As believers in Christ who are born of God to have His life and nature, we need to know and experience God as love and light; when we know God as such love and light, we will enjoy Him as grace and truth, reality, in our daily living. Amen!
How much we thank the Lord and praise Him for the fact that He regenerated us with the life of God to make us children of God, part of the species of God!
We believers in Christ have Christ living in us, and He as a living person dwells in us, lives in us, grows in us, is being formed in us, and is bringing us to maturity so that we may be glorified and be even as He is. Wonderful!
As we go through our daily life, taking care of many things and doing the things we need to do daily, we are learning to fellowship with the Lord, even to allow Him to spread in us, make His home in us, and do all things in us. We are children of God.
Just as our children have our life and nature, so we as children of God have the life and nature of God in us.
The more we turn to the Lord by turning to our spirit throughout the day, the more we get to know the Lord living within us. The more we contact the Lord in all our situations and in all the things we are in, the more He grows in us, lives in us, and is being formed in us.
As children of God having His life and nature, we can be imitators of God, for the divine life of God in us can be expressed to live the same kind of life as Jesus lived.
However, if we merely try in ourselves and by our natural effort to express God, the result will not be God’s expression but what we see today in Christianity, the human attempt to express God by means of religion.
May the Lord shine on us and bring us into the realisation that we are children of God, and may we be imitators of God by living in our mingled spirit! Amen!
We can be perfect even as our heavenly Father is perfect because we have His life and nature in us. We have God’s life and nature, and we can be as perfect as our Father.
This doesn’t mean that we are improving ourselves and that our natural life becomes better, even more God-like; rather, this means that we are crossed out, our natural man is put to death, the self is denied, and Christ lives in us. Only when Christ lives in us can we be the expression of God.
Only when we live in our spirit, one with the Lord, can we be perfect even as our heavenly Father is perfect.
We need to Know and Experience God as Love and Light – God is Love and God is Light
The New Testament shows us that God is love and light (1 John 4:8, 16; 1:5). We need to know and experience God as love and light.
The knowledge that we need to have of God is not objective, something that we know in our mind; we do need to have a proper knowledge of God as love and light, but we need to have a subjective knowledge and experience of Him also.
We are children of God, and we need to know God as love and light. We can ask the Lord to lead us to know God as love and also know God as light.
When the Lord Jesus resurrected, on the day of His resurrection, He said that He would ascend to His Father and our Father, to His God and our God. God is our God and also our Father.
We want to know Him as love and light. Love and light are actually God Himself; they are God’s being, His essence (see 1 John 4:8; 1:5).
This is the message which we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all. Amen, God is light!
Light is His very being. The nature of God’s being is light. When we see God, we see light, for God is light. When we come to God, we touch light, for God is light.
When we are one with the Lord, we walk in the light, and there’s no darkness in us or in our living.
Furthermore, God is love; he who does not love has not known God, because God is love. The book of 1 John first says that God is (1:5) light and then that God is love (4:8, 16).
The apostle John was one who knew and experienced God as love and light in his daily living, and his writings imparted something of God as love and light into those who read them.
Love is the nature of God’s essence; in His essence, God is love. God does not just love; God is love.
When we touch God, we touch love. Our love is limited, but God’s love is unlimited and transcendent. The nature of God’s essence is love; out of love, He sent His Beloved Son to come and die for us.
Because of the great love with which He loved us, while we were yet sinners, Christ came to die for us. There’s no moment in time when God is not love; He is love, for the essence of His being is love.
We need to know and experience God as love and light. We need to open to the Lord day by day so that we may know and experience God as love and light.
When we touch God as light, we receive truth, reality, for truth is the shining out of light. Light is the source of truth, and love is the source of grace.
When light shines out, it becomes truth, and when love is expressed, it becomes grace. Love, as the nature of God’s essence, is the source of grace, while light, as the nature of God’s expression, is the source of truth.
We cannot touch God as light, for whoever sees God face to face will die, for He dwells in unapproachable light.
However, we can enjoy grace; the gospel of John shows us that Christ came full of grace and reality (John 1:17).
Christ came to make God enjoyable, approachable, and entrable, so He came full of grace and reality.
When we receive Christ, fellowship with Him, and live by grace and reality, He brings us into the fellowship with the Father, where we touch His love as the source of grace and His light as the source of truth.
When we believe into the Lord Jesus, we receive grace and truth; by enjoying grace and truth, we are brought back to the source of grace and truth, God the Father as love and light.
May we stay in fellowship with God as love and light so that we may become beloved children of God who walk in love and light. May we seek to know and experience God as love and light so that in all our daily living we may walk in love and light.
Day by day we need to ask the Lord to supply us with the portion of grace we need for us to live Christ and express God.
God the Father wants us to enjoy His Son as grace and reality, and He wants us to come to know and experience God as love and light.
When the divine love appears to us, it becomes grace; then, when the divine light shines upon us, it becomes truth.
We can testify that, as we come to the Lord’s word and exercise to touch the Lord, we enjoy the Lord as grace, for the love of God reaches us as grace.
We can also testify that we sense the Lord’s shining through His word, and what we get is the truth, the expression of God as light.
May we come to the Lord again and again in His word and may we remain in fellowship with Him throughout the day so that we may know and experience God as love and light in our daily living!
Lord Jesus, we want to know and experience God as love and light. Hallelujah, we are children of God, and we can know and experience God as love and light in our daily living! We open to You, Lord. We want to know God as love, even to touch God as love and be filled with God as love. Thank You, Father, for loving us. Thank You for doing so many things for us out of love for us. Thank You for keeping us in Your love and for showing Your love toward us day by day. We come to You and we enjoy Christ as grace, the expression of God as love. Oh, Christ is so rich and full of grace and reality! Amen, Lord, we open to You to know God and experience God as light! May we remain under Your shining today. Shine on us and shine in us. Keep us in the light. We come to You in Your word so that Your truth may be infused into us, shine on us, and saturate us. Hallelujah, God is love and light, and we can know and experience God as love and light in our daily living, for we are children of God!
