Enjoy Christ as the Supreme Preciousness of God to become Men of Preciousness to God

...if you bring out the precious from the worthless, / You will be as My mouth... Jer. 15:19

We need to redeem the time to enjoy Christ as the supreme preciousness of God so that we can be constituted with Him to be men of preciousness, even preciousness itself, to be His personal treasure, the New Jerusalem as a miraculous structure of treasure for God’s glory for eternity!

Amen! Our Christ is the most precious One.

To God, He is the most precious One. To us, He is not yet that precious.

So we need to come to Him again and again to just enjoy Him.

We need to contact the Lord in spirit and receive a revelation of the preciousness of Christ.

When we touch the Lord, when we contact Him, we sense how precious He is.

We simply sense that He is so wonderful, so sweet, and so precious.

Actually, the more we enjoy the Lord, the more we contact Him, and the more we sense His preciousness. We even realize that He is the supremely precious One.

Throughout the ages, so many have met the Lord and seen His preciousness, and they were willing to give up their high positions, golden futures, and even their precious life for the Lord.

They have seen His preciousness, and to them it was so normal and even natural to give up their all so that they may gain Christ and magnify Him.

Mary was such a person; she saw the Lord’s supreme preciousness, and she wanted to waste all that she had on Him.

To those around Him, what she did by breaking the alabaster flask and pouring the precious ointment on the Lord was a waste, but to her, this was the honest testimony of her tasting of His preciousness.

Paul was also a person who saw the supreme preciousness of Christ, and the more he saw it, the more he considered all other things as loss on account of Christ.

He was such a smart person but he saw something even more precious than the law, traditions, and ordinances from God to the Jewish people: he saw the supreme preciousness of Christ, and he paid the highest price to have this preciousness infused into him by spending time with the Lord.

Now we all as believers in Christ can enjoy the benefit of Paul’s portion as one who was filled with the preciousness of Christ, for he wrote and flowed out so much concerning the supreme preciousness of Christ.

We can see the Lord’s preciousness only in our spirit; we need to contact Him in spirit and exercise our spirit to see His preciousness.

Seeing the Supremely Precious Christ and the Precious Items organically Related to Him in Peter’s Epistles

Coming to Him, a living stone, rejected by men but with God chosen [and] precious...Behold, I lay in Zion a cornerstone, chosen [and] precious; and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame. To you therefore who believe is the preciousness; but to the unbelieving... 1 Pet. 2:4, 6-7 Knowing that [it was] not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, [that] you were redeemed from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers, But with precious blood, as of a Lamb without blemish and without spot, [the blood] of Christ. 1 Pet. 1:18-19Peter speaks in his Epistles about the supremely precious Christ and the items organically related to Him. First of all, Christ Himself is the preciousness to His believers (1 Pet. 2:7).

Christ is the supremely precious One; He is preciousness itself.

We need to see the supreme preciousness of Christ and enjoy this precious One.

Christ is not only precious: He is preciousness itself.

In English, when you speak of preciousness, you need to mention the subject; when it relates to Christ, He is preciousness itself.

Christ is the precious stone for God’s building (vv. 4, 6-8).

He is the Builder of the church as the building of God, and He is the precious stone for God’s building.

And by coming to Him a precious stone, we ourselves become living stones, even precious stones.

The more we enjoy Christ and come to Him as we are, the more the supreme preciousness of Christ is infused into us to make us precious stones for His building.

We have been redeemed from our vain manner of life by the precious blood of Christ (1 Pet. 1:14, 18-19).

Christ not only shed His blood for our redemption; His blood is a precious blood, and we have been redeemed by the precious blood of Christ.

We have been redeemed from our vain manner of life by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Every day we can apply the Lord’s precious blood and be redeemed and saved from our vain manner of life.

The precious and exceedingly great promises of God have been granted to us by our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (2 Pet. 1:1, 4).

When we come to the Word of God, we enjoy the precious and exceedingly great promises of God.

