-child is composed of the overcomers who stand on behalf of the church, take the position of the church, and do the work of the church to fight the enemy and overcome him; they hasten the Lord’s return and bring in the kingdom of God.

What the Lord is after today is the overcomers, those who see what His need is and give themselves to Him to meet His need.

In Rev. 12 we see the sign of the universal great bright woman who is in travail, seeking to give birth to a man-child.

This great woman is clothed with the sun and the moon and the stars, and she represents the entirety of God’s people from beginning to end.

The people of God are the weaker vessel, trusting in God, keeping themselves for God, and loving God.

However, there’s something stronger within this woman, the man-child, who is about to be delivered.

This stronger part of the woman is the seed of the woman prophesied in Gen. 3:15.

The seed of the woman was first Christ, the first Overcomer, and this seed includes all the overcomers together with Christ as the reproduction and duplication of Christ.

All believers in Christ are part of the great woman in Rev. 12, but only some of the believers are part of the man-child, the stronger part of the woman.

Today we are at the end of this age, and the Lord is seeking to gain the man-child; the whole people of God are travailing in birth pains to bring forth the overcomers.

The man-child fulfils God’s purpose and defeats His enemy.

These overcomers arrive at the high peak of the divine revelation, they live the life of a God-man both personally and corporately, and they enter into the wonderful shepherding ministry of Christ in His heavenly ministry.

Today we live in the most privileged time, for today we can do the most for God; if we see His need and give ourselves to the Lord to meet His need, He will have a way to make us His overcomers.

In ourselves we are weak, so we depend on God, we trust in Him, and we have all our strength in Him.

As we depend on the Lord and open to Him, He infuses Himself with all that He is into our inner being.

The unique Overcomer lives in us, and He is making us His overcomers through our constant turning and opening to Him.

May we learn to turn again and again, in spite of our failures and defeats, and may we ask the Lord to make us His overcomers today.

He desires to gain the overcomers, and He wants to make us part of the man-child. In particular, what the man-child does is execute the judgment on Satan.

Through the Lord’s death on the cross, Satan – the old serpent – was judged and cast out (John 12:31; 16:11).

This judgment and sentence will ultimately be carried out and executed by the overcomers as the man-child.

The man-child as the corporate seed of the woman will execute the judgment on Satan.

The war waged by the overcoming believers against Satan is actually the execution of the Lord’s judgment upon him for him to eventually be cast out of heaven (Rev. 12:7-9).

Christ has passed the judgment, and now we need to carry out this judgment by being one with the Lord to be the man-child.

In Him, in Christ, the enemy had nothing – no way, no opportunity, and no ground; now He lives in us, and when we live one with Him, in us the enemy has nothing.

May we be preserved in our spirit today so that the enemy would be defeated!

The Man-child Fulfils God’s Purpose and Defeats His Enemy to bring in His Kingdom

Now is the judgment of this world; now shall the ruler of this world be cast out. John 12:31 And concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. John 16:11 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels went to war with the dragon. And the dragon warred and his angels. And they did not prevail, neither was their place found any longer in heaven. And the great dragon was cast down, the ancient serpent, he who is called the Devil and Satan, he who deceives the whole inhabited earth; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. Rev. 12:7-9The man-child is part of the church, consisting of the overcomers who stand on behalf of the church, taking the position that the whole church should take, and they do the work for the church (Rev. 2:7b, 11b, 17b, 26-28; 3:5, 12, 21; 12:5, 11).

If we read Rev. 2-3 we see that the Lord is speaking to the churches, and in each church, He is calling for the overcomers.

He loves the church, but He realized that the church as a whole has failed God, for the church did not fulfil God’s purpose for God.

So He is calling the overcomers, those who stand on behalf of the church, take the position that the whole church should take, and do the work for the church.

All of God’s people have a part in the fulfilment of His purpose; however, not all of God’s people assume their rightful responsibility.

The purpose of God should be fulfilled by the church, but not all the believers in Christ as members of the church carry out God’s purpose.

So God chooses a group of people – the man-child brought forth by the great woman in Rev. 12.

The principle has been the same from the beginning to the end of the Bible.

