For us to experience the golden lampstands as the shining expression of Jesus, we must be filled with the Spirit of Jesus by calling on the Lord’s name, accept the “beating work” of the Spirit in the environment, know Christ as the One walking among the lampstands, and be under His shining to express His shining today.
Lord Jesus, fill us with the Spirit of Jesus today! We call on Your name, Lord Jesus, and we want to be filled with the Spirit to the brim! We open to Your inner working and constituting, and we open to the circumstantial environment You arrange for us so that we may be built into Your golden, shining testimony! Amen, Lord, work in us and work Yourself into us through all things so that we may be part of Your testimony on the earth today! Amen!
Christ is the faithful Witness of God, and as we enjoy and experience Him as such a One, we become the testimony of Jesus. He makes us His testimony, His reproduction and duplication, the golden lampstand to express Him.
On the one hand, the golden lampstand is a type of the Triune God, for the substance of the golden lampstand typifies God the Father, the shape signifies the Son as the embodiment of Father, and the lamps typify the sevenfold intensified Spirit.
The lampstand shows us the significance of the Triune God. In Revelation 1, however, the seven golden lampstands represent or typify the local churches.
The Triune God is being reproduced and multiplied in the local churches, the testimony of Jesus.
The fact that we are told there are seven golden lampstands, with no difference between them in their essence, substance, nature, and shining, shows us that all the local churches should be and are the same in their nature and their expression.
We should not try to be different from others; we should simply enjoy Christ, partake of His riches, be filled in spirit, and express Christ both personally and corporately.
As we enjoy and experience the Triune God dispensing Himself into us, we become the testimony of Jesus, the expression of the Triune God on the earth.
As we exercise our spirit to enjoy Christ as the Spirit, we become the reproduction of Christ, shining Christ forth today.
The church is simply the Triune God embodied and expressed in humanity; today we are in the local churches, the testimony of Jesus.
Experience the Golden Lampstands as the Testimony of Jesus by being Filled with the Spirit of Jesus by Calling on the Name of Jesus Continually

In order for us to experience the golden lampstands as the testimony of Jesus, we must be filled with the Spirit of Jesus (Acts 16:7) by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus continually (1 Cor. 12:3, 13; Rom. 10:12-13; Lam. 3:55-56).
We need to not only know what the golden lampstands represent but even more, experience the golden lampstands in our Christian life and church life.
The golden lampstands are the corporate expression of Jesus, the testimony of Jesus. For us to experience the golden lampstands, we need to call on the name of the Lord Jesus. Oh Lord Jesus!
We need to be filled with the Lord to such an extent that the Spirit of Jesus does not allow us to do certain things and leads us to particular places.
To be the testimony of Jesus, we need to be filled with the Spirit of Jesus, the God-man.
As we are filled with the Spirit by calling on the name of the Lord continually, we will obey the Spirit and follow the Spirit; we as sons of God are those who are led by the Spirit.
We may be at a critical juncture in our Christian life and we may need the Lord’s leading; we need to simply be filled with the Spirit of Jesus by calling on the Lord’s name continually, and we will have the Lord’s leading.
We may be before the Lord concerning our serving in the church, our life of service in the church life, and we wonder what we should do or serve; we need to simply be filled with the Spirit and obey and be led by this Spirit.
Sometimes we may be in the prayer meeting of the church or in a home meeting, but we may feel like a flat tyre, having no air and not being able to function properly.
No matter how much others encourage us to function and share something, we are simply deflated, for we are not filled with the heavenly pneuma.
Instead of trying harder or just praying from our mind, we should simply call on the name of the Lord Jesus to be filled with the Spirit of Jesus.
Calling on the Lord is the greatest practice in the Christian life, for when we call on the name of Jesus, we are filled with the Lord! The Lord is so rich to all who call on His name (Rom. 10:12-13).
He saves us by calling on His name (Acts 2:21). We should have a mark on us that we are Christians by calling on the name of the Lord at all times and in every place.
Not only when we’re in a low pit or dungeon should we call on the Lord to be saved and breathe Him in, but all the time, throughout the day.
