Seeing that the Influence of our Enjoyment of God will Gain the whole Earth for God

Psa. 68:27-29 ...The princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali. Your God has commanded your strength; strengthen, O God, that which You have done for us. Because of Your temple at Jerusalem, kings will bring a gift to You.

When the church as the house of God is strengthened and safeguarded, it becomes the city of God, the kingdom of God, and the influence of the enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God, and all men will praise God! Hallelujah!

Psalm 68 is an amazing chapter, revealing Christ as the center of God’s move on the earth from His incarnation through His ascension to His second coming.

This chapter is an exposition of Numbers 10:35-36, revealing Christ as the center of God’s move on the earth; God’s move was in the tabernacle with the ark, which was a type of God’s move in Christ from His incarnation to His ascension.

Today God is still moving, this time in the church as the enlargement and reproduction of Christ.

What we see first in Psa. 68 is God’s victory in Christ as the center; Christ came as God becoming a man, and in His incarnation and crucifixion He defeated Satan.

Hallelujah, Christ has won the victory, and we bear the glad tidings of Christ’s victory; we rest in God’s provision and care for His elect, and we enjoy all the gains of the accomplishment, consummation, attainment, and obtainment of Christ as the reapings of the victory of His death, resurrection, and ascension.

We as redeemed ones enjoy the Triune God with all the items of His complete, full, and all-inclusive salvation.

Psa. 68 also reveals Christ’s ascension; in His ascension He led captive those taken captive (the redeemed saints), and He brought them to the Father as gifts; the Father gave them to Christ, and Christ gave them as gifts to the Body.

All believers in Christ are gifts to the Body, for the building up of the dwelling place of God. In God’s dwelling place, the church, God is everything to us, and we enjoy being loaded with God as good, for God is our salvation.

In the church life in the local churches, God is to us a God of deliverance, and with Him are the goings forth even from death.

In the church life, as we meet with the saints on the ground of oneness and in the mingled spirit, we enjoy the victory of Christ over His enemies.

And as we enjoy all that God is in the church life, we simply praise the Lord! We praise Him for accomplishing a judicial redemption as the base for His organic salvation, and we praise Him for His complete and full salvation! Hallelujah!

Being Ships Loaded with the Gospel Speaking Beautiful Words to Propagate Christ

Dwelling at the shore of the sea (Galilee) and being a shore for ships (Gen. 49:13), Zebulun typifies Christ as the “shore” of the evangelists for the transportation and spreading in the preaching of God’s gospel. On the day of Pentecost, at least one hundred twenty gospel “ships,” all of whom were Galileans, set out to spread the gospel (Acts 1:8, 11; 2:2-4). Naphtali typifies Christ as the One who is released from death in resurrection, signified by the “hind let loose” (Gen. 49:21; Psa. 22, title; 18:33; S.S. 2:8-9), and gives beautiful words for the preaching of His gospel (Matt. 28:18-20). People of both Zebulun and Naphtali were men of Galilee (4:12-17; Acts 1:11), from whom the gospel of Christ has been spread, preached, and propagated. In typology Zebulun and Naphtali form a group for the spreading and the propagating of the glad tidings of Christ’s redemption for God’s salvation. Crystallisation-Study of Numbers (1), outline 12In Psa. 68:27 we see “the princes of Zebulun”; Zebulun dwelt at the shore of the sea (Galilee) and was a shore for ships (Gen. 49:13).

As such a one, Zebulun typifies Christ as the “shore” of the evangelists for the transportation and spreading in the preaching of God’s gospel.

We see the fulfillment of this in Acts 1:8, 11, and 2:2-4, for on the day of Pentecost, at least a hundred twenty gospel “ships” – all of whom were Galileans – set out to spread the gospel.

We as believers in Christ enjoy all that Christ is to us, all that He has done for us, and we benefit of His organic salvation; therefore, we are “gospel ships” loaded with the gospel to speak to others the good news of Christ with His wonderful salvation.

