We’re made Full in Christ as we Realise what we Have in Him and Enjoy His Riches

And you have been made full in Him, who is the Head of all rule and authority. Col. 2:10

We believers in Christ have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and in Him we are made full; we have been made one with Him, we’re joined to Him and rooted in Him, and we inherit all that He is – He’s the fullness of God and He makes us the fullness of Christ.

Hallelujah for our rich, all-inclusive Christ, the One in whom we’re rooted and the One to whom we’re joined in spirit!

Amen, Lord, keep us enjoying You today! May nothing distract us from the enjoyment of this wonderful Christ! Amen!

This week we have been prayerfully considering the matter of the mystery of God – Christ.

There are many mysteries in the Bible; these mysteries are not just the things that are hidden and unknown but even more, the things which are hidden in the heart of God.

God did certain things and He’s doing something, and there are five great mysteries revealed in the Bible.

First, the mystery of the universe is God, for God is the meaning and purpose of the universe. Second, the mystery of man is also God; without God, man has no meaning or purpose. Third, the mystery of God is Christ; Christ is the mystery of the mystery, for He explains, defines, expresses, and manifests God.

Fourth, the mystery of Christ is the church; we can see Christ expressed in His fullness by coming to the church.

Fifth, the mystery of the church is the organism of Christ, the Body of Christ as the enlargement of Christ. God is mysterious; He created all things, but He is not easily seen or understood.

He is mysterious, and He has a mystery hidden in His heart; the Bible calls this the economy of His mystery. God is expressed in Christ, Christ is expressed through the church, and Christ and the church is a great mystery. Hallelujah!

The mystery of God is the all-inclusive Christ. To see God, we need to look at Christ, for Christ is the embodiment of God, the expression of God.

Christ is the stories of God. In Christ as the mystery of God, all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden.

We can see these treasures and enjoy them hidden in Christ by exercising our spirit, for Christ is revealed to us in spirit.

As the mystery of God, Christ is the embodiment of the fullness of the Godhead; in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

Not only God’s riches but the expression and overflow of His riches dwells in Christ bodily. And when we believers in Christ enjoy Christ as the mystery of God, we are made full in Christ, in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily. Hallelujah!

All Fullness Dwells in Christ, we have been Put into Christ, so we have been made Full in Christ, Filled with the Divine Riches!

For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you have been made full in Him, who is the Head of all rule and authority. Col. 2:9-10

When some Christians read Colossians 2 and consider the matter of Christ as the mystery of God, they may wonder what this has to do with them, even with their daily life and living, their experience, and their day-to-day activities.

In a sense, we need to apply Christ to everything in our daily life; in another sense, we need to simply enjoy Christ and let Him be lived out in us.

Colossians 2:9-10 tells us that all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Christ bodily, and we are made full in Him. Hallelujah!

The Greek word translated “full” implies completion and perfection. In other words, in Christ we are made complete and perfect.

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal. 3:27 So then if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, they have become new. 2 Cor. 5:17Because all the fullness dwells in Christ and because we have been put into Him, we have been made full, filled with the divine riches (1 Cor. 1:30; Eph. 3:8).

The Bible tells us that we have been put into Christ and we’re rooted in Him; because in Him all the fullness dwells bodily, we are made full in Him.

All those who believe into Christ have been put into Christ; Galatians 3:27 tells us that through baptism we have put on Christ.

On one hand, we have been put into Christ through baptism into His death; on the other hand, we have put on Christ through baptism, and now we are one with Him.

Therefore, we are identified with Christ and we are one with Christ (2 Cor. 5:17). The One into whom we are baptised and put into is the One in whom all the fullness of the Godhead was pleased to dwell. Hallelujah!

This is our reality today; we are not merely in ourselves, in the locality we live and work in, or in our own home; we are in Christ, for He is in us and we are in Him.

We need to realise that, as believers in Christ, we have been put into the all-inclusive, extensive Christ; we are identified with Him, we are joined to Him as our Husband, and we are now one with Him (Col. 1:28; Rom. 7:2-4; 1 Cor. 6:17).

We are intimately joined to the Lord, for He as the Spirit came into our spirit to be joined to us as one spirit; we are now one spirit with the Lord.

This is our reality in the spiritual realm. However, just as it happened in the days of Paul and in the church in Colossae, there may be many replacements of Christ in our being, and in practicality, we may be joined to other things instead of Christ. Oh Lord!

We may be joined to a philosophy or way of living, we may be joined to a religious way of doing things, or we may be joined to our culture.

These may not be sinful or evil, but they are replacements of Christ. We need to be converted back to Christ.

We need to be converted from philosophies of living and our standards to Christ.

We may be married and have children, and we may accumulate many ways of caring for our children, bringing them up, and things to do with them; these may be a replacement for Christ.

We may have accumulated many things from our upbringing, our culture, and our background, and we may live out these things instead of depending on the Lord.

When we evaluate how to care for our children, when we consider what school to send them to, where to live, and what to do to bring them up in the best way, we need to be converted to Christ.