Every word in the Bible is precious and it is an exceedingly great promise to us.

We can take God’s promises, stand on them, speak them, and ask God to fulfil them in us and in our life.

May we be those who enjoy the precious and exceedingly great promises of God which have been granted to us!

God has allotted to all the believers equally precious faith (v. 1).

Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have been allotted faith equally precious as ours in the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 2 Pet. 1:1 Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption which is in the world by lust. 2 Pet. 1:4Our faith is precious. Many people do not have faith, and there is not much preciousness in them; however, we believers in Christ are precious because we have faith, which is precious.

In quality, our faith is equally precious; in quantity, our faith may not be as large as others, but the quality of faith is the same – it is precious!

Finally, the precious proving of our faith is by trials that come through sufferings (1 Pet. 1:7).

All men go through trials, and problems and suffering is the portion of all human beings.

But we as believers in Christ have a precious faith, and even the proving of our faith is precious.

When we take a test in school or university we may not treasure the exam but we may love the result.

In our spiritual life, however, the proving of our faith is precious, and this proving of our faith is by trials that come through suffering.

Everything related to us and our experience of Christ, the supremely precious One, is precious, for we enjoy Christ as preciousness itself and the precious stone, we enjoy the precious blood of Christ, the precious and exceedingly great promises, the equally precious faith, and the previous proving of our faith.

Lord Jesus, grant us to see Your supreme preciousness. May we see the supremely precious Christ and enjoy Him day by day. Lord, You are preciousness itself to us. You are the precious stone for God’s building, and we can come to You to become living stones becoming precious stones for the building of God. Hallelujah, we can enjoy the precious and exceedingly great promises of God which He has granted to us! We stand on Your word, Lord, and we say Amen to Your word. Thank You for the equally precious faith allotted to us and to all the believers in Christ. May we realize that the proving of our faith by trials and sufferings is precious. Lord, keep us enjoying You as the supremely precious Christ until we become men of preciousness!

Redeem the Time to Enjoy Christ as the Supreme Preciousness of God to become Men of Preciousness as God’s Personal Treasure

But what things were gains to me, these I have counted as loss on account of Christ. But moreover I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord... Phil. 3:7-8

May the Lord unveil us to see and enjoy Christ as the supreme preciousness of God so that we may be constituted with Him to be men of preciousness (Dan. 9:23; 10:11, 19).

When we see the supreme preciousness of Christ, we will pay the price to redeem the time to enjoy Him and be constituted with Him.

The result will be that we will become men of preciousness, those constituted with Christ as the supreme preciousness of God.

We will become preciousness itself as God’s personal treasure for us to become the New Jerusalem as a miraculous structure of treasure for His glory.

Daniel was a man of preciousness, for he spent much time in God’s presence, praying for what was on God’s heart concerning His people.

...I have come to tell [you,] for you are preciousness itself...Dan. 9:23 And he said to me, Daniel, man of preciousness... Dan. 10:11, 19; But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not out of us. 2 Cor. 4:7 Whom having not seen, you love; into whom though not seeing [Him] at present, yet believing, you exult with joy [that is] unspeakable and full of glory. 1 Pet. 1:8May we ask the Lord to grant us the light to have a thorough change in our concept of value so that we may continually Christ and all that He is as our super-excelling portion (Mark 9:7-8; Phil. 3:7-8; 2 Cor. 2:10; 4:7; 1 Pet. 1:8).

The apostle Paul had a thorough change in his concept of value.

What things used to be gains to him, he counted as loss on account of Christ; he saw that Christ is the supreme preciousness of God, and he counted all things as loss on account of Christ.

He saw the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, his Lord, and he gave up all other things so that he may gain Christ and be found in Him.

Paul reckoned Christ, the One enthroned and anointed by God, to be the most excellent One.

For His sake, he was willing to suffer the loss of all things so that he may gain Christ.

We need to have such a change in our concept of value so that we may bring out the precious from the worthless (Jer. 15:19).