God has a purpose, He calls a man and his descendants, but not all cooperate with Him, so He is calling for those who are willing to cooperate.

The man-child is a portion of the church, a part of the many chosen by God.

God’s goal needs to be accomplished; we need to give ourselves to the Lord for the fulfilment of His purpose.

He has brought us back the local ground, the genuine ground of oneness, but we still need to go on and be the overcomers He needs today, those who build up the church as the house of God and the kingdom of God.

We need to enter into the reality of the Body of Christ on the unique ground of the church, so that we may be prepared as the bride of Christ to bring Him back.

In the Bible, the stronger ones among God’s people are considered a collective unit fighting the battle for God and bringing the kingdom of God down to earth (Rev. 12:5, 10-11).

God will use the man-child to fulfil His economy and to accomplish His purpose (1 Tim. 1:4; 2 Tim. 1:9; Eph. 1:9, 11; 3:11).

The man-child fulfils God’s purpose, and the man-child defeats God’s enemy.

He wants the whole church to fulfil His purpose, but the church as a whole has failed Him; therefore, He will use the man-child to fulfil His economy.

To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna... Rev. 2:17 And he who overcomes and he who keeps My works until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations. Rev. 2:26 He who overcomes will be clothed thus, in white garments, and I shall by no means erase his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. Rev. 3:5 He who overcomes, him I will make a pillar in the temple of My God... Rev. 3:12God needs the man-child to defeat His enemy and to bring in His kingdom so that His eternal purpose may be accomplished (Rev. 12:10).

The Lord’s recovery is the practicality of God’s economy today, and His economy can be carried out only by the man-child.

Today we need to be not only believers in Christ who enjoy the Lord in the church life on the ground of oneness with all the saints but even more, the overcomers who are part of the man-child to bring the Lord back.

We need to aspire and pray to be part of the man-child, the stronger part of the people of God, who cooperate with God to defeat His enemy and bring in His kingdom so that His eternal purpose may be accomplished.

We may think we are not equipped and perfected enough, and we may think we’re strong enough nor is our level of life high enough, and we may be quite right.

But it is not in and of ourselves that we overcome; it is by coming to the Lord and depending on Him and what he can do in us that we can overcome.

May we bring this to the Lord and open to Him throughout the day so that little by little, day by day, He would produce us as the man-child, the overcomers He needs in this age.

Lord Jesus, we love You and we give ourselves to You for Your purpose. We want to stand one with You and one with the church to do the work of the church for the fulfilment of Your purpose. Oh Lord, grant us an ear to hear the Spirit’s calling and speaking for the overcomers in the churches. Make us the overcomers You need today, the components of the man-child who will end this age. May we receive Your mercy and grace to assume our rightful responsibility and fulfil Your purpose. Lord, You need the man-child to defeat Your enemy and to bring in Your kingdom so that Your eternal purpose may be accomplished. We say Amen to this, Lord! Make us part of the man-child who fulfils Your economy and fulfils Your purpose!

The Man-child is Saturated with Christ and Overcomes the Enemy for God

And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Rev. 12:10

When the man-child is brought forth and then raptured to the throne of God in Rev. 12, many events precipitate in the heavens.

There is war in the heavens, and the man-child defeats the great dragon and casts him out of heaven.

Wow, the man-child fulfils God’s purpose for God and defeats the enemy of God to bring in His kingdom on the earth!

The old serpent, Satan, the enemy of God, has been fighting against God’s people for many thousands of years.

And she brought forth a son, a man-child, who is to shepherd all the nations with an iron rod; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. Rev. 12:5 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they loved not their soul-life even unto death. Rev. 12:10-11He has been steadily increasing and enlarging to become the great dragon, and he is still in the heavens, fighting against God and the angelic forces.

However, when the man-child is raptured, being caught up to the heavens, there’s no more space in heaven for the great dragon, and he is cast out.

The rapture of the man-child is something that causes Satan to be cast out of heaven.

Satan is right now in heaven accusing us before our God day and night; this is his full-time job.

But once the overcomers are produced and raptured, the enemy will be cast out of heaven, and soon the kingdom of God will come in.

May we be the overcomers who stand in the position of the church and do the work of the church on behalf of the church, so that the enemy would be defeated and cast down, and the kingdom of God would come in.