When we feel depressed and are low, we need to call on the Lord. When we wash the dishes, take out the trash, feed the children, change the diapers, go shopping, walk on the street, or rest, we should call on the name of the Lord Jesus. Oh Lord Jesus!
The more we call on the name of Jesus, the more we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus, and this will strengthen and enable us to bear the brands of Jesus (Gal. 6:17).
We can participate in the Lord’s sufferings, in the affliction of Jesus, even bear about in the body the putting to death of Jesus, because we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus.
We can go through all kinds of suffering for the sake of Jesus because we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus; this makes us the testimony of Jesus.
Paul bore the brands of Jesus; he laboured more abundantly in stripes, often beaten with rods, being stoned, once shipwrecked in the sea, in hunger, in thirst, in cold, in nakedness.
As we are filled with the Spirit of Jesus, we become the testimony of Jesus and we are fellow partakers in the tribulation, kingdom, and endurance in Jesus (Rev. 1:9-10).
This works out endurance in us, and we express the Lord as the testimony of Jesus.
Lord Jesus, we want to experience the golden lampstands as the testimony of Jesus by being filled with the Spirit of Jesus! Hallelujah, the local churches today are the corporate expression of Jesus, and we can be part of this expression by being filled with the Spirit of Jesus! Amen, Lord, fill us today! We call on Your name to be filled with the Spirit! Oh Lord Jesus! Amen, Lord, keep us calling on Your name throughout the day. May we call on Your name when we are in a low pit and also when we are happy! May we call on Your name at all time so that we may be filled with the Spirit of Jesus and be able to bear the brands of Jesus! Amen, Lord, keep us in our spirit, enjoying all Your riches and partaking of what You are so that we may partake in the tribulation, kingdom, and endurance in Jesus! Work in us what You need, Lord, as we seek to be filled in spirit!
Participate in Christ’s Sufferings and Gain a Constitution of Christ as we go through Sufferings – Experience the Beaten Work of the Golden Lampstand

In Exodus 25:31 and 36 we are told that the way the gold is made into a lampstand is through the work of beating; the lampstand with its base and its shaft shall be made of beaten work, all of it one beaten work of pure gold. This is very significant. The beating of the gold to form a stand signifies the believers’ participation in Christ’s sufferings (Col. 1:24).
For us to experience the golden lampstands we need to realise that everything that goes on in our environment is for the producing of the beaten lampstand.
The way the lampstand was shaped was through beating the gold. This means that, for the producing of the lampstand, we need some sufferings, even to participate in Christ’s sufferings.
This doesn’t mean that we should discourage the young ones saying that suffering awaits them, nor does this mean that we should seek suffering or ask for suffering.
Suffering will come. We don’t pray for suffering. For us to be shaped and formed into the golden lampstand, suffering is necessary.
Suffering is both personal, in our personal life, and corporate, in our being built together; on the one hand, we are suffering in our personal life, and on the other hand, we are “beaten” together with others to become part of the lampstand. This is what we are experiencing today.
When Christ was on earth, He experienced much suffering, much “beating”, and He shined brightly for God. Through His sufferings, Christ expressed God’s glory.
If we are short of sufferings, if we try to avoid sufferings and we don’t open to the Lord in our sufferings, our light may not shine brightly.
We shouldn’t seek suffering; however, as suffering comes, may we open to the Lord to work Himself into us and constitute us into His shining testimony.
If our husband, wife, or children are always nice to us, we may not have that much shining; but if we face difficulties in our family life, these difficulties can help us to shine.
In all the dealings we face, we need to see the Lord’s hand; it is not our boss, our spouse, our neighbours, our children, or those around us who are mean to us and treat us harshly but it is the Holy Spirit working.
The Lord is constituting, carving, and molding us. The Holy Spirit is working to constitute us through the experience of all the circumstances around us.
May we open to the Holy Spirit’s discipline so that we may be constituted with more of God for the shining of the golden lampstand.
For us to be transformed and built up into the shining golden lampstand, we need God’s work in our environment.
He works to dispense His dear self into us, to add Himself as the substance and element in us, so that we can partake of His divine nature. And He is also working to refine us, transform us, even conform us to His image (2 Cor. 3:18).
Sometimes we feel as if the Lord is using a hammer to beat us and make the lampstand; this is the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings.
