Live in the Organic Union with the Lord to be the Church in the Triune God in Reality

But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17

As believers in Christ, we have a personal and intimate life relationship with God, for we are begotten of God to be sons of God, and together we are the church in the Triune God, living in the organic union with the Lord in all things for Him to be expressed through us. Hallelujah, we are joined to the Lord as one spirit!

Amen, Lord, we want to live in our mingled spirit today! Save us from merely living in our natural man to be an old creation; may we exercise our spirit to live in the mingled spirit to be a new creation in resurrection! Amen!

The entire Bible was written according to the principle of God’s economy, in which God wants to work Himself into man to be man’s life and everything.

God doesn’t just want to do a work among men and gain some people to be on His side, or to do things that He wants them to do.

God has a heart’s desire, an intention, and He made an economy to carry out what is in His heart. In the Old Testament, those who loved God and sought Him could not understand or see what was on God’s heart.

They sought after God, read His word, treasured His word, and prayed; they had an intimate relationship with God and knew God to a certain extent, but the desire of God’s heart was not revealed to them.

However, to us in the New Testament, this heart’s desire of God was revealed, and now we can see that God wants to dispense Himself into His people to be their life and their everything so that they would become His corporate expression.

The Bible ends with the New Jerusalem, the corporate expression of God in man and through man; in the New Jerusalem, we see both God and man united, mingled, and incorporated as one.

If we realise that the revelation of the Triune God in the Bible is mainly for His divine dispensing, we will simply open to the Lord as we read His word so that we may remain under the divine dispensing and enjoy all that God is.

May we learn to open to the Lord. May we learn to exercise our spirit and turn our heart to the Lord so that He may work Himself into us, even to fill us with what He is so that we may be fully one with Him for His corporate expression.

In our prayerful consideration of Paul’s word in 1 Thessalonians 1:1 regarding the church being in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ, we need to see that we have been regenerated by God to have a life relationship with Him, and as we remain in the organic union with Him, we are in reality the church in the Triune God! Hallelujah!

We can be the Church in the Triune God because we are Born of God the Father to be His Children and are Joined to the Lord Jesus Christ

Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace. 1 Thes. 1:1

In 1 Thessalonians 1:1 Paul did not say, To the church of the Thessalonians in God; rather, he said, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ.

This epistle was written by Paul to the saints in Thessalonica, a local church; this church was composed of the believers in that city, but at the same time, the church was in the Triune God.

The mention of the Father and the Son involves and implies the Spirit; the church in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ implies that the church is in the Triune God.

Locally, the church is in a particular locality; in God’s eyes, however, the church is in the Triune God.

The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God. Rom. 8:16This is because the church was born of God the Father and is organically united with the Lord Jesus Christ.

The local church is born of God the Father with His life and nature; also, the local church is united with the Lord Jesus organically in all that He is and has done.

How can we say this? It is because, as we see in John 1:12-13, every one who received the Lord Jesus, that is, everyone who believes into Him, has received authority to be a child of God.

As many as received Christ, to them God gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Hallelujah, we believers in Christ are not only God’s creation, that is, we are not only men created by God in His image and according to His likeness, but we are also born of God!

This is why, as the church, we are not merely in God or of God; we are in the Triune God. The church is composed of human beings, but the church is in the Triune God.

All the genuine believers in Christ are regenerated human beings, those who are born again by faith in Jesus Christ.

Through faith in Christ, we become children of God. Wow, we human beings are sons of God!

Amazing, we are children of God not only positionally but dispositionally, for the life and nature of God is in us to make us sons of God in full!

Our relationship with God today is not only that of creatures with a Creator; our relationship is organic, in life, for we are born of God the Father and organically joined to Christ in all that He is and has done.

We need to see what we are and who we are in God’s eyes and according to His word. We are not merely human beings created in the image of God to bear His likeness.

Much more, we are sons of God, reborn with God’s life to be children of God, and the Spirit witnesses with our spirit that we are children of God (Rom. 8:16). Praise the Lord!

As God’s creatures, before our regeneration, we did not have the life of God; we only had a created, human life, which is fallen.

But when we were regenerated, praise the Lord, we began a life relationship with God. Through our rebirth, we were brought into an organic union with the Triune God.

God in Christ as the Spirit came into our spirit to regenerate us and be joined to us organically. He didn’t come into us to visit only; He came to stay, even to mingle Himself with us.

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the authority to become children of God, to those who believe into His name, Who were begotten not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. John 1:12-13Through regeneration, we are children of God, begotten of God with His life and nature, and together we are part of the church in the Triune God!

