God writes the Name of God, of the New Jerusalem, and His New Name on the Overcomers

He who overcomes...I will write upon him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which descends out of heaven from My God, and My new name. Rev. 3:12

The Lord is writing the name of God, the name of the city of New Jerusalem, and His new name on the overcomer, showing that the overcomers belong to God and even become God in life and nature, in a new way, for God to be expressed through the overcomers as the New Jerusalem. Hallelujah!

We all need to aspire to be the overcomers in the recovered church, that is, we need to aspire to be the Lord’s overcomers today so that He may save us from the hour of trial and bring us into the wedding feast with Himself for one thousand years.

It is the Lord’s mercy and grace that we are in the recovered church life today, but we need to cooperate with the Lord by keeping His word and not denying His name, holding fast what we have, so that He may reward us as His overcomers.

Those who overcome in the recovered church are constituted with the processed and consummated Triune God and become the New Jerusalem, the bride, the wife of the Lamb.

The governing vision in the entire Scriptures is that the Triune God is working Himself into His chosen and redeemed people in order to saturate their entire being with the Divine Trinity for the producing and building up of the Body of Christ, consummating in the New Jerusalem.

We can cooperate with the central work of God today by opening to Him and praying His economy to Him; all the aspects and stages of God’s economy can become our prayer to the Lord so that He may renew us, sanctify us, transform us, conform us, and glorify us for the Body consummating in the New Jerusalem.

The Lord is after this building, a corporate person composed of divinity and humanity mingled together; the New Jerusalem is a composition of divinity and humanity mingled, blended, and built up together as one entity.

The New Jerusalem is not merely a sign of what God wants to gain at the end nor is it something physical, like a physical city; the New Jerusalem is composed of God and man united, mingled, and incorporated together to be one entity for the corporate expression of the Triune God.

The Lord Jesus as the Bridegroom wants to return quickly for His bride, which is the church being built up to be the Body of Christ and prepared to be the bride of Christ.

We want to be the overcomers in this age to become part of the early part of the New Jerusalem, the early overcomers; the one thousand years of the millennium age is for the overcomers to feast with the Lord and reign with Him, as a precursor and foretaste of the New Jerusalem.

Hallelujah, the New Jerusalem is a person, a corporate person gained by the Lord for His corporate expression and representation in the universe!

God is Writing the Name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and the Lord’s New Name on the Overcomers!

Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make an abode with him. John 14:23The Lord’s promise to the overcomers in the recovered church, the church in Philadelphia, is that He will write upon them the name of His God, the name of the city of His God (the New Jerusalem), and His new name (Rev. 3:12). What a glorious promise!

What does this mean and how can this be applied to our experience today? When you write your name on something, this indicates ownership; you own the item that your name is on, as in writing your name on a book – that book belongs to you.

The fact that the name of the Lord, the name of the New Jerusalem, and the Lord’s new name are written upon the overcomer indicates that the overcomer is possessed by God, by the New Jerusalem, and by the Lord. Wow!

It also indicates that God Himself, His city (the New Jerusalem) and the Lord Himself all belong to him, for he has the name of God written on him.

Furthermore, these names being written on the overcomer indicates that he is one with God, he is one with the New Jerusalem, and he is one with the Lord.

Christ is writing His name, the name of New Jerusalem, and His new name on the overcomers.

Even though He is ancient, yet He has a new name, and He is ever new and ever fresh; He has a new name, and He is writing His new name upon the overcomers.

The name of God denotes God Himself, the name of the New Jerusalem denotes the city itself, and the name of the Lord denotes the Lord Himself.

This means that the overcomers are becoming God (in life and nature but not in the Godhead), they are becoming the New Jerusalem (the bride of the Lamb), and they have a new name, which only God and they know.

May the Lord shine with His bright light on this matter to show us that He is working on us and in us today so that we may experience His organic salvation, that is, experience Him in a new and fresh way, for Him to give us a new name, which only Him and us know.

As we are practicing the church life in a genuine way, being faithful and diligent as it is necessary, we are gradually becoming inwardly not only a pillar in the Triune God but even God Himself in life and nature but not in the Godhead.

That the Lord's new name is written upon the overcomer indicates that the overcomer is possessed by the Lord, that the Lord Himself belongs to him, and that he is one with the Lord. The overcomer is the possession of Christ, and he is the expression of Christ, who has transformed him with His elements. The name of the Lord denotes the Lord Himself. That the name of the Lord is written upon the overcomer indicates that the person of the Lord has been wrought into the overcomer. The overcomers' bearing the new name of Christ does not mean that Christ has a new name. It means that Christ will be experienced by these overcomers in a new way. Thus, the Christ whom they are experiencing is new to them. If we choose to take the overcoming way, we will experience Christ in a new way, and Christ will become new to us. Our Owner will be the new Christ. The Conclusion of the New Testament, msg. 412, by Witness LeeDay by day, as the outer name is decaying – and we’re aware of that – the inner man is being renewed day by day by our experience of Christ, and this results in Him inscribing us with what He is.

He is making us the same as He is, He is making us the New Jerusalem, and He is making something new, something that only He and us know, based on our experience of Christ. Amen!

That the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and the name of the Lord are written on the overcomer indicates that what God is, the nature of the New Jerusalem, and the person of the Lord, have all been wrought into the overcomer. Hallelujah!

