The Divine Coordination in the Divine Trinity is our Pattern in our Coordination in the Body

But if I, by the Spirit of God, cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Matt. 12:28

In Matt. 12 we see a beautiful example of the coordination in the Divine Trinity, for the Son cast the demons by the Spirit to bring in the kingdom of God the Father; this is a good pattern for our coordination in the Body.

In the church life, we need to have this kind of coordination in our service by having humility and selflessness, and by not doing things for or in ourselves but by others and for others in the Lord. Amen!

It is so wonderful to see that the Triune God not only is one yet three, but they work together as one, they do things together as one, and they are not separated in anything.

In Matt. 6, for example, when the Lord taught us how to pray by giving us “the Lord’s prayer” (which is not to be repeated mot-a-mot but to be kept in principle as we pray), we see the Divine Trinity again and again.

The Lord Jesus taught us to pray for the Triune God to be prevailing on earth as He is prevailing in the heavens.

The highest prayer we can have is not merely the prayer for our needs but for the Triune God to prevail on earth as He does in heaven.

We need to pray that the Father’s name is sanctified, the kingdom of Christ the Son would come, and the will of God the Spirit would be done, even as in heaven, so also on earth.

Hallelujah, the Father gains all the glory, the Son’s kingdom will be manifested on earth, and the Spirit’s power will be shown for the fulfilment of God’s purpose on earth!

May we all learn to not only know the Triune God and see the Divine Trinity moving and working together as one, but also enjoy and experience the Divine Trinity in our daily living.

The Triune God is continually and constantly dispensing Himself in His Divine Trinity into us to produce and build up the church as the Body of Christ consummating in the New Jerusalem; by being open to the divine dispensing, we cooperate with the Lord’s inner work of gaining His Body on earth today.

If we remain open to the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity in our daily life, if we keep in touch with the Lord in prayer and contact Him again and again, we will be infused with the divine element, and we will express God corporately as His Body.

As we do this and that, we need to live in and with the Divine Trinity by being open to His divine dispensing; we may even ask Him to dispense Himself into us, and we may turn our heart to Him to be infused more and more with Him.

In this way, by abiding in the Lord and allowing Him to abide in us, by remaining in His word and allowing His word to remain in us, we will be constituted to be functioning and living members of His Body, the church, and we will hasten His return.

The Son cast out demons by the Spirit for the Kingdom of God to come in: the Pattern of the Divine Trinity in their Coordination in Selflessness, Dependence, and Oneness

...Every kingdom divided against itself becomes desolate, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I, by Beelzebul, cast out the demons, by whom do your sons cast [them] out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if I, by the Spirit of God, cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Matt. 12:25-28In Matt. 12 the Lord Jesus cast a demon out of a man who was possessed; He healed him so that the dumb man spoke and saw.

The crowds were amazed, but the Pharisees said that He cast out the demons by Beelzebul, the ruler of the demons.

But the Lord Jesus told them that every kingdom divided against itself becomes desolate, and every city divided against itself will not stand, so if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself, so his kingdom cannot stand.

Then Matt. 12:28 says, But if I, by the Spirit of God, cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Here we see that the Son, in the person of man, cast out demons by the Spirit to bring in the kingdom of God the Father.

What the Lord basically said is that, if He (the Son of God) by the Spirit of God (the Triune God including the Father) cast out the demons, then the kingdom of God (the Triune God) has come upon them.

This is seemingly a simple word, but it is very deep, for it conveys a deeper meaning and revelation.

The Lord could have said that He casts out demons by Himself (since He is God) so that His own kingdom would come upon the people, and such a statement would have been correct.

But He didn’t act individualistically; rather, He cast out the demons by the Spirit (by another One) for the kingdom of God (another One) to come in.

He was doing something by the Spirit of God and for the kingdom of God.

Here we see something very beautiful and excellent: the divine coordination in the Divine Trinity, the dependence among the three of the Triune God, and the oneness in the Divine Trinity.

The Son didn’t do anything in Himself and for Himself; rather, He did things by another One and for another One.

The way that He cast out demons – by another One and for another One – showed that He didn’t act individualistically but with humility and selflessness.

This is beautiful, and this is a pattern to us in our Christian life and in our church life.

Matthew 12:28 seemingly is a simple word, but we need to look into this verse to see its deeper meaning and revelation. We need to ask, “Couldn’t the Lord Jesus have cast out these demons by Himself? Couldn’t the Lord have said that He cast out demons by Himself in order that His own kingdom might come upon the people? What would have been wrong with this?” If the Son would have done this, He would have acted individualistically...Now there was One, condemned by them and standing in front of them, telling them that He did something in a different way. The way He cast out demons showed them that He was humble. He was not individualistic. He was not doing something by Himself and for Himself. He was doing something by the Spirit of God and for the kingdom of God. He never did anything by Himself or for Himself. Is this not beautiful? This shows us the excellency in the Divine Trinity. Living In and With the Divine Trinity, Chapter 5, by Witness LeeThe Son as the center of the Divine Trinity was altogether not by Himself, for Himself, or to Himself; rather, whatever He did was by the Spirit of God and for the kingdom of God the Father.

The fact that the Son did nothing by Himself or for Himself shows His humility and selflessness; also, it shows us the harmony in the Divine Trinity, the beauty and excellence in the Divine Trinity.

The Son didn’t strive to be first or to stand out, for He was there on earth doing God’s work; rather, He depended on the Father, did the work of the Father, and cast out the demons by the Spirit for the kingdom of God to come in.

Even in such a seemingly negative matter as casting out the demons, the Son depended on the Father and did all things by the Spirit for the kingdom of God to come in.

