I have been in the church life for nearly 8 months now. The Lord mercifully “brought some saints my own way” and two mature saints have taught myself and another new brother about the word of God, the Triune God, the all-inclusive Christ, the life-giving Spirit, the Economy of God, the Body of Christ, and the New Jerusalem. O, Lord Jesus!
I realise now that all of these are the central line of the Bible! We have covered a lot of topics in a short amount of time. BUT! My strongest impression of the church life is not the teachings or the practices, it is one simple prayer…
I love You Lord Jesus!
I remember hearing this simple prayer in my first meeting with the saints in Cardiff and I was blown away by such an open confession of love for God. I am English and I was not used to saying “I love you” to anyone… let alone to the Lord. But I felt encouraged to pray this more and more.
The more I prayed the more my love for the Lord increased! I was greatly touched by Mary’s love offering to the Lord Jesus… she poured out her best upon Him. Jesus said that this act should be remembered every time we preach the gospel.
To love the Lord is the goal of the gospel! O WHAT A GRACIOUS LORD! We are not bound by obligation but by love for the Lord Jesus!
O Lord Jesus I love You!
What a prayer! Let us not go a day without confessing our love to the Lord! Amen! O, Lord Jesus! Continue your move in Cardiff, the UK and in Europe, for your divine economy! [sharing by brother Ben L. from his experience of Christ in the church life in the 2010-2011 university year in Cardiff]