He is making His home in our heart to make us the dwelling place of God – He makes His abode with us, we make our abode in and with Him, and we have a mutual abode for us to dwell in God and for Him to be pleased to dwell in us (John 14:19-20, 23; Eph. 3:16-17).

God is daily working Himself into our being to make us His very duplication, His reproduction, for Him to gain the New Jerusalem, the mutual dwelling place of God and man.

The mentioning of the New Jerusalem as a prize to the overcomer indicates that this promise will be fulfilled in the millennial kingdom; the New Jerusalem in the millennium will be a prize only to the overcomers.

This is what we are aiming for: to be the Lord’s overcomers in this age so that, through our experience of Him, He would write the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and His new name on us!

Lord Jesus, grant us to be Your overcomers in the recovered church today. Write Your name upon us day by day as we experience Christ as our life and our everything. We open to the inscribing of the name of the New Jerusalem upon us little by little and day by day as we enjoy and experience God as life. Amen, Lord, keep us enjoying and experiencing You so that You may be wrought into us and we would be built in God. We want to live the church life in a genuine way, being faithful and diligent to serve and minister life, and we are open to Your inscribing of Yourself into us! Work Yourself into us for the sake of the New Jerusalem. Give us the experiences we need to be possessed by God and by the New Jerusalem, and to become God and become the New Jerusalem!

Being those who Experience God, the New Jerusalem, and Christ in a New Way to be His Overcomers today

Yet a little while and the world beholds Me no longer, but you behold Me; because I live, you also shall live. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. John 14:19-20How can we have the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and a new name be inscribed upon us? It is by our experience of God, of the New Jerusalem, and of Christ in a new way so that we may be His overcomers today.

The new name that God is writing on us is according to our experiences of God; what we experience of the Lord will become us, and what we experience of the New Jerusalem will also become us.

We experience the New Jerusalem and this becomes us; we experience the New Jerusalem, and the New Jerusalem becomes us.

When we experience the Lord in an intimate and personal way, He becomes us and we become Him; in this way, we are designated by having Him write upon us His new name.

The new name shows that we have become a person who has experienced the Lord himself as the One who makes Himself us.

The fact that the name of God, of the New Jerusalem, and the new name is written on the overcomer shows that they have become the same as God, the same as the New Jerusalem, and they have new experiences of Christ in a rich and hidden way.

On one hand, the overcomers are possessed by the Lord and the Lord belongs to him, and he is one with the Lord.

On the other hand, the overcomers have become God in life and nature, and they have become the New Jerusalem to be the bride of the Lamb.

We all have Christ, but Christ may not be new to us; we may know the name of the Lord and may experience enjoying calling on His name, but our experience of Christ may be old.

But if we make the decision to be an overcomer in this age, we will have the sense that Christ is so fresh and new; we will enjoy His new compassions refreshing us every morning (Lam. 3:22-23).

The fact that the overcomers bear the new name of the Lord indicates that they are experiencing a new Lord, a new Jesus, a new Christ.

May we not be limited by our old experience of Christ. May we advance from experiencing Christ as our Redeemer to experiencing Christ as our life and everything.

We need to have new experiences of Christ...Christ is not only our Redeemer and our life; He is also our King, Prophet, Priest, light, power, righteousness, holiness, transformation, and many other things. The more we experience Christ, the newer He will be to us, and the more His name will be written upon us. First, Christ as Redeemer is written upon us. Later, Christ as life, light, humility, patience, and love will also be written upon us. His name is inexhaustible. The writing of His name upon us depends upon our experience. The more we experience Him, the longer will be the writing of this name. No one can say what the new name of Christ is because it is simply the designation of our new experience of Christ. When we experience Christ in a certain way, that aspect of Christ will become our designation, the new name written upon us. In this way our experience of Christ will be lengthened. The Conclusion of the New Testament, msg. 412, by Witness LeeMay we know Christ even more as our person, our King, Prophet, Priest, light, power, righteousness, holiness, transformation, peace, joy, and many other things.

The more we experience Christ, the more we realize He is fresh and new.

He as the Redeemer is writing His name on us, and later He as life, light, humility, patience, and love will be inscribed on us, for we experience Him as such a One.

What we are becoming is what we are experiencing today; the more we experience Christ in His wonderful and all-inclusive aspects, the more we are designated by Him writing His name upon us.

What others see in us is Christ in so many aspects; when we experience Christ in a certain aspect and in a certain way, He will become our new name written upon us.

We will eventually say, Lord, may Your will and not my will be one; may it be Your heart’s desire and not my heart’s desire.

We cooperate with the Lord to be His overcomers today by experiencing Christ in many aspects and in many ways for Him to inscribe Himself into us and make us the same as He is!

Lord Jesus, we give ourselves to experience You as our life, light, power, righteousness, holiness, and glory. Cause us to advance in our experience of Christ. Write Yourself on us as we experience You as our life and person. Amen, Lord, increase and lengthen our experience of Christ day by day until we have the name of God, the name of the New Jerusalem, and the new name of the Lord inscribed on us. Save us from having a limited experience of Christ. May our experience of Christ be new and fresh every day. Oh, may we enjoy a new Jesus every day! May we experience more and more aspects of Christ in our daily life so that we may be designated to be the same as He is, to become the New Jerusalem, and to have the new name written on us! Amen, Lord, make us Your overcomers in this age for Your interest.