But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became wisdom to us from God: both righteousness and sanctification and redemption. 1 Cor. 1:30 To me, less than the least of all saints, was this grace given to announce to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ as the gospel. Eph. 3:8We need to continue to enjoy Christ as our portion of God’s fullness, for we are joined to Him, even rooted into Him.

We need wisdom; wisdom is in our spirit, and wisdom is Christ being our wisdom by our enjoying Him and absorbing His riches.

We should not try to figure out things on our own nor should we look to things around us or in our background to solve problems or carry out things.

Rather, we should be converted to Christ and just partake of His riches, for we are made full in Him.

Because we are one with Christ, we partake of all that He has accomplished, attained, and obtained; we inherit all that He has experienced and passed through, receiving all that He is and has.

We are rooted in Him. We are one with Him. We inherit all He has.

We simply need to enjoy Him and absorb His riches. As we do this, we are made full in Him.

All that Christ has passed through is now our history, and all that He has obtained and attained is our inheritance.

As we enjoy Him day by day, as we absorb what He is and let Him work Himself into us, we are made full in Him. Actually, we have been made full in Him; we simply need to remain in Him, abide in Him, and enjoy Him.

Praise the Lord, we believers in Christ are made full in Christ, the one in whom all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily! Amen, Lord, may we realise that we are made full in You, for we’re perfected and completed into You. May we see that all the fullness dwells in Christ and we have been put into Him, so we are made full in Him! Hallelujah, in Christ all the fullness of the Godhead is pleased to dwell, and we’re joined to Him as one spirit! Amen, Lord, may we continually absorb Your riches today. May we enjoy all that You are until we are filled with Your riches! May Your riches saturate and permeate us until we overflow with Your riches! Hallelujah, we believers in Christ have been put into Christ! Praise the Lord, we are identified with Christ and we’re one with Him! Amen, Lord, may we see that we have been put into the all-inclusive, extensive Christ to be identified with Him, and now we’re one with Him! Praise the Lord, because we’re one with Christ, we can partake of all that He has accomplished, obtained, and attained!

Having a Full Realisation of what we have in Christ and Exercising our Faith to Partake of All that is Ours in Christ to be made Full in Him!

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17

If we only see what we have and what we are in Christ, we will truly be converted to Christ and live in the organic union with Him to express Him and become the mystery of Christ, the church.

The enemy, however, is the god of this age, and he works to blind our thoughts so that we may not see the illumination of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, in the face of Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 4:4).

God is shining His glory, and He shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ (v. 6), but we need to have a full realisation of what we have and what we are in Christ.

When we see and realise what we have in Christ, we will exercise our faith to partake of all that is ours in Christ and we will be made full in Him! Amen!

Lord, cause us to see what we have in Christ! May we see the fullness of the Gohdead dwelling in Christ bodily, and may we partake of the riches of Christ in spirit! Oh Lord, unveil us to see the illumination of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ! May we behold You and reflect You today! Amen!

If therefore you were raised together with Christ, seek the things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Col. 3:1 That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love. Eph. 3:17Oh, if we just see and realise what we have in Christ, we will exercise our spirit of faith to partake of and enjoy all the riches of Christ, and we will be made full in Christ.

We have received Christ, He is in us, and we have been placed into Christ for us to be one with Him. In this organic union with the Lord, likened by the Lord Jesus to that of branches with the vine (John 15:5), we receive all that He is and has.

Brothers and sisters, it is NOT enough to merely understand this with our mind and nod our head in agreement; we need to exercise faith in order to partake of all that is ours in Christ.

Faith is in our spirit, but doubts are in our mind; when we exercise our spirit of faith, we will partake of what we have in Christ, and we will be made full in Him!

Too many times we may think we’re so poor and we don’t have this or that, and we may even complain to the Lord, telling Him how poor and pitiful we are.

It is true that, if we look at our condition and actual situation, we seem not to be enjoying the Lord that much, and His riches may not be saturating us to be expressed through us.

But our condition and our situation is a lie. They are not the truth. The word of God is the truth.

We believe not in our situation nor do we trust our feelings; we believe in the word of God, we pray the word of God, and we allow the Lord to bring our condition to the standard of His word. We are believers, not doubters or realists; we are believers in Christ.

We believe with full assurance that we are one with the rich, all-inclusive Christ, with the One who is the embodiment of all the fullness of the Triune God!

We are so intimately joined to Him that we partake of all that He is, and He takes all our problems, defects, and weaknesses and bears them all away! Hallelujah!

May we not believe our feelings about ourselves and may we not trust our mind which doubts that we’re doing that well; may we look away to Christ (Heb. 12:2).

Oh, may we look away unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith! May we exercise our faith to realise what Christ is, what He has passed through, what He has obtained and attained, and where He is today!

He’s both in the third heaven and in our spirit, and we are one with Him, so we are also in the third heaven!

We are in Christ and Christ is in us (Col. 1:26-27; Gal. 3:27); we have been placed into the Christ who is unsearchably rich! Amen!