He didn’t seek His own glory or did His own work, neither did He do things in Himself or by Himself; rather, He sought the glory of the Father and did all things by the Spirit and for the kingdom of God to come in.

Such a One now lives in us; such a One is being constantly dispensed into us to live in us and reproduce the same kind of life in our living today.

He is the pattern we should follow and imitate, and He is also our life and person within for Him to live in us the same kind of life as He did when He was on earth.

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for coming into us to live in us the same kind of life as You did when on the earth. We open to You, dear Lord, and we allow You to live in us a life that expresses God and does all things in the Spirit. What a wonderful pattern we have in You, dear Lord! How we appreciate Your excellence, Your beauty, and Your harmony as You did everything by the Spirit and for the kingdom of God to come in. Amen, Lord, we want to learn from You not to do anything by or for ourselves but with others and for others in the Lord. Live in us today, dear Lord, and be expressed and manifested through us all as the members of Your organic Body on earth!

The Divine Coordination in the Divine Trinity is our Pattern in our Coordination in the Body

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak from Myself, but the Father who abides in Me does His works. John 14:10 Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing from Himself except what He sees the Father doing, for whatever that One does, these things the Son also does in like manner. John 5:19This mysterious yet wonderful verse, Matt. 12:28, shows us the pattern of the Divine Trinity with the divine coordination in harmony and selflessness; this is an example for us to follow.

We believers in Christ are members of the Body of Christ, and He is our Head; we all learn from Him and are being conformed to His image in our living, work, and service.

As the many members of the Body of Christ, we need to learn from the pattern of the Divine Trinity to not do things in ourselves, by ourselves, or for ourselves in the church life.

The move of the Divine Trinity with the divine coordination in Matt. 12:28 is an excellent and beautiful example for us to follow.

It is a good pattern that our Head has set up for our coordination as members of His Body.

The reason today we are not built up adequately in the Body of Christ is because of the shortage of proper coordination.

We all are learning to coordinate, but many times we do things in and by ourselves, and the result is that we gain something for ourselves.

We may do something according to the will of God, but what we do should not be by ourselves but by some others; furthermore, what we do should not be for ourselves as the beneficiary but for the interest, the right, of God on this earth.

The Lord Jesus had a spirit that was so humble and so selfless, for He didn’t cast out demons by Himself or for His glory, but by the Spirit and for the kingdom of God to come in.

With Him there was no self – there was no element of selfishness; this is a beauty, something excellent.

The New Testament record shows us such excellencies, such beauties, and such virtues in the Divine Trinity, and these are not only for us to admire but also to live out, for we are under the dispensing of the Divine Trinity in our daily life today.

He humbled Himself to become a lowly man, even a slave; such a spirit and attitude is in the One who lives in us, and when we live in spirit, we humble ourselves and have the attitude of a slave, not that of a king.

He did everything for the will of God and by the Spirit; in our coordination in the Body, we need to take Him as our pattern to not do anything in and by ourselves but in the Body and for the Body.

We need to learn to exercise our spirit and depend on the Lord, learning from Him to not do things in, by, or for ourselves, but in the Body, for the Body, and by the Body.

The Lord has produced a Body constituted with many members, so all the members should learn of Him. He was working by the Spirit of God for God the Father. He never did anything by Himself or for Himself. Is this not a pattern for us to be coordinated in His Body? We should behave ourselves just like our Head. He behaved Himself in a way of neither doing anything by Himself nor doing anything for Himself. Today in the church life the Body of Christ has not been built up adequately because of the shortage of the proper coordination. If we want to be coordinated with all the members in the Body, we have to learn of Christ our Head, taking Him as our pattern. We should not do anything by ourselves or for ourselves. I may do something according to the will of God, but what I do should not be by myself but by some others. Furthermore, what I do should not be for myself but for the interest, the right, of God on the earth. This is a beauty, and this beauty is a real excellency, a real divine attribute, and an excellent virtue that we need to copy. Living In and With the Divine Trinity, Chapter 5, by Witness LeeMay we be the group of brothers and sisters in the church life who live and serve in the reality of the Body of Christ.

May we be those who serve in a harmonious way, not insisting on our own opinions nor seeking our own interest, but doing all things in oneness and in one accord, seeking the Lord’s will and His glory.

In our service and coordination in the Body, we need to be one with the saints and in harmony with one another, being humble and not doing things in, for, or by ourselves but doing all things in the Body and for the Body.

In ourselves, we are not like this, but the One who is selfless and humble lives in us, and when we exercise our spirit and live in spirit, He lives in us the same kind of life.

The Divine Trinity took the lead to live a life of beautiful coordination and harmony, with humility and selflessness; among the three, the Son took the lead to be selfless, humble, and considerate to others.

In the church life, we need to learn from the move of the Divine Trinity in the divine coordination as we coordinate in the Body to do things not in ourselves or for ourselves but in the Body and for the Body, so that God’s will may be done on earth.

May we learn in our experience of the coordination in the Body and in our service in the church life to be built together in the Body by following the pattern of the move of the Divine Trinity in the divine coordination.

Lord Jesus, we want to learn from You to not do anything in, by, or for ourselves but in the Body, by the Body, and for the Body so that God may gain the glory. Gain a group of brothers and sisters who are serving and living in the reality of the Body of Christ. Gain the harmonious and selfless service in the coordination as members of the Body. May we take the lead to be selfless, humble, and considerate to others by exercising our spirit to follow the pattern of the move of the Divine Trinity with the divine coordination. Amen, Lord, gain the harmony in the church life and in the church service by all the saints denying themselves and being selfless and humble. Live in us today, Lord, and be expressed through us in our coordination in the Body for God to gain all the glory!