Wherever we are, we are setting out to preach the gospel to those around us.

Psa. 68:27 also mentions “the princes of Naphtali”; Naphtali typifies Christ as the One who is released from death and resurrection (signified by the “hind let loose”, see Gen. 49:21; Psa. 18:33; S. S. 2:8-9) and gives beautiful words for the preaching of His gospel (Matt. 28:18-20).

Naphtali is a hind let loose, and he gives beautiful words. When we come together to enjoy the Lord and are being under the Lord’s speaking in conferences and trainings and blending meetings, the Lord is speaking to us the beautiful words of His economy to dispense Himself into us.

Then, as we meet others, what we speak with them is the beautiful words of God’s economy to minister Christ into them. The people of both Zebulun and Naphtali were men of Galilee (Matt. 4:12-14; Acts 1:11), from whom the gospel of Christ has been spread, preached, and propagated.

In typology Zebulun and Naphtali form a group for the spreading and the propagating of the glad tiding of Christ’s redemption for God’s salvation.

We believers in Christ are “gospel ships” loaded with Christ as the good things, and we speak beautiful words to propagate Christ and minister Him to all men.

Thank You Lord for loading us with the gospel and sending us out to speak the beautiful words of God’s economy to others! Amen, Lord, You have accomplished a wonderful redemption for us, and we are now enjoying Your full organic salvation. We are filled with joy and gratitude, Lord, and we want to go as “gospel ships” to bring the “gospel cargo” to others! Amen, Lord Jesus, recover the spreading and propagating of the glad tidings of Christ’s redemption for God’s salvation among us in the church life!

Praying that God will Strengthen what He has done for us for the Church to be the Kingdom of God

We need to pray that God will strengthen that which He has done for us out of the church...(Psa. 68:28-29)....God has put Satan to death already. We do not need God to repeat this act, but we do need Him to strengthen us. God has put our self, our old man, on the cross already—God has done this, and He need not reenact it. However, we need God to strengthen this experience within us. The Bible tells us that we have ascended with Christ to the heavens—God has done this already. Today what we need is the strengthening of this experience within us. This strengthening is in the temple. When we experience the strengthening of God in the local church, the church is transformed from a house to a city. The temple becomes Jerusalem. The house is surrounded, protected, and safeguarded by the walls of the city. Then, because we are so victorious, so overcoming, so transcendent, we have the sense that all the kings of the earth will bring a gift to the Lord [Rev. 21:24]. Witness Lee, Christ and the Church Revealed and Typified in the Psalms, ch. 10Isa. 68:28-29 says, Strengthen, o God, that which You have done for us. Because of Your temple at Jerusalem.

Following God’s strengthening of what He has done for His elect, the influence of the enjoyment of God in His house spreads to the entire city of Jerusalem (cf. Eph. 3:16-17; John 16:13; Rev. 4:5; 5:6).

The house of God signifies the local church, and the city of Jerusalem signifies the kingdom, the strengthening and safeguard of the church. We need to pray that God will strengthen what He has done for us out of the church.

God has done many things for us – He has destroyed Satan, He has delivered us from the world, sin, Satan, and death, and He has already died and resurrected; all these things need to be strengthened in our experience in the church life.

God has already put our self, our old man, on the cross; He has done this, and He doesn’t need to do it again – but we need to pray that He would strengthen this experience in us.

When these experiences of what God has done for us are being strengthened in the local church, the church is transformed and enlarged from being the house of God to being the city of God, the kingdom of God.

When God strengthens what He has done for His people in His house, the house becomes the city; when God strengthens in us what He has done for us, the church becomes the kingdom of God.

We need to ask the Lord to apply to us and strengthen in our experience what He has done for us, so that the church as the house of God would be surrounded, protected, and safeguarded by the walls of the city as the kingdom of God.

Then, because we will be so victorious, so overcoming, so overcoming, and so transcendent, we will have the else that all the kings of the earth will bring a gift to the Lord (see Rev. 21:24).