May the Lord grant us the light and be merciful on us so that we may have a thorough change in our concept of value as Paul did, so that we may choose Christ as the most excellent One.

When we minister the word of God, we need to take heed to Jeremiah’s admonition, “If you bring out the precious from the worthless, You will be as My mouth” (Jer. 15:19, 16).

May we treasure the words of the Lord more precious than all the earthly riches so that we can speak the oracles of God to dispense the unsearchable riches of Christ as the varied grace of God into His people (Psa. 119:72, 9-16; Eph. 3:2, 8; 2 Cor. 6:10; 1 Pet. 4:10-11).

The Lord’s words are precious, tried by fire, and excellent; we need to redeem the price to enjoy the supreme preciousness of God – Christ – in His word so that we may dispense Him into others also.

Paul testified concerning his apostleship that was made sorrowful, but he was always rejoicing, as poor, yet enriching many.

This is a paradox: on one hand, his earthen vessel was made sorrowful, but because he enjoyed the supreme preciousness of Christ, he was always rejoicing.

On one hand, his earthen vessel was poor, but because he was filled with Christ as his preciousness, he made others rich by dispensing the unsearchable riches of Christ as the varied grace of God into others.

This should be our testimony also.

We need a vision to see that the New Jerusalem is the Triune God, the Divine Trinity, as three basic factors wrought into and structured together with His redeemed as the conclusion of the whole Bible (Rev. 21:18-21).

And the building work of its wall was jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone: the first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each one of the gates was, respectively, of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. Rev. 21:18-21What we see in the New Jerusalem, the consummation of God’s work and processes in and with humanity, is a miraculous structure of treasure constituted with God and man.

The gold as the base of the city typifies God the Father, the pearls as the gates of the city typify God the Son, and the jasper wall of the city typifies God the Spirit.

Even more, we can experience and enjoy the Triune God in all these aspects so that we may be constituted with the Triune God and become an intrinsic part of the New Jerusalem.

As we live in Christ’s precious and present presence, enjoying Him as our portion, even as He enjoys us as His treasure, He builds Himself into us to make us His spiritual house and His holy and royal priesthood for the accomplishment of His heart’s desire (1 Pet. 2:1-9; 3:4; 2 Cor. 2:10; Psa. 16:5; Exo. 19:4-6; 2 Pet. 3:8, 11-12).

May we daily live in the Lord’s precious presence to enjoy Him as our portion.

We enjoy Him as our portion and He enjoys us as His treasure.

In this way, He builds us into Himself and He builds Himself into us to make us His spiritual house and His holy and royal priesthood.

This is for God to gain what He is after, His heart’s desire, the mutual building of God and man consummating in the New Jerusalem as a miraculous structure of treasure.

Christ as the supreme preciousness of God is wrought into man, and man becomes preciousness itself, one with Christ as the very precious element wrought into them. Hallelujah!

Lord Jesus, we want to redeem the time to enjoy Christ as the supreme preciousness of God day by day. Fill us with Yourself as the preciousness of God and constitute us to be men of preciousness, even preciousness itself. Lord, You are our treasure; You are the treasure in our earthen vessel. Make us Your treasure to become the New Jerusalem as a miraculous structure of treasure for Your glory! Oh Lord, grant us the light to have a thorough change in our concept of value so that we will continually choose Christ as the most precious one! Lord, You are our super-excelling portion. We want to bring out the precious from the worthless; we choose You as our preciousness! Keep us living in Your precious and present presence, enjoying You as our portion, even as You enjoy us as Your treasure. Build Yourself into us and make us Your spiritual house and Your holy and royal priesthood for the accomplishment of Your heart’s desire!

