Learn to Pray with Authority to Command in Faith and Bring God’s Authority to Earth

Truly I say to you that whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says happens, he will have it. Mark 11:23

The most important prayer and the most spiritual prayer is the prayer of authority, which is a command based on authority, having the aspect of binding and loosing, even of commanding the mountain to move and be cast into the sea; it is not a prayer of asking God to do something for us but dealing with problems by directly applying God’s authority.

Lord Jesus, we stand one with You on earth. We are Your Body and You are the Head. You have been exalted, You are on the throne, and we are seated with You in the heavenlies. Amen, Lord, release Your prayers through us. Pray the prayers that You need through us, Your Body, for the obstacles to be removed, the enemy to be bound, and God’s kingdom to be released and come among us! Amen!

We believers in Christ need to see that Jesus Christ has all authority in heaven and on earth. Our Christ is so wonderful, so enjoyable, so loving, and so sweet; at the same time, He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

He has all authority in heaven and on earth, and authority is only with Him. We do not have authority; we can have the Lord’s authority flow through us, and this should not cause us to be proud, but all authority is with God.

If we want to be persons who represent God with authority, we must be the right kind of people.

First of all, we need to submit to authority, for only when we submit to God’s authority and to His delegated authority can we also have authority flow through us.

We need to realise that, in ourselves, we have no authority. We need to know God’s will, realising that God’s perfect will is related to Christ and the church.

We need to deny the self, for we do not express ourselves but Christ, the One who lives in us.

As we deny the self, we remain in a close, constant, an dintimate fellowship with the Lord, being one spirit with Him in all things.

Also, we should not be subjective or act according to our feelings; rather, we need to bring our feelings to God, deal with our feelings, and express His feelings.

In this way, we are gracious and kind in dealing with others, and we will live in resurrection, even living in the resurrection life of Christ.

A person who can represent God with His authority takes a lowly place before God, submitting himself to His authority, and is able to bear others’ offenses.

He is conscious of his own inability and unsuitability, and he represents God properly. May the Lord make us such ones, and may He gain some who properly represent God today!

The Prayer of Authority is a Commanding Prayer based on God’s Authority

Truly I say to you, Whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in heaven. Matt. 18:18

There are many kinds of prayers that we can pray, and we do need to pray many prayers. One particular kind of prayer, even the most important prayer and the most spiritual prayer, is the prayer of authority (see Matt. 18:18; Mark 11:20-24).

In the Bible, we see many kinds of prayers, and the most lofty and spiritual prayer is the prayer of authority.

Besides the prayers of praise, prayers of thanksgiving, supplicating prayers, prayers of intercession, and begging prayers, there is the prayer of authority.

This is the most crucial and the most spiritual prayer in the Bible, a sign of authority and a declaration of authority. The prayer of authority is a command based on authority (Isa 45:11; Mark 11:20-24).

The Lord Jesus has all authority in heaven and on earth, and now we stand one with Him in His authority, and we are able to pray things to change things. The prayer of authority is a commanding prayer.

If we wish to have weighty and valuable prayers before God, we need to be able to give out some authoritative commands before God (Mark 11:20).

This is not to be presumptuous and command God to do things; rather, this is knowing God’s will, standing on God’s will, and being one with God to execute His will on the earth through our prayers.

According to Matthew 18:18, the prayer of authority has two aspects – binding and loosing.

On the one hand, we stand one with the Lord to bind what the heaven has bound; on the other hand, we loose on earth what has been loosed in the heaven.

This means that we are so one with the Lord that we know what the heavens has bound and loosed, and we pray one with the Lord to loose on earth what has been loosed in the heavens, and to bind on earth what has been bound in heavens.

The Lord Jesus said that, whatever we on earth pray in one accord to loose, the heaven will also do it. Ordinary prayers are prayers that ask God to bind and loose.

Many times we pray such prayers. We ask the Lord to bind His enemy, loose the people we pray for so that they may believe or grow in life, and we ask the Lord to do this and that. This is an ordinary prayer.

I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of the heavens, and whatever you bind on the earth shall have been bound in the heavens, and whatever you loose on the earth shall have been loosed in the heavens. Matt. 16:19But prayers with authority are those in which we bind and loose by exercising authority. We don’t ask God to bind or loose; we bind and loose, standing on the Lord’s authority. He has authority in heaven and on earth, and all authority has been given to Him; now we stand one with Him on earth.

What the church binds on earth, God will also bind in heaven, for heaven has already bound. What the church looses on earth, God will also loose in heaven, for the heaven has already loosed it.

Prayers of authority are the prayers in which we bind and loose by exercising authority.

We as the church stand one with the Lord in His authority, being seated with Christ in the heavenlies (Eph. 2:6), and we release on earth what has been released in the heavens, and we bind on earth what has been bound in heaven.