The church is composed of sons of God, and the church is in the Triune God.

Thank the Lord that, one day, He moved in us and touched us, and we repented, believed in the Son of God, and received Him as our Saviour and life!

When we opened, by the Lord’s mercy, and received Christ into us, we were reborn to become sons of God, and we began a lifelong relationship with the Lord, a relationship that is organic, in the mingling of God and man in our spirit.

Together, we are components of the church, the Body of Christ. We are not just individual Christians who do their best to live the Christian life, for one day the Lord will come and judge us; rather, we are members of the Body of Christ.

Individually, we are sons of God, and corporately, we are the church in the Triune God. Individually, we are Christians who live a God-man life, and corporately, we are members of Christ, even the church in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ. How glorious!

If we see who we are and what we are according to God’s view revealed in God’s word, our daily living will be uplifted and revolutionised, and the Lord will have a way to carry out His economy in us and through us in an organic way, by our remaining in the organic union with Him.

Lord Jesus, thank You for bringing us into an organic union with You by our faith in Christ! Hallelujah, we were human beings created in God’s image and according to His likeness, but through faith in Christ we became children of God! Wow, Lord, what an amazing fact it is that we who were sinners became sons of God through repentance and faith in Christ! Praise the Lord, God gave us the authority to become children of God, those who are born not of the flesh or of the will of man but of God! Amen, Lord, may we see that we have been brought into this life relationship with God and we are no longer merely God’s creatures but God’s sons! May we realise that we are sons of God, born of God with His life and nature, and together we are the church in the Triune God! Hallelujah, we are the church in the Triune God! Praise the Lord, we are the church in God the Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen, Lord, we praise You and we thank You!

Live in the Organic Union with the Lord to be the Church in the Triune God in Reality

I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5

If we look at Christianity in general, if we look at the situation in Christendom today, we quickly realise that there is much degradation and corruption among Christians.

According to God’s view, the church is in the Triune God, but in reality, where is the church in the Triune God on earth today? Even among us in the church life, are we in reality the church in the Triune God? Is the Triune God being expressed through us as we remain in the organic union with the Lord?

We need to realise that, even though we have a life relationship with the Lord through faith in Him, we need to choose to daily live in the organic union with the Lord so that we may be the church in the Triune God in reality.

Just as the son of a king will be one day a king, but until then, he needs to learn to behave like a king, so we today are sons of God, and we need to learn to live by the divine life in our spirit by walking according to the spirit so that we may express God (Rom. 8:4).

We don’t need to try to behave in this or that way; we have been joined to the Lord as one spirit (1 Cor. 6:17), and we have an organic union with Him.

The Lord Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches (John 15:1); the Father is the Husbandman.

The Triune God revealed in the Word of God is for our enjoyment and experience, for us to be God’s corporate expression.

As we remain and live in the organic union with the Lord, He will live in us, He will be expressed through us, and we will be in reality the church in the Triune God.

Even though we have received God’s life and nature at the time of our regeneration, we are still human beings, but we have a different life in us.

We were cut off from the old man, the old source, and we were joined organically to the Triune God, so that we may be one with Him in spirit.

Outwardly, we are human beings living in the flesh; inwardly, we are joined to the Lord as one spirit, and the life we now live in the flesh, we live in faith – the organic union with the Lord (Gal. 2:20).

This is how the apostle Paul lived. When he was in prison, he did not complain, he did not murmur, and he did not try to escape; he simply lived in the organic union with the Lord to express Christ.

He magnified Christ in his body, and whether through life or through death, he aspired to live Christ and magnify Christ.

We have been brought into this organic union with the Lord.

I am crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. Gal. 2:20As the apostle John says in 1 John 1:1-3, we have fellowship with God the Father and with His Son, and what we see of Him in our fellowship with Him, we report to others, so that we may have fellowship together, and our fellowship is in and with the Triune God.

Our Christian life needs to be in this mingling with God, in the union with God, even in the incorporation with God, where He lives in us and we live in the organic union with the Lord.

Just as the branches abide in the vine and live one with the vine, expressing the vine and bearing fruit by abiding in the vine, so we need to abide in the Lord daily by living in our mingled spirit so that we may express Him.

First, we need to see that we are in Christ and He is in us; we are organically joined as one.

When we see this, we will choose to no longer live in ourselves or by ourselves but turn to Him, live one spirit with Him, and treasure living in the organic union with Him.