    – Ere we depart, we praise Thee, Lord, again / For Thy dear presence and Thy living word; / We are attracted by Thy preciousness, / Our hearts incline to Thee through what we’ve heard. / Thy word is spirit and is life to us, / By it we’re nourished, growing, Lord, in Thee; / Thus to Thine image we may be transformed, / With Thy full measure to maturity. (Hymns #869, stanzas 1-2)
    – Dear Beloved, we admire Thee, / Who can tell Thy preciousness; / All Thy love we deeply treasure / And Thine untold loveliness. / Thou art fairer than the fairest, / Thou art sweeter than the sweet; / Thou art meek and Thou art gracious, / None can e’er with Thee compete. (Hymns #170 stanzas 2-3)
    – But Christ as life would so transform the saints / That they may be as pearl and precious stone, / As the materials suitable to build / Into His Church to make His Kingdom known. / Such an assembly grown in Christ as life, / Transformed and built with Christ in them annealed, / Is as the goodly pearl for preciousness / And as the treasure hidden in the field. (Hymns #829 stanzas 6-7)

[In Philippians 3:7-8] we see that Paul…had a change in his concept of value. What things were gains to him, these he counted as loss on account of Christ. Why was Paul able to reject the things that were gains to him? He was able to consider them as loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus. Paul reckoned the Christ whom God had anointed as Lord, as King, and as the most excellent One. For His sake he suffered the loss of all things and counted them as refuse. This is the kind of change in valuation that happens to a Christian… If we cannot tell the proper value of things, God will reject us and cast us aside. He requires that we bring out the precious from the worthless so that we can be His mouth [Jer. 15:19]…May the Lord grant us the light to have a thorough change in our concept of value so that we will know to choose the most excellent portion.

The redemptive work of God the Son is all-inclusive. His desire is for us to stay in His death so that He might secrete His “life-juice” over us. This is the life-secreting work of Christ. Because this work is hard for us to realize, we need such an allegory. Without this allegory we would not be able to see that Christ’s resurrection life is actually the divine life element secreted over us to make us pearls. If we check with our experience, we will be able to understand more fully Christ’s secreting work…It may be that a certain young brother feels that his father is wrong in a certain matter. He may feel that he needs to complain or rebel, but if he does this, he is running away from the death of Christ. However, if this brother stays under the cross in the death of Christ and says, “Lord, I praise You that You have kept me in Your death; I praise You that I am now residing in Your all-inclusive death,” immediately something within him will be secreting around his inner being, and he will sense the inner supply. As he experiences this inner secretion time after time, he will become a pearl more and more. This is the secretion of the resurrected Christ in His resurrection life.

Amen, dear brother, the death of Christ us our home, where we should remain, so that His resurrection power would be secreted to produce us as a precious pearl.

May our system of value change so that we may treasure what God treasures and bring out the precious from the worthless.

Lord Jesus, no matter what happens, keep us in Your death so that Your resurrection life may be secreted over us to produce us as a pearl, a precious material for the building up of the New Jerusalem!

As believers we must have, like Paul, a thorough change in our concept of value.

We must bring out the precious from the worthless.

We must treasure the Lord’s words more than earthly riches, redeeming the time, appreciating Him as the excellent one, even preciousness itself so that we too become precious to God.

O Lord Jesus grant us the light to choose You, Your word that we might gain You and not be consumed with our life and living on the earth! Do this for Your glory and honour! And for Your building!

How much we need to discern the proper value of things.

May the Lord grant us His light so that we would choose the most excellent person in the universe.

Christ’s desire is for us to remain in His death.

We must learn to consider Christ’s death as our “home sweet home.”

We don’t need to struggle & endeavour to overcome; we just need to “stay home.”

Oh Lord! Make home in our hearts…Amen and amen. Christ is our all-inclusive one.

The death of Christ, His overcoming and conquering death, is our home sweet home in the midst of human sufferings, hardships and trials.

As we remain in the death of Christ in the midst of our situations, the Lord secretes over us His death conquering and life producing and propagating resurrection to make us pearls of the New Jerusalem.

As we remain in the life juice of His resurrection life we are being constituted with the divine nature of God ( gold) and transformed into precious stones through the work of the Spirit.

This will issue in the New Jerusalem as the ultimate mingling of the triune God with the tripartite man as the miraculous, precious structure of treasure for His glory.
