I’ve been considering this matter of giving my testimony concerning having a time with the Lord in the morning revival. First, I have to say that I do feel most unqualified.
Concerning morning revival and preparing to prophesy, I feel short in both areas, with much need of improvement. As far as my practice is concerned, I offer the following.
The main point in morning revival I feel is to remember that we are contacting a Person. It is not a matter of form or procedure. The need is to get your being in harmony with the Lord.
In order to live Christ during the day, there is the need to be with Him at the start.
Concerning prophesying, I initially focus on the outline of the Holy Word for Morning Revival to see what point or points most touches me.
I think it is best to have something particular to focus on. Otherwise, we can remain on the surface, trying to absorb too much. At times, I am touched with a particular word. Even the title of the outline conveys a lot.
In prophesying, I think the goal is to speak something out of our personal enjoyment and apprehension. So it helps to pray over the point(s) that impresses you, to make it yours.