May we be those who earnestly ask the Lord in prayer that He would strengthen what He has done for us so that the church would be enlarged and strengthened to be the kingdom of God on earth.

May we see what God has done for us – from His incarnation to His ascension – and may we ask God to apply to our experience and strengthen our experience of all that He has already accomplished for us, so that the church as the house of God would be strengthened and enlarged to become the kingdom of God.

The Bible tells us that we have been crucified with Christ, we were resurrected with Him, we were ascended with Him, and we are seated with Him in the heavenlies; the Bible clearly tells us that our old man, the self, the flesh, and sin in the flesh have been terminated.

Now we need to come before the Lord and ask Him to strengthen what He has done for us so that the church would become the kingdom of God.

Lord, strengthen what You have done for us so that in our experience the church would be enlarged from being the house of God to being the kingdom of God! May we experience the strengthening of God in the local church so that the church would be transformed from a house to a city protecting the interests of God on earth. Amen, Lord, strengthen in our experience what You have already accomplished for us. May we experience Christ in all that He is and has accomplished for the church as the dwelling place of God and as the kingdom of God!

The Influence of the Enjoyment of God will Gain the Whole Earth for God and All will Praise God

Psalm 68 concludes with a word about the gaining of the earth for God (vv. 29b-35)....The influence of the enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God....According to verse 29b, kings of the nations will bring a gift to God. Verse 31 indicates that nobles will come out of Egypt to visit Jerusalem, the city of God, and that Cush (today’s Ethiopia) will quickly stretch out its hand to God. The scenery portrayed [in verses 29b through 35] will consummate in the coming age of restoration (Matt. 19:28), in which all the earth will come to Jerusalem to worship God and to receive instruction and enlightenment (Isa. 2:2-3; Zech. 14:16-17). In this concluding verse [Psa. 68:35] the psalmist praises God and blesses Him. Witness Lee, Life-study of the Psalms, pp. 335-337Psalm 68 speaks of four major words: Christ, house, city, and earth.

We the redeemed ones of God need to enjoy Christ for the building up of His house, the church, and when our experience is strengthened, we become the kingdom of God, and the influence of the enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God.

Psa. 68:29-31 shows that, as God’s people enjoy Him and are strengthened in their experience of all that He has already accomplished, the influence of the enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God.

This is why today we need to enjoy God, for as we enjoy the Lord day by day, the influence of our enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God.

Because of God’s temple at Jerusalem, kings will bring a gift to God, and all the kingdoms of the earth are praising God (see Psa. 68:32-34). As we enjoy God, are filled with God, and experience what God has accomplished for us, the whole earth will be gained for God, being affected by our enjoyment of God.

The conclusion of this psalm is praising and blessing God, “You are awesome, o God, from Your sanctuaries. The God of Israel, He gives strength and power to the people. Blessed be God!”

This will happen in the restoration of all things; when God will restore all things and head up all things in Christ, people will come and say, Come and let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, to the house of the God of Jacob, that He may instruct us in His ways, and that we may walk in His paths (Isa. 2:2-3).

All the nations will worship God (Zech. 14:16-17), and all the nations will walk by the light of the holy city, New Jerusalem, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it (Rev. 21:24).

As we enjoy Christ as the center of God’s move on earth from His incarnation to His ascension and second coming, we will bring Him back to the earth so that we can be His bridal army and bring all things under Christ as the head, for the restoration of all things and for God to be praised on the whole earth.

We need to realise that it is not a small thing for us to enjoy God, for the influence of our enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God!

Lord Jesus, we give ourselves to enjoy God day by day – enjoy God more and more until the influence of our enjoyment of God will gain the whole earth for God and all will praise God! Amen, Lord, we praise You; we praise You for what You are and for what You have done for us. We praise You Lord and we bless You. We take the lead to enjoy God, praise God, and bless God, until the whole earth will be for God and all the nations will worship God, praise God, and bless God! Amen, Hallelujah, praise the Lord!