The result of the casting down of Satan from the heavens is that there’s a great cry, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ (Rev. 12:10).

As soon as the man-child is caught up, Satan is cast down and the kingdom comes.

On one hand, the man-child fulfils God’s purpose – this is on the positive side; on the other hand, the man-child defeats God’s enemy – this is on the negative side.

We want to be the Lord’s overcomers not only for ourselves to overcome the enemy and all his power but even more, for God to fulfil His purpose.

Those who constitute the man-child overcome the devil, who is the accuser and slanderer.

They overcome the enemy because of the blood of the Lam and because of the word of their testimony, and they love not their soul-life even unto death (vv. 10-11). Hallelujah!

Today we need to be such ones.

We need to take the blood of Christ, stand on the power of the blood, and even proclaim this power over the enemy.

After dealing with our sins and failures, we may have a pure conscience, and the enemy may still attack us, thus causing our conscience to be weak.

We need to stand one with the Lord and proclaim the power of the blood of Christ. By the blood of Christ, the Victor, we overcome the enemy.

And we overcome him because of the word of our testimony, by declaring the divine facts which are our reality in our experience by faith in Christ.

And as it regards to our soul-life, we don’t love our soul-life even unto death, for we love the Lord more than our soul-life. Amen!

The entire being of the man-child is saturated and permeated with the element of Christ.

The man-child is actually Christ reproduced and living again in many human beings.

We as those who aspire to be the overcomers, part of the man-child, need to be daily strengthened into the inner man so that Christ may build Himself into our hearts (Eph. 3:16-18).

We need to be daily nourished with the unsearchable riches of Christ and put on the whole armour of God (v. 8; 6:10-11).

May we pray this daily, that the Father would strengthen us into our inner man by His Spirit and His power so that Christ may make His home in our hearts through faith.

And may we eat Christ daily, being nourished with the riches of Christ until we become His fullness.

The rapture of the man-child is not just a matter of some individuals being caught up, but more than that, it is to bring to an end the warfare which has been going on for ages and generations. The old serpent, the enemy of God, has been fighting against God for several thousand years. When this warfare takes place in heaven, Michael and his angels fight against the dragon, who is the old serpent...The rapture of the man-child is a transaction which causes Satan to have no more position in heaven. When the overcomers stand in the church's position and do the work which the church should have done, the result will be: “Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ” [Rev. 12:10]. The man-child in Revelation 12 consists of the overcomers who stand on behalf of the church. Therefore, as soon as the man-child is caught up, Satan is cast down from heaven and the kingdom comes. Collected Works of Watchman Nee, vol. 34, “The Glorious Church,” p. 81We need to exercise our spirit, which results in godliness, the manifestation of God in the flesh.

As we exercise our spirit, enjoy the riches of Christ, and allow Christ to make His home in our hearts, Christ lives in us, we become the manifestation of God in the flesh, and Christ is magnified in us.

May we practice this. May we daily take Christ as our life and everything, and may we even put on the weapons of light (Rom. 13:14).

Light can be our weapon. To put on the Lord Jesus means that we live by Christ and we live out Christ to magnify Christ, and this magnification of Christ becomes our weapons of light, the armour of God. Hallelujah!

Once the man-child is brought forth and raptured, the purpose of God can no longer be hindered.

This is because the man-child fulfils God’s purpose and defeats Satan, the enemy of God, to bring in the kingdom of God.

Once the man-child is caught up to God, His kingdom will come and the enemy will be defeated.

Lord Jesus, saturate us and permeate us with Yourself. Strengthen us, Father, into the inner man by Your Spirit according to the riches of Your glory so that Christ may make His home in our heart through faith! Amen, Lord, build Yourself into us and make Your home in our heart through faith. Keep us enjoying You and being nourished with the unsearchable riches of Christ. May Your riches fill our being and saturate us. We want to put on Christ as the whole armour of God, and we want to live Christ and magnify Him to express Him! Amen, Lord, make us Your overcomers, part of the man-child, to bring You back! Hallelujah, we can overcome the enemy because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of our testimony and by not loving our soul-life even unto death! Amen, Lord, make us Your overcomers today!

