Feasting on Christ as our Sinless Life Supply and Dealing with the Manifested Sins

1 Cor. 5:8 So then let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and evil, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

After the feast of the Passover there was the feast of Unleavened Bread, which signifies Christ as our enjoyment as a our sinless life supply for us to live a sinless life as a duplication of His life.

The Passover was strictly just one day, the fourteenth day of the first month, but right after the Passover there was one weak of feasting, the Feast of Unleavened Bread. We could consider, therefore, that these two feasts are together one big feast.

The result and issue of our enjoyment of Christ’s redemption (the Passover) is living a sinless life, a duplication of the life that the Lord Jesus lived on earth.

The Feast of the Passover is a feast in three stages: first, there’s the Feast of the Passover (as a type, in the Old Testament; it took place for 1500 years or more), then there’s the feast at the Lord’s table (the replacement and continuation of the feast of the Passover), and finally, the feast in the kingdom.

When the Lord Jesus came, He died for our sins, paid the highest price for our redemption, and became the Passover for us to be redeemed and be brought into the enjoyment of God.

When we come to the Lord’s Table we should have a deep appreciation for the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus, and we should simply apply the blood of Jesus and enjoy Christ as our Passover feast.

Christ is the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world (John 1:29), and He became our Passover feast for us to enjoy God and be inwardly strengthened to get out of the usurpation of the world and fulfill God’s purpose.

When we come to the Lord’s table we should have a sensation of feasting and worshipping; we feast with the Lord and with the saints, and we worship God the Father with the worship that He desires.

The Feast of the Passover is a sign of God’s full redemption, and this full redemption is the bringing of God’s chosen people into the full enjoyment of Himself.

Because of the sacrifice of Christ, we now can believe into the Lord, we can offer Christ to God, we can apply the blood of Christ, and we can enjoy God.

We believers in Christ are the spiritual people of God who have been redeemed by God and brought back to Himself, based on the sacrifice of Christ, to enjoy God in full.

What we enjoy today at the Lord’s table, though so full of meaning and enjoyment, is just a foretaste; the fulfillment and full enjoyment of the Feast of the Passover will be in the coming kingdom, when we will feast with the Lord and He will drink of the cup anew.

Our Entire Christian Life should be a Feast; we should Feast on Christ as the Sinless Life Supply

Lev. 23:6-8 And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to Jehovah; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no work of labor. But you shall present an offering by fire to Jehovah seven days. On the seventh day there shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no work of labor. The Feast of Unleavened Bread signifies Christ, who is without sin, for our enjoyment as a feast in a life apart from sin (see Lev. 23:6-8; 2 Cor. 5:21).

The Feast of Unleavened Bread lasts for seven days, which signifies that our entire Christian life should be a feast – we should feast on Christ as our sinless life supply.

Many children of God appreciate the redemption of Christ for the deliverance from the judgement of God, and they thank the Lord for the forgiveness of sins, but not many are clear of the feast following after this – the feast of unleavened bread, living a life free of sin.

God delivers us from judgement and condemnation through instituting the Passover feast so that we may enjoy the unleavened bread, that is, so that we may enjoy Christ as the sinless life supply and live a sinless life just as the Lord Jesus did.

God wants a people who live a holy and clean life, a life free from sin, a people who know how to rejoice in the Lord. We need to not only appreciate the Lord for His redemption but be clear and experience Christ as our sinless life supply.

Since the Feast of Unleavened Bread closely followed the Feast of the Passover, these two feasts should be considered together; the first feast – the Feast of the Passover – was the beginning, and the second feast – the Feast of Unleavened Bread – was the continuation.

Based on Christ’s redemption, we need to take Christ as our sinless life supply to live a life free of sin.

How can we live a sinless life, a life free of sin? We may not even have the consciousness of sin, since in our society sin is being less and less condemned. People may think today that, since this is the twenty-first century, many things are permitted and condoned.

We live in an age of godlessness and lawlessness. We should not excuse ourselves that, in this modern age of technology, the matter of sin is blurred or condoned.

As the unleavened bread, Christ is the spiritual and divine food that makes us unleavened. The unleavened bread signifies the sinless Christ who is to be dispensed into us, His believers, as the unleavened (sinless) element. Just as the children of Israel ate the passover lamb with the unleavened bread, we should eat Christ not only as the Lamb but also as the unleavened bread. When we take Christ as our life, this life purifies us. This life is an unleavened life, a purifying life. The more we call on the name of the Lord Jesus and take Him into us, the more we are purified from within. Witness Lee, The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 3146-3147As the days become more lawless, we need to stand with God’s word which clearly says that sin is lawlessness, unrighteousness is sinful, and the current situation in today’s society is not normal.

We need to eat the Lord Jesus as the reality of the unleavened bread; He is our sinless life supply, and by eating Him we can live a sinless life on earth.

The entire course of our Christian life should be a feast of unleavened bread, a feast without sin; we should eat Christ as our sinless life supply and we will live a sinless life, a duplication of the life of Jesus.