The heaven and the earth are one, in one accord. May the Lord uplift our prayer life and especially our corporate times of prayer.

When we come together and pray, many times we don’t need to ask the Lord to do this or that, to bind the enemy and release His will; we simply need to exercise His authority, standing one with Him, and bind and loose one with the Lord.

Many of us have experienced this; especially in the prayer meeting of the church, we stand on the authority of Christ, one with our ascended and exalted Head, and we pray prayers of authority.

Lord Jesus, make us one with You today. We stand one with You on the earth. We exercise our spirit, Lord, to pray. We want to pray all kinds of prayers so that we may contact You, enjoy You, receive You, flow You out, and release Your will on the earth. May we learn to pray the most important prayer, the prayer of authority. Amen, Lord, uplift our prayer life. May we pray the most spiritual prayer, the prayer of authority. Oh Lord, we stand one with You, joined to You in the heavenlies, and we exercise Your authority on the earth. We praise You, our glorious Head, for You have been resurrected, ascended, and exalted! Praise the Lord, Christ now has all authority in heaven and on earth, and He is exalted far above all! Amen, Lord, we stand one with You and we utter commanding prayers to loose on earth what has been loosed in the heaven, and to bind on earth what has been bound in heaven! Amen, Lord, may we have weighty and valuable prayers before God by giving out some authoritative commands before God, one with the Lord!

Learn to Pray with Authority to Bring the Authority of the Throne on the Earth, Speaking to the Mountain!

Thus says Jehovah, / The Holy One of Israel and the One who formed him, / Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, / And concerning the work of My hands, command Me. Isa. 45:11

In Mark 11:20-24, the Lord Jesus spoke concerning prayer, in particular, concerning how to pray with authority, praying prayers of authority.

What does it mean to pray with authority? What are the prayers with authority? Simply put, prayers with authority are the prayers in Mark 11.

The way the Lord spoke concerning prayer is quite unusual; He didn’t say that we should ask God to remove the mountain or to give us a way through the mountain.

Rather, the Lord said that we need to speak to the mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and if we believe in our heart, it will be done for us. Wow! This is the prayer with authority.

Truly I say to you that whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says happens, he will have it. For this reason I say to you, All things that you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and you will have them. Mark 11:23-24The prayer is not directed at God or at the enemy; the prayer with authority is addressed to the mountain.

God wants to deal with something which is so big that it seems to be a huge mountain; we do not pray that God would remove the mountain but rather, we command the mountain to be cast into the sea.

A prayer with authority doesn’t ask God to do something; rather, it exercises God’s authority and applies this authority to deal with problems and things that need to be removed (v. 23).

A prayer with authority is directed not toward God but toward the mountain, asking the mountain to be removed and be cast into the sea.

It exercises God’s authority and applies this authority to deal with problems and things that ought to be removed. We need to learn such prayers today.

As believers in Christ who aspire to be the Lord’s overcomers who bring Him back and bring in the kingdom, we need to learn to pray by speaking to the mountain and uttering commanding prayers.

We need to stand one with the Lord and exercise God’s authority not to ask God to do something but rather speak to the mountain, and it will be done for us.

What is a mountain? A mountain can be our weaknesses, our temper, our evil thoughts, or our physical illnesses.

We may plead with God concerning such things, but there doesn’t seem to be much result. But if we apply God’s authority to the situation and speak to the mountain, these problems will go away.

Many times we merely beg God to save us from this, remove that bad habit from us, or help us to overcome our temper.

Not many times do we pray by applying God’s authority to the problem or by saying, I command you in the name of my Lord to go away!

We need to pray such prayers, each one to his own mountain or mountains, so that we may exercise God’s authority, standing one with the Lord.

When the temper troubles us and frustrates us, we need to tell our temper, I cannot tolerate you anymore: go away! We can tell the sickness, Go away; I will rise up by the resurrection life of the Lord.

A prayer with authority doesn’t ask God directly to do something for us; rather, it deals with the problems by directly applying God’s authority (Exo. 14:15-27). We all need to learn to do this.

We do this mainly in a corporate way, even by being with our vital companions, the saints we pray with, or the group the Lord put us with. We stand one with the Lord and one with one another, and we apply God’s authority.

The most important work of the overcomers is to bring the authority of the throne to earth (Rev. 11:15; 12:10).

And the seventh angel trumpeted; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever. Rev. 11:15 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, Now has come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ, for the accuser of our brothers has been cast down, who accuses them before our God day and night. Rev. 12:10If we believers in Christ want to be an overcomer, we must learn to pray with authority and speak to the mountain. We need to learn this.

