did you know that Christ is lovable? Just love Him!(college age conference sharing)

Praise the Lord for the College Age Conference in Wales!

I really treasure this time every year. It is always an enjoyable weekend to be in the countryside (away from all the technology and the negative aspects that turn us away from Christ) with the saints, just to appreciate and love only Christ!

There is an excerpt from the Life-study of John which touched me very much:

In the Whole Gospel of John there are only two requirements: the first is to believe in Him, and the second is to love Him. To believe in Him is to receive Him, and to love Him is to enjoy Him. We all have to believe in Him. This means that we all have received Him. But the problem today is whether or not we love Him. Although you have received the Lord Jesus and He is now within you, you may not love Him. We need to be a lover of the Lord Jesus all day long. This is why the most significant aspect of the miniature of the church life in chapter twelve is the love that poured the ointment upon the Lord. We all must love Him. His presence is always related to our love toward Him. The more we love Him, the more we enjoy His presence. What is presence? It is simply the enjoyment of Himself. As long as we have His presence, we enjoy Him. The more we love Him, the more we shall have His presence. The more we have His presence, the more we shall enjoy all that He is to us. We need only to love Him. Knowing means nothing; only loving counts. How we all need to love Him! The Lord’s recovery is a recovery of loving the Lord Jesus. Chapter 6, Life Study of John

Oh we need to BELIEVE and LOVE the Lord Jesus! If we believe and love Him, then the more we can grow in Him.

We need to open our hearts to believe in Him. Then we need to love the Lord Jesus! Did you know that Christ is lovable? Mary poured out her love offering to the Lord!

We need to do the same! [This is sister Kirsty’s sharing of her top enjoyment from the recent Spring 2011 College Age Conference in Wales]

At the end of the day, we are all Crazy Lovers of Jesus!

One significant way that may help us love our dear Lord, is to always think of and remember his love for each and every one of us.
In his Gospel, John used to call himself :"The disciple whom Jesus loved" Note that he did not say:"The disciple who loved Jesus" though he defenitely did, but rather the one whom Jesus loved. John was the only disciple to stay with Jesus till the cross. On the other hand, Peter who was very proud with his own love to the lord could not continue the journey
I believe any of us can be very happy with the love of Jesus for him. The Lord's love to each and every human is a fact that we should all be proud of. It does not change with time nor does it depend on our status, whether we are in sin or not, whether we love him or not. It is a simple fact that stands no matter what.
If we concentrate on our love to the lord, we might sometimes get frustrated but if you remember that you are the person whom Jesus loved you will always have your heads up 🙂