We thank the Lord that He has redeemed us from sin, and now He as our Redeemer is the feast for our entire life. We all should be enjoying rest, enjoying God, and enjoying our Redeemer, apart from sin, for our entire life!

Enjoying Christ as our Passover leads us into living a sinless life just like our Lord Jesus did.

May we not offend or mock God by doing the things that are morally acceptable in today’s society, things that are pleasing to people or approved by the society; may we stand one with God in His word to recognise sin as sin, condemn sin, and eat Christ as our sinless life supply.

Lord Jesus, may our entire Christian life be a feasting on Christ as our sinless life supply. Thank You for redeeming us, Lord, and opening the way for us to enter in and enjoy You as our living bread without sin. Shine on us, Lord, and expose any sin. We want to take You as our sinless life supply so that we may live out a duplication of Your life. Amen, Lord, keep us feasting on You daily, based on Your redemption, until our life becomes a duplication of Your sinless life on earth.

As we Enjoy Christ as our Sinless Life Supply we Deal with Sins that are Manifested

The Feast of Unleavened Bread lasting for seven days signifies the entire course of our Christian life. The course of our Christian life is a feast of unleavened bread, a feast without sin. We have been redeemed from sin, and now the Redeemer, who is without sin, is the feast for our entire life. We should be enjoying rest, enjoying God, and enjoying our Redeemer, apart from sin, for our entire life. Witness Lee, Truth Lessons—Level Three, vol. 2, pp. 82-83For us in the New Testament to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread (Deut. 16:1-8) typifies the purging away of all sinful things through the enjoyment of Christ as the sinless life supply (Exo. 23:15).

During the feast of unleavened bread no leaven was to be seen with the children of Israel; this signifies that we as believers in Christ must deal with the sin of which we are conscious, the sin that the Lord’s light exposes (see Exo. 13:7; 12:19; 1 Cor. 5:7a; Heb. 12:1-2a).

God doesn’t expect us to deal with ALL our sins; He wants to deal with the sins that He exposes, the sins He brings into our consciousness. We must purge away all the sinful things through the enjoyment of Christ as our sinless life supply.

The enemy’s tactic is to cover up or erode our consciousness toward sin, but the Lord wants that we agree with His light, confess the sin that is manifested, and deal with it.

Every day we need to come to the Lord and ask Him to bring us in His light; only in His light we can see light.

It is not according to man’s feeling or thought, it is not according to man’s introspection to find out what his fault is, but it is in God’s light that we really see light, and we can take Christ as our sinless life supply and live a sinless life.

In the Lord’s light our wrongdoings and trespasses are exposed, confessed, and dealt with; this is to deal with the manifested sin. To deal with the manifested sin is to keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread.

However, if we tolerate sin once it is exposed, we will lose the enjoyment of the fellowship of God’s people (see Exo. 12:19; 1 Cor. 5:13).

If the Lord exposes our sin and we do not deal with it by confessing it and taking Christ as our sinless life supply, our fellowship with the Lord is interrupted, and our fellowship with God’s people will be cut off.

If we don’t take care of the sins brought to our consciousness, our fellowship with God and His people will be cut off, there will be insulation, and we will enjoy the Lord more.

If we ignore our conscience, which shows what God approves and what He disapproves, if we suppress the sense of our conscience, we become numb, we are brought to a state where we lose the enjoyment of the fellowship of God’s people, and our fellowship with God is interrupted.

Christ is our unleavened bread, our sinless life supply of sincerity and truth; He is absolutely pure, without mixture, and full of reality (1 Cor. 5:7-8).

We have to purge away the old leaven and be a new lump, even as Christ is unleavened; we should keep the feast not with the old leaven of malice and evil but with the unleavened bread of truth and sincerity.

Sincerity is not just being sincere but it is a virtue of God; Paul conducted himself in the singleness and sincerity of God. Sincerity is a virtue of God as the revealed divine reality wrought into God’s people to become their genuineness and sincerity.

Such sincerity has nothing to do with playing politics, the exercise of fleshly wisdom, pretence, or falsehood. The only way for us to eliminate sin is to daily eat Christ as the crucified, resurrected, and sinless life, as signified by the unleavened bread.

The unleavened bread signifies the sinless Christ who is to be dispensed into us – His believers – as the unleavened (sinless) element; as the unleavened bread, Christ is the spiritual and divine food that makes us unleavened.

Reality is in Jesus; as we eat Him, He as the sinless life supply is infused into us, and His life becomes ours. When we take Christ as our life – as unleavened life, a purifying life – this life purifies us (Col. 3:4; John 6:48, 57, 63).

Lord Jesus, we want to purge away all sinful things by enjoying You as the sinless life supply today. We open to You, Lord, to receive the dispensing of Your sinless life into us. Only You as the spiritual and divine food can make us unleavened. We take You as our life, Lord, so that Your life may purify us. Keep us eating You and feasting on You until we conduct ourselves in the singleness and sincerity of God. Work Yourself into us, Lord, and expose any sin, so that we may deal with sin, purge sin, and eliminate sin by enjoying Christ as the sinless life supply!
