Come to the Lord’s Table in Newness and be Renewed in our Mind and in our Spirit

And that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind. Eph. 4:23

We are daily being renewed by the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word of God; as we come to God’s word with the exercise of our spirit, we receive the renewing, and when we come to the Lord’s Table, we come in newness, dealing with anything negative and seeking to forgive and be forgiven.

Amen, Lord Jesus, how much we need the renewing! More renewing today! Renew us by the cross, the Holy Spirit with our spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word of God! Spread from our spirit into our mind to renew and saturate our mind. Take over our mind, Lord, and make us as new as You are, even as new as the New Jerusalem! Praise the Lord! Amen!

This week, we have been enjoying the blessedness of being poor in spirit and pure in heart so that we may be under Christ’s heavenly ruling as our new King and so that we may see God and express Him in His life and represent Him with His authority.

What a blessed life we have as kingdom people, those who not only have God’s life but even more, deal with the Lord and with our heart so that we may be poor in spirit and pure in heart!

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens. To have the kingdom of the heavens we need to be emptied in our spirit, not relying on or remaining in anything of the past, and realising that we can do nothing apart from the Lord.

May the Lord grant us the spiritual hunger for Him, even a renewed hunger for the Lord and His interest on the earth. We need the Lord’s mercy to be emptied, unloaded, and even continually emptied to be continually filled with the Lord.

Oh, blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God! When our heart is single, seeking nothing but the Lord Himself, Christ can grow in us without frustration.

When we seek God and nothing else, when we are pure in heart in seeking the Lord, our reward is God Himself, for we see God, gain God, and are constituted with God.

We will realise that everything else is rubbish compared to the Lord, and we will give Him the whole space in our being.

May we have spiritual progress day by day first by having a hunger for the Lord and then by turning our heart toward Him, and may we allow Him to make His home in our heart and enlarge our heart.

Day by day we need to practice maintaining the newness of our heart and our spirit by being renewed day by day with the fresh supply of the resurrection life.

May we remain in the process of being renewed day by day!

Come to the Lord’s Table in Newness by Making a Thorough Confession of All Negative Things and Learning to Forgive and be Forgiven

But I say to you, I shall by no means drink of this product of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of My Father. Matt. 26:29

As we remain in the process of being renewed daily, we need to come to the Lord’s Table in newness. Whenever we come to the Lord’s table, we need to be renewed.

The Lord Jesus, after establishing the Lord’s table, said that He will by no means drink of this product of the vine from then on until the day He will drink it new with us in the kingdom of His Father (Matt. 26:29).

The principle the Lord establishes here is that He will never take an old table; the table He set up was new, and the table He will take in the kingdom of His father will be new.

Amen, may we also learn to come to the Lord’s table in a new way, in the principle of newness. What causes us to take the Lord’s table in oldness is negative things; anything negative is a factor of oldness.

Before coming to the Lord’s table, we need to first make a thorough confession of all the negative things; we need to deal with anything old, anything that is negative, anything that is not new.

We confess to the Lord, we apply His blood, and we are cleansed and washed to be renewed. We need to have a proper and positive relationship with God and with man (Acts 24:16).

If we don’t have such a relationship, we need to have a thorough confession and dealing.

We also need to go to others and forgive them and seek to be forgiven.

Negative things are not only between us and God but also between us and others; we need to forgive people (Matt. 18:21-22, 35; Eph. 4:32; 5:2) and always seek to be forgiven (Matt. 5:23-24).

Simply by living on this earth among people and with people, we offend others and we ourselves are offended. Others offend us, and we offend others; before coming to the Lord’s table, we need to deal with any offenses and problems.

Especially in the married life, we live so close to one another, and it is easy to offend one another.

The husband offends the wife, and the wife offends the husband, for they live together and do things together, share a life and care for the children together.

Offenses are the cause of oldness. The way to get rid of the oldness is to forgive one another.

We need to come to the Lord, confess our sins and offenses, and we also need to forgive others and learn to be forgiven.

And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ also forgave you. Eph. 4:32 And walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savor. Eph. 5:2By disposition, some of us can forgive others, while others simply cannot forgive or forget the offenses; they remember them and treasure them. Oh Lord!

This is a source of oldness, and we offend the Lord when we take the Lord’s table in oldness.

Brother Watchman Nee has a saying, an encouragement, which is that both the husband and the wife need to learn to say, “I’m sorry. Forgive me.” This is something we need to practice day by day.

When we confess to the Lord and to one another, dealing with the offenses before God and before men, we can enter more into the reality of being renewed day by day.

The Lord wants us to be renewed, and He gave us four wonderful provisions in our Christian life.

He gave us the cross (2 Cor. 4:10-12, 16-18); the Holy Spirit, by which we are reconditioned, remade, and remodelled with the divine life (Titus 3:5); our mingled spirit (Eph. 4:23); and the holy Word of God (5:26).

By means of the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word of God, we are renewed in a positive way.

By our confessing and forgiving, even seeking to be forgiven, we are renewed from any oldness. May we learn to practice this before the Lord, especially as we come to the Lord’s table in newness, to enjoy the Lord in a new and fresh way.

