We don’t really know HOW TO serve the young people, but at least we can give ourselves to the Lord for His interest and heart’s desire. We want to allow Him to first serve us, minister to us, and then also allow Him to serve the young ones through us. Below is brother Celdrick’s testimony from what he enjoyed in the past Winter School of the Truth (his first time as a serving one).
All Scriptures is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, fully equipped for every good work (2 Tim 3:16-17).
As Christians who live in this crooked and perverted age we must be equipped with the word of God to protect us from the attack of the enemy in our school through different means such as outward things, science, philosophy, etc. In order to be equipped with the Word of God, we need to come daily to His Word, the Bible. Many times we think we just need to use our spirit when we read the Bible, but in the winter school this year we were reminded again that we also need to train our mind so that we can understand the Word of the God and we need to exercise our spirit in order to touch God. We need to do this because the Bible is the embodiment and the place where we can find God as the Spirit. Thus, we can touch God through His Word and God can do everything in us through His Word.
When we come to read the Bible, we need to know what God’s heart’s desire is. You would think that the Bible is a book that is really difficult to understand. But remember – it is pointless if God would write a book that is understood by no one! Hallelujah! We have a Bible that is open to us. With the help of the footnotes and the additional helps from the books of the Life Study, we will have more constitution of the truth and this will help deepen our experience. We could just simply come to the Lord’s Word and pray-read the word of God to receive Him into us.
The central thought of the Bible reveals what God’s heart desire is, which is Christ and the Church! We have to see the goal of our human life is not that awe may gain what we want and then wait for death to come upon us. This is so meaningless. Our goal is the church. Out of billions of people on the earth, you have been chosen and had been placed in that locality according to God’s purpose. He wants to have a dwelling place, an expression, and – just like us – He desires a counterpart, a Bride. We want to be the bride of Christ, the overcoming ones today! We need to go and disciple all the nations and built up the church – the Body of Christ – to consummate this age and bring in the New Jerusalem!
What a mercy that a Bible is open to us! We become dwelling place fo GOD! AMEN now we need to go and disciple all the nations and built up the church – the Body of Christ – to consummate this age and bring in the New Jerusalem:)