Everything that goes on around us and in us for the producing of the beaten lampstands.
Many times we think it is Satan who does this and that, and we’re ready to bind Satan so that we may get out of a particular situation. However, we need to not reject the transforming work of God.
If we set our mind on knowing God by submitting to the inward working of the Spirit and to the outward environment, every circumstance will become an opportunity for us to know Him (see Hosea 6:1-3; Phil. 3:10a; Eph. 6:20; cf. Gen. 41:42).
May we have such a mind today. May we be more desperate to call on the name of the Lord and partake of His riches, and may we have the mind to suffer.
When certain things happen in our life, may we know that God wants us to really know Him in those circumstances.
If we don’t know God in our lifetime, we have wasted our whole life; may the Lord make us willing to accept His dealings in our circumstances so that we may know Him more (2 Cor. 4:16-18; 12:7-9; Isa. 7:14-15; 2 Cor. 5:14-15).
It is a wasted day if we do not know the Lord through all the situations in our daily living; may the Lord make us willing to accept His dealings.
The crux of the matter is whether or not we encounter the Lord as the great light in the midst of our trials and difficulties (1:8-9; Eph. 1:17; Luke 1:78-79).
As we go through suffering, we can understand what we otherwise could not understand.
May we open to the Lord from deep within as we go through trials, sufferings, and difficulties, and may we allow Him to work in us, even to constitute us more with Himself so that we may be part of the beaten work of the lampstand.
Lord Jesus, we open to You today. Make us part of the golden lampstand, even the beaten work of the lampstand, so that You may shine in us and through us. May we realise that everything that goes on in our environment is for the producing of the beaten lampstand for the testimony of Jesus! Amen, Lord, we set our mind on knowing You. We submit to the inward working of the Spirit and to the outward environment so that we may gain more of God and be constituted with God in all our circumstances. Oh Lord, may every circumstance be an opportunity for us to know God and gain God! May we know God in our lifetime and may we accept the dealings through the environment. Oh Lord, gain what You are after in us. Save us from wasting our days and our years by not accepting Your dealings and not gaining more of Christ in all our situations. Oh Lord, may we encounter You as the great light in the midst of our difficulties and trials. May we gain more of God and may we become part of the golden lampstand of beaten work for the testimony of Jesus!
See the Vision of the Glorious Christ as the Son of Man and Receive His Shining to Shine Him forth as the Golden Lampstands

The shining of the golden lampstands is so that people may see the vision of the glorious Christ as the Son of Man walking in their midst (Rev. 1:12-18; 2:1).
By knowing the Lord in the midst of the churches as the One who is living forever and ever, we can be assured of His presence in our spirit all the time, for He lives always to intercede for us, and He appears now before the face of God for us (2 Tim. 4:22; Heb. 7:25; 9:24; Num. 6:22-27; Deut. 31:6).
He will never fail us, leave us, or forsake us. Christ is the Son of Man walking among the golden lampstands; He intercedes for us, He cares for us, and He always lives to intercede.
He trims the lampstands to render more shining. He wants to make the golden lampstands shining forth the testimony of Jesus, and He wants to be testified through us.
The shining of the seven lamps of the golden lampstands, the Lord Jesus walking in their midst with His seven eyes like a flame of fire, His feet like shining bronze, and the shining of His face as the sun indicate that we need more and more of the Lord’s shining day by day in our daily life and church life for more and more of His shepherding – saving, restoring, reviving, and deifying (Rev. 1:14b-15a, 16b; 4:5; 5:6; Luke 1:78-79; 2 Cor. 4:6-7; Mal. 4:2; Prov. 4:18; Psa. 22, title; 80:1-3, 7, 15-19). Wow, Amen!
We testify the Son of Man; He is walking in the midst of the local churches. He is dealing with us. In the Gospels, He was the Lamb of God, but today He has seven eyes, the seven lamps of fire, and He shines, infuses, and burns in us.
We need to remain under His shining. We need to receive and welcome His shining. May we open to His enlightening day by day.
May we open to His shepherding. He is the High Priest interceding for us and ministering God to us. May we open to His work of saving us and perfecting us.