No matter what our age is, even if we’re a teenager and a believer in Christ, we can partake of the riches of His life.

When the Lord Jesus was a twelve-year-old boy, He submitted not only to His heavenly Father but also to His earthly human parents; His life of submission is in us, for we’re joined to Him and one with Him. Hallelujah!

Looking away unto Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down on the right hand of the throne of God. Heb. 12:2If we see what we have in Christ and exercise our faith to partake of His riches, all that He is and all that He has belongs to us, and all that He has experienced becomes our history (Col. 2:11-13; 3:1).

This should be our daily experience. We do not look at ourselves. We don’t look at what we can do. We are one with Him!

We have the full realisation of what we have in Christ and we exercise our faith to partake of what is ours in Christ.

Therefore, we are made full in Him! Because this fullness is all-inclusive, it accomplishes everything for us, it fully satisfies and supplies us, and it makes us full, perfect, and complete (Col. 2:9). It’s not us who does this; it is the fullness to whom we’re joined organically.

We have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and in Him we are made full. We have been rooted into Him.

We are joined to Him in spirit. In Him we’re rich, we are full, and we are short of nothing. We lack nothing in Him (Phil. 1:19).

The One in whom we’re rooted as the soil is the history and mystery of God with all the riches of God’s person and processes.

May we enjoy what is ours in Christ. May we absorb what He is into us so that we may have no lack but be made full in Him! Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, may we have the full realisation of what we have in Christ. Hallelujah, we have been rooted in Christ as the rich soil, and in this One all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit of faith to partake of all that is ours in Christ! Open our minds, Lord, to understand and apprehend what we have in Christ. Enlighten the eyes of our heart to have the full realisation of Christ as the mystery of God! Hallelujah, because the fullness is all-inclusive, it accomplishes everything in us and for us! Hallelujah, the fullness fully satisfies and supplies us and it makes us full, perfect, and complete! Praise the Lord, we are made full in Christ! Oh Lord, thank You that we are rich, complete, and full in Christ. Because we’re in You, we are short of nothing. Keep us enjoying Your riches today. Keep us absorbing all that You are so that we may be made full in You! Hallelujah, we have the all-inclusive, inexhaustible fullness that dwells in Christ bodily, and in Him we are made full! Praise the Lord!

We should not believe our feelings about ourselves but look away to Christ (Heb. 12:2). We need to exercise our faith to realize what He is, what He has passed through, what He has obtained and attained, and where He is today. Since He is in the third heaven and we are one with Him, we also are in the third heaven. We have been placed into the Christ who is unsearchably rich. In Him is the fullness, the perfection, the completion. Actually, He Himself is the fullness, perfection, and completion. Because we are in Him, we also are complete and perfect. We are those who possess the riches of Christ. In Ephesians 3:8 Paul speaks of the unsearchable riches of Christ…We simply have no idea what vast riches we possess in Christ. Often we have prayed: “Lord, I am poor and pitiful.” But we need to pray in this way: “Lord, I thank You that I am rich, complete, and full. Lord Jesus, because I am in You, I am short of nothing.” We should tell the Lord, the angels, and even the demons that we are richer than any earthly billionaire because we are in the Christ whose riches are unsearchable.

Here is a song “Made Full in Christ” based on the last prayer,

(to the tune of “Amazing Grace”)

Verse 1
Lord Jesus, may we truly see
What we possess in You;
Hallelujah, we’ve been rooted deep,
In Christ, the rich and true.

Verse 2
In Him the fullness dwells complete,
The Godhead all divine;
We’re made full, Lord, in all of Thee,
Your riches now are mine.

Verse 3
O praise the Lord, we’re full in Christ,
Our hearts rejoice and sing;
We’re rich, complete, and lacking naught,
In Him—our Lord and King!

Dear brother, because all the fullness dwells in Christ and because we have been put into Him, we have been made full, filled with the divine riches.

We are now one with Him, for we’re rooted in Him, we are joined to Him, and we partake of all that He has accomplished, obtained, and attained.

May today be a day of enjoying Christ by not looking at our condition but looking to Him, enjoying Him, and partaking of His fullness!

Amen, Lord, keep us enjoying You today! May we see that all You have, all You have done, and all You passed through is now our portion for our enjoyment! Hallelujah, we have been made full in Christ!

Father, how we need to have a full realization of what we have in Christ and to exercise faith to partake of all that is ours in Christ. Open our eyes to see that we are one with Christ that we partake of all that He has accomplished, obtained, and attained receiving all that He is and has.

The Greek word implies completion, perfection. Because all the fullness dwells in Him, after we have been put into Christ (1 Cor. 1:30), we are made full, filled up, with all the divine riches. Hence, we need no other source. Because Christ is our perfection and completion, we do not need other rules and authorities as objects of adoration, for He is the Head of all these. This is versus angel worship (v. 18).

Col. 2:10 footnote 1 on, full in Him, Holy Bible, Recovery Version.