Where the man-child is, there is no ground for the enemy. Satan has been judged on the cross of Christ, but this judgment needs to be executed. The church should carry out this judgment, but it has failed, so the overcomers must rise up to take the position of the church to execute God’s sentence on Satan…

After the overcomers are raptured and caught up to God’s throne, there will be no more place there for the enemy. A seeking believer may deal with his conscience until it becomes a pure conscience. However, when the conscience becomes pure, it is easy for it to be weak…

When [it] is weak, the enemy always accuses us, causing us to constantly feel that we are not right…[So] we have to stand against the enemy by the covering of the blood…[and] not only claim but proclaim the power of the redeeming blood.

The blood of the Lamb, which is for our redemption, answers before God all the accusations of the devil against us and gives us the victory over him. We need to apply this blood whenever we sense the accusation of the devil. Rev. 12:11, footnote 2 on, “blood”, RcV Bible

The word of their testimony is their word that testifies that the devil has been judged by the Lord. Whenever we sense the devil’s accusation, we should verbally testify how the Lord has already dealt with him. We must declare with the uttered word the Lord’s victory over him. Rev. 12:11, footnote 3 on, “word”, RcV Bible

Because of Adam’s fall, Satan joined himself to man’s soul-life — man’s self (Matt. 16:23-24). Hence, to overcome Satan we must not love our soul-life; rather, we must hate it and deny it (Luke 14:26; 9:23). Rev. 12:11, footnote 4 on, “loved”, RcV Bible

I was enlightened to see as a continuation of last week that we do need a good conscience and a pure conscience, however when the conscience becomes pure it is easy for it to become weak.

When it is weak the enemy always accuses us, causing us to constantly feel that we are not right.

So we need to stand against the enemy by the covering of the blood, claim and proclaim the power of the redeeming blood.

They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb!

As chosen ones we have to assume our rightful responsibility and take the position the whole church should take and do the work for the church, the only group who do the work for the church is the overcomers.

Lord make us such ones, Your overcomers who stand in the church’s position and do the work for the church! Amen!

Amen brother. Like Israel, the church has failed God — but there are still some who are willing to volunteer to stand against the dragon by the covering of Christ’s blood.

Today, God needs those who are properly aggressive, bold and strong in character.

Only through such ones can the enemy be defeated and God’s goal can be attained.

Let us proclaim the power of the redeeming blood and speak the testimony of Christ in order to complete the building of God’s house and usher in the kingdom…

God has judged Satan but He needs the manchild, the stronger part of the woman – the church – the overcomers, to carry out the sentence upon the enemy.

This can only be carried out by those who overcome by the blood, the word of their testimony and who do not love their soul life.

Such ones are those who are saturated and permeated with Christ, who are ready to be raptured to the throne of God so that Satan may be cast down from heaven.

O Lord, do strengthen us with power into our inner man that Christ may may make His home in our hearts to be to be today’s overcomers who are rapture-ready for the fulfilment of Your economy!

Amen. O Lord make us overcomers!

Yes, the rapture of the overcomers is not to escape from the great tribulation, but for the fulfillment of God’s eternal economy.

God needs someone to move from one dispensational age to the next age.

God, therefore, needs the right position of manchild or the overcomers to deal with the enemy so that the age of the church can be replaced by the next millennium.

O Lord! let your will be done. Amen.

The rapture of the man-child is not just a matter of some individuals being caught up, but more than that, it is to bring to an end the warfare which has been going on for ages and generations.

The old serpent, the enemy of God, has been fighting against God for several thousand years. When this warfare takes place in heaven, Michael and his angels fight against the dragon, who is the old serpent.

Formerly he was a serpent, but now he has changed in form to a dragon. He has steadily increased his power.

However, once the man-child is caught up, not only is the dragon unable to be enlarged any further, but he is cast down from heaven.

The rapture of the man-child is a transaction which causes Satan to have no more position in heaven.

When the overcomers stand in the church’s position and do the work which the church should have done, the result will be: “Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ” [Rev. 12:10].

The man-child in Revelation 12 consists of the overcomers who stand on behalf of the church. Therefore, as soon as the man-child is caught up, Satan is cast down from heaven and the kingdom comes.