May we let the Lord’s living light scatter all our night and everything make bright.
As we let Him shine in us and on us, He is saving us, restoring us, reviving us, and He is also making us the same as He is! He is making us shining like Him, for we will shine Him forth as the golden lampstands. May we bring this to the Lord in prayer and tell Him,
Lord Jesus, grant us to see the vision of the glorious Christ as the Son of Man walking in the midst of the golden lampstands. May we know the Lord in the midst of the churches as the One who is living forever and ever! Amen, Lord, we thank You for Your presence with us all the time; You are in our spirit and we are one spirit with You. Thank You for always living to intercede for us. Thank You for appearing now before the face of God! Thank You for never failing us nor forsaking us! We open to Your interceding. We open to Your shining. Look at us, look into us, shine on us, and expose anything that needs to be dealt with and removed. May we allow You to shine on us and into us so that we may be saved, restored, revived, and deified to be made shining like You! Amen, Lord, gain us as the golden lampstands shining as the testimony of Jesus today!

- Hymns on this topic:
– His appearance, lo, how different / From the One John knew before. / Now He’s girt in golden raiment, / Not the robe which then He wore. / Girt about the breasts and serving, / He the priesthood fully bears; / Cherishing the lampstands dearly, / He for all the churches cares. (Hymns #1183 stanza 2)
– It’s by our mingled spirit, Lord, / That we can shine with Thee, / And be a golden lampstand now / For all the world to see. / It’s not by forms or rituals, / Mere Christianity; / It’s by our Christ enjoyed as life / We all can shine with Thee. (Hymns #1262 stanza 1)
– In spirit hear His trumpet voice; / We must be turned to see His choice—vThe seven lampstands golden fair; / The Son of Man is walking there. / The great high priestly robe He wears, / For every church He fully cares: / He trims the lamp, the oil supplies; / He makes them burn, flames in His eyes. (Hymns #1184 stanzas 2-3)

Dear brother, the building work of the lampstand is a beaten work, and for us to experience the lampstand we need to be filled with the Spirit.
May we not be like a flat tyre but rather, may we call on the name of the Lord continually to be filled with the Spirit!
And may we learn to accept the “beating work” of the Spirit through the environment so that we may gain more of Christ for the shining golden lampstand!
The crux of the matter is whether or not we encounter the Lord as the great light in the midst of difficulties and trials.
For the testimony of Jesus as the golden lampstand, our need is to be filled with the Spirit of Jesus by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus continually.
Thus, we may bear the brands of Jesus as His brothers and fellow partakers in the tribulation, kingdom, and endurance in Him, even as we encounter a contrary environment along the way!
Through all the sufferings and disciplines, may we be encouraged to see the Lord’s hand in them. We’ll surely be reconstituted for His purpose, filled with the 7-fold intensified Spirit to express Christ’s testimony and God’s glory!
Oh, how we need more of a vision to see His shepherding, His intercessions for our shining in the dark night of the world as He walks amongst the churches, His golden lampstands!
Amen Lord, gain all You need in us!
Even though we have the life & nature of Christ, we still need to be filled with the sevenfold Spirit each day. It’s a great blessing to see this truth and to act upon it.
The Lord needs a people who are willing to be beaten & buffeted into lamps of “pure gold” who will shine forth the light of God.
We must be willing to take Christ’s way and endure sufferings for the expression of God’s glory.
Our sufferings & discipline have a definite purpose: to shine.
May we submit to the way of the Spirit’s discipline for the glory of God.
The lampstand is the significance of the Triune God- the Father, as gold is the substance, the Son as the stand is the embodiment, and the Spirit as the lamps is the expression. The divine Trinity is for dispensing into humanity issuing in the church.
The church as the lampstand is the embodiment of Christ and the reproduction of the Spirit. The more Spirit, the more church and the more testimony of Jesus.
The church as the lampstand is the embodiment of Christ and the reproduction of the Spirit. The more Spirit, the more church and the more testimony of Jesus.
We see that the lampstand is of gold of one beaten work but to be the expression of God we need to be filled with the sevenfold intensified Spirit, otherwise, in the meetings of the church, including the prayer meeting, we will be like a flat tyre.