We cannot presume we know nor should we be presumptuous in doing this; we need to see what our most important work is as overcomers. God wants to bring in His kingdom to the earth, and we want to cooperate with Him for this.

We want to be the Lord’s overcomers, so we need to learn to pray with authority. It is our decision. It is up to us.

Christ has been given all authority in heaven and on earth, and we are joined to Him in spirit; we are one spirit with the Lord. All that He has and is, all that He has done and has accomplished, everything is being transmitted to the church.

We simply need to stand in the mingled spirit one with Him, and we need to utter commanding prayers one with Him.

All of us have mountains; all of us have things that we cannot overcome, which seem insurmountable, and which do not change but rather hinder us from fulfilling God’s economy.

These mountains are not the same in size; however, whatever is blocking us from going on in the spiritual pathway, we can command to go away.

This is to pray with authority. May we remain in oneness with the all-inclusive Christ and may we pray prayers of authority one with Him today! Amen!

Lord Jesus, we want to learn to pray prayers of authority today. We stand one with You. Amen, Lord, we are one with the all-inclusive Christ today and we stand in ascension, one with Christ. Teach us how to pray with authority today. Oh Lord, You see the mountains in our spiritual pathway; You see how our temper bothers us, sin so easily entangles us, and our disposition is frustrating us. We stand one with You, Lord, and we command the mountain to be removed and cast into the sea. Amen, Lord, we exercise Your authority and we apply Your authority to deal with problems and things that ought to be removed! May we learn to do this, Lord, in our daily living and also in our prayer with the saints. We aspire to be Your overcomers. May we carry out the most important work of the overcomers, that is, bringing in the authority of the throne to earth! Amen, Lord, may we learn to pray with authority and speak to the mountain! Gain such prayers in our personal life and in the church life so that the enemy would be defeated and put to shame, and so that Your kingdom would come in!

What is praying with authority? Simply put, it is praying the prayer of Mark 11…Verse 24 begins with the words “for this reason.” “For this reason” means that this sentence is a continuation of what has gone before…Verse 24 mentions prayer. This proves that verse 23 must also concern prayer. The strange thing is that verse 23 does not sound like an ordinary prayer. The Lord did not tell us to pray, “God, please move the mountain and cast it into the sea.” What does it say? It says, “Whoever says to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea.”…We think that when we pray to God, we have to say, “God, please move this mountain and cast it into the sea.” But the Lord said something else…He told us to turn to the mountain and to speak to the mountain. The speaking is not toward God but directly toward the mountain, telling it to be cast into the sea. Since the Lord was afraid that we would not consider this to be a prayer, He pointed out in the following verse that it is a prayer. This prayer is not directed toward God, but it is a prayer. It is a speaking directed toward the mountain…This is a prayer with authority. A prayer with authority does not ask God to do something. Rather, it exercises God’s authority and applies this authority to deal with problems and things that ought to be removed. Every overcomer has to learn to pray this kind of prayer. Every overcomer has to learn to speak to the mountain.

Dear brother, the most important prayer and the most spiritual prayer is the prayer of authority.

This is not just a begging prayer or a prayer asking God to do this or that for us; it is a commanding prayer, a prayer of binding and loosing by exercising God’s authority.

We cannot do this in a presumptuous way, but we can stand one with the Lord and “command the mountain” to move, praying with authority in the Lord’s name.

May the Lord gain this among us so that we may pray with authority and remove the problems, obstacles, and any issues that stand in God’s way of doing what He wants to do in us and around us.

Lord Jesus, we stand one with You today! May we be those who pray this most important and spiritual prayer, the prayer of authority, the prayer that commands the mountain to move! Amen, Lord!

The prayer of authority is a commanding prayer, a prayer that is directed not to God but to “this mountain.” This is the most important prayer and the most spiritual prayer.

The prayer of authority is a command based on authority. Ordinary prayers are prayers that ask God to bind and loose but prayers with authority are those in which we bind and loose by exercising authority.

A prayer with authority is not asking God directly; rather, it is dealing with problems by directly applying God’s authority.

The most important work of the overcomers is to bring the authority of the throne to earth; if we want to be an overcomer, we must learn to pray with authority and speak to the mountain.

Lord, teach us to pray this prayer. Train us and perfect us. Your kingdom come and Your will be done.

If, Lord, we declare that you are a being of authority, say your word so that you will heal us from all rebellion and we can make one with you and perform the prayers of authority to move the mountains and mountains.

We need to learn to pray authoritative & reigning prayers in which we execute our God’s commands.

We on Earth must bind & loose by exercising authority, for whatever the Earth does, heaven will also do.

We need to learn to speak directly to the “mountains” (problems) that frustrate God’s will, speaking directly to the demons and evil spirits with authority.

Authority is greater than power.