Oh, what a blessed life we have when we live in the organic union with the Lord!

Even though this is so personal and intimate, for we live in the organic union with the Lord in spirit, it is also something corporate, for the Christ we abide in is the corporate Christ, the Body-Christ, so we with the saints are the church in the Triune God! Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, we choose to live in the organic union with the Lord today so that we may be the church in the Triune God in reality. Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to live one spirit with You today. Thank You for coming into us and for bringing us into You so that we may be fully one with You in spirit! Hallelujah, he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit! Amen, Lord, we want to remain here, in the organic union with You, all day today. Keep us in the intimate touch with You. We want to fellowship with You concerning all things. May our fellowship be with the Father and with the Son, so that we may also fellowship with others and be the church in the Triune God in reality. Amen, Lord, may we be found in You and may You live in us. May our daily life be no longer in the flesh or in the natural man but in Christ, even in the organic union with the Lord. Live in us today. Be expressed through us today. May we be the church in the Triune God in reality!

First Thessalonians 1:1 says, “Paul and Silvanus and Timothy to the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace.” This Epistle and the second were both addressed to the local church in Thessalonica, composed of all the believers in Christ in that city. Such a local church is of the believers and is in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. This indicates that such a local church is born of God the Father with His life and nature and is united with the Lord Jesus Christ organically in all that He is and has done. Hence, it is of men (such as the Thessalonians) yet in God and in the Lord organically. This organic union in the divine life and nature is the vital base for the believers to live a holy life for the church life. Such a living is the theme of the two Epistles.

Amen. Lord, live in us and be expressed through us.

When we were created, we only had our natural human life.

When we were regenerated, our life relationship with God began and we obtained God’s life.

In this way, God is no longer merely our creator; He is also our father and by receiving Him we are becoming His many sons.

Amen, Lord thank you for redeeming us. Lord keep us in this organic union with You. O Lord continue to impart Your life into us.

Amen brother. We were created outside of God.

However, we have been regenerated to become sons of God living in an organic union with the Triune God.

This organic union is the vital base for living a holy life for the church life.

The church can never be a secular organisation.

The church is composed only of the sons of God who are in the Triune God.

May we daily exercise our spirit and our heart to live in the Father, Son and Spirit for a holy life.

Because we were begotten of God, born of God, regenerated with the life of God, we have an organic union and a life relationship with Him.

As such ones we compose the church, which is the Body of Christ.

Praise the Lord the church is of believers, in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen! Begotten of God and in the Triune God as the Church of God!

Hallelujah!!!

For the church to be merely of God, it is sufficient that God be merely our Creator. But for the church to be in the Triune God is for the church to be in God in His process.

And for the church to be in God, God must become our Father and we must become His children. We need to have a life relationship with Him.

Likewise, for the church to be in the Lord Jesus Christ, Christ must be the Lord and Jesus to us. We need to be united with the Lord Jesus Christ organically in all that He is and has done.

Thank You Father for not only caring us but for begetting us. Cause us to grow in our life relationship with You.

Thank You Lord that we are organically joined to You. Strengthen our organic union, our abiding with You today.

This refers to the believers’ organic union with the Lord through believing into Him (John 3:15-16). This union is illustrated by that of the branches with the vine (John 15:4-5). It is a matter not only of life but in life (the divine life). Such a union with the resurrected Lord can only be in our spirit. 1 Cor. 6:17 footnote 1 on, joined to the Lord.

This indicates the mingling of the Lord as the Spirit with our spirit. Our spirit has been regenerated by the Spirit of God (John 3:6), who is now in us (v. 19) and is one with our spirit (Rom. 8:16). This is the realization of the Lord, who became the life-giving Spirit through resurrection (1 Cor. 15:45; 2 Cor. 3:17) and who is now with our spirit (2 Tim. 4:22). This mingled spirit is often referred to in Paul’s Epistles, e.g., in Rom. 8:4-6. 1 Cor. 6:17, note 2 on, one spirit.

A very enjoyable hymn on this topic is Hymn #608

1. What mystery, the Father, Son, and Spirit,

In person three, in substance all are one.

How glorious, this God our being enters

To be our all, thru Spirit in the Son!

The Triune God has now become our all!

 How wonderful! How glorious!

This Gift divine we never can exhaust!

  How excellent! How marvelous!

2. How rich the source, the Father as the fountain,

And all this wealth He wants man to enjoy!

O blessed fact, this vast exhaustless portion

Is now for us forever to employ!