Know and Experience God as Love and Light by Enjoying Christ as Grace and Truth
When we say that God is love and light, we speak of the nature of His very being. However, when we come to know and experience God as love and light, we actually enjoy Christ as grace and truth, for love reaches us as grace and light shines out as truth.
This is something for our daily experience as Christians, as believers in Christ, and as children of God.
The Gentiles walk in the vanity of their mind because they don’t have the shining of the light of God on them (Eph. 4:17-18). However, we believers in Christ have the divine light which is God Himself, shining over us and even making us light in the Lord (Eph. 5:8).
Thank the Lord that God shines on us and His light reaches us as the truth to expose any darkness, remove any dark spot, and sanctify us, even to add the nature of God into us and make us the same as He is.
We believers in Christ have the divine light shining on us; as we enjoy God as light shining on us by means of Christ as truth, we walk in the light and we even become light. Hallelujah!
One day, all things which are reproved will be manifest by the light, for everything that makes things manifest is light.
May we let the Lord shine on us today. May we allow Him to expose any darkness and manifest anything of the kingdom of darkness in us.
May we be those who awake from any sleep and even arise from the dead, so that Christ may shine upon us (Eph. 5:13-14).
When the Lord shines on us and exposes any darkness in us, we simply need to say Amen and let the Lord deal with it by purging that thing from our being. If we receive the exposing and rebuking, we will be blessed.
Light exposes and also purges. Many times in our daily living, we sense that the Lord shines on us in different aspects of our living, in our relationship with others, in the way we react to what is happening, and even in our attitude toward some people.
If we allow the Lord’s light to shine on us, rebuke us, and expose us, and we don’t argue with the light, we will know God as love and light. Every rebuke is the shining of Christ.
May we worship the Lord for His shining and receive His rebuke. If we do this, we will walk in the light. But if we are not willing to receive the rebuke from the light, we will remain in darkness.
May the Lord have a way to shine on us day by day, and may we place ourselves under His shining by coming to His word with the exercise of our spirit.
Sometimes His shining exposes the fact that we’re not just sleeping but we’re dead; He awakens us from sleep and raises us from the dead. Oh, how we need the Lord’s shining day by day!
As He shines on us through the Word, truth reaches us, and we enjoy Christ as the truth.
We also enjoy God as love being expressed through Christ as grace; when God’s love reaches us, we receive and enjoy grace. Oh, what grace!
What grace we receive from the Lord when we allow Him to shine on us and expose us, and we open to Him for His fresh supply!
Eph. 4:17-32 shows us Christ as the reality of grace for the living of the one new man. Eph. 5:1-21 shows us Christ as the light with love for our daily walk.
May we let the Lord shine on us. May we enjoy Him as grace. May we know God as love and light in our daily living, and may we experience Christ as truth and grace, the reaching out of love and light.
Lord Jesus, shine on us! We open to Your shining. Expose and remove any darkness in our being. We want to know God as love and light in our daily experience. Hallelujah, Christ is light with love for our daily walk. Shine on us, Lord, and shine on every part of our being and on every aspect of our living. We say Amen to Your shining. May anything dark or impure be made manifest by the light. Grant us the grace to agree with the light and allow the light to purge any sin and darkness from our being. Oh Lord, may we not remain asleep or in death but may we awake and arise from any sleep or death so that we may know and experience God as love and light! Make us willing to accept the exposing, rebuke, and uncovering from Your light so that we may be children of God walking in love and light. Amen, Lord, we want to walk in the light, even as You are in the light, and we want to walk in love, even as You are love. We love You, Lord Jesus!

The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 3439-3441, by Witness Lee
As children of God, we need to know and experience God as love and light.
Love and light are God’s nature, and when we touch Him, we enjoy truth and grace.
In particular, I enjoyed that the Lord is shining on us and exposing and rebuking us, and we simply need to say Amen to His shining.
Then, we will be children of God walking in love and light.
Today, we see a vital aspect of imitating God.
As children of God, we should be children of light who walk in love. By staying in fellowship with God as love & light, we become children of God walking in love & light.
Light & love form a pair which is the source of grace & truth. Light is the source of truth, and love is the source of grace.
Christ Himself is the light with love for our walk.
To be under Christ’s shining involves exposure & reprimand. Every rebuke is the shining of Christ.
If we are not willing to accept a rebuke, we are walking in darkness and are therefore unable to imitate God.
Amen, brother!
In the Father’s presence, we touch His love as the source of grace and His light as the source of truth.
We need to accept the Lord’s shinning and walk in the light. When He exposes us we receive it as His shining so that we may walk in the light.
Dear brother, love as the nature of God’s essence is the source of grace.
Light as the nature of God’s expression is the source of truth, reality.
For us to experience grace and truth we must be willing to receive His exposing and reproving so that He, Christ, would shine on us so that we would no longer walk in darkness but in light as children of light!
Praise the Lord, whenever we are rebuked, we should say Lord, I worship You for your shining. To receive a rebuke is to walk in light! Wow! Aaaaameeen!
Amen. Light is the source of reality and love is the source of grace.
When we experience the Lord as our reality and grace, we are brought back to the source which is love and light.
By this God is able to work in our being allowing us to walk in love and light, thus expressing Him in our daily living.
However by walking in the light we will be exposed and rebuked. But if we are truly walking in the light we will be able to profit from any kind of rebuking.