Lord Jesus, we love You and we open to You! Wash us and cleanse us from any impurity, sin, and offense. We come to You, Lord, and we allow You to shine on any offense, trespass, and iniquity; thoroughly cleanse us. We want to make a thorough confession of our sins and negative things. Amen, Lord, we want to come to the Lord’s table in newness. We want to deal with anything in our relationship with God and with man so that we may be renewed! Oh Lord, we want to forgive others of their offenses and seek to be forgiven by others. May we learn to say I’m sorry and may we forgive others so that we may be renewed. Amen, Lord, we open to You! Have Your way to renew us by means of the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word of God! We open to the operation of the cross. We open to the work of the Holy Spirit. We exercise our mingled spirit. We come to the holy Word of God to be purified and renewed! Amen, Lord, renew us more today!

Love the Lord and Exercise our Spirit to Pray-read the Word to be Purified and Renewed in our Mind and have a Renewed Spirit

That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word. Eph. 5:26

Thank the Lord for His holy word, the pure word of God! The Lord gave us the provisions of the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word of God.

We need to be renewed in the spirit of our mind (Eph. 4:23) by coming to the Lord’s word to pray-read the word.

May we not live in the vanity of our mind but according to the spirit of the mind; may we allow the mingled spirit to spread into our mind and renew our mind (Eph. 4:3-4, 17-18, 23).

Our mingled spirit needs to spread into our mind to subdue, take over, and occupy our mind, thus becoming the spirit of our mind. We do this by loving the Lord and exercising our spirit to pray-read the word of God (Phil. 2:5; Eph. 4:23; 1 Cor. 2:16; Rom. 12:2).

This therefore I say and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the Gentiles also walk in the vanity of their mind...And that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind. Eph. 4:18, 23The more the mingled spirit penetrates, saturates, and possesses our mind, the more we let Christ’s mind become our mind. As we come to the Lord’s word day by day, loving the Lord and exercising our spirit to contact Him, Christ as the Head of the Body cleanses us and washes us, even purifies us in His word (Eph. 5:26).

Oh, the washing of the water in the word! We may not remember everything we read in the Bible, but as long as we remain in the Word of God, as long as we read and pray over the Word of God, we are washed, cleansed, purified, and renewed in our mind.

Our pray-reading of God’s word, mixing the word of God with our spirit of faith and musing on God’s word prayerfully, causes the Lord’s mind to become our mind, and we will have the same mind as Christ.

In this way, we will no longer live according to the vanity of the mind but according to the spirit of the mind.

This is the key to the daily living of the corporate one new man; this is the secret to having a church life filled with the character of God, the aroma of Christ, and the oneness of the Spirit.

When we exercise our spirit and love the Lord as we pray-read the Word of God, we will live in the one new man, we have a church life filled with the character of God, and the aroma of Christ will be sensed among us. We all long for this.

We need to do our part, which is to cooperate with the Lord to be renewed daily, and the Lord, on His side, operates as the Spirit to renew us.

Our loving the Lord and our exercising our spirit in prayer and in reading the Word day by day change and renew our mind; this is to get rid of all the old concepts concerning the things of the human life and be made new again by the teaching of the Holy Scriptures and the enlightening of the Holy Spirit (Psa. 119:105, 130; 2 Tim. 3:15-17; Deut. 17:18-20).

God assigns each one of us a certain portion of suffering and affliction; when we are suffering, we feel that it is not fair, for we did nothing to deserve this, but we still need to be open to the Lord.

Indeed, suffering is not fair, and afflictions are not fair, but God’s calling us to suffer is fair, for He places us in a place where we’re treated unfairly so that we may receive the renewing.

As we are treated unfairly, may we turn to our spirit and receive the renewing.

May we learn to pray-read the word of God and be renewed in the spirit of our mind!

We may hate what is happening to us, we may even think we can’t take the situation we’re in, but when we come to the Word of God, no matter what we read and pray in God’s word, the word washes us and renews us! God wants to make us new, even as new as He is new, for us to be the New Jerusalem.

The Lord’s recovery depends upon our renewed, purified heart and our renewed, strengthened spirit.

When our heart is fully possessed by Christ and our spirit is habitually exercised to touch the Lord, God will have a way, and the recovery will be prevailing.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus. Phil. 2:5 For who has known the mind of the Lord and will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. 1 Cor. 2:16 And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind...Rom. 12:2This is what the Lord is after today, and it takes place in our intimate, personal, spiritual touch with the Lord as we love the Lord and exercise our spirit to pray-read the Word of God.

The degree to which the Lord advances in us in His recovery depends upon our renewed heart and renewed spirit.

As we cooperate with the Lord to let Him make His home in our heart, having our heart fully possessed by Him, and exercising our spirit habitually to touch the Lord, He will have a way.

This consummates God’s intention in making the believers the new man as the new creation to consummate the New Jerusalem! Amen!

As a result of being renewed, we are made a new creation, which is the new man in Christ (Col. 3:10-11; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 6:15-17; Eph. 2:10, 15).

Dealing with our spirit and with our heart is essential even to the working out of the New Jerusalem in eternity.

May we remain in the renewing process today for the bringing about of the one new man.

God’s goal is to have the one new man, which ultimately will be consummated in the New Jerusalem, the final consummation of the one new man. May we come to the Lord concerning this and may we remain in the renewing process today, receiving the renewing day by day.

Lord Jesus, we exercise our spirit and we turn our heart to You to love You as we come to Your word. Amen, Lord, we open to You and we come to the holy Word of God to receive the renewing! May we no longer live according to the vanity of our mind but according to the spirit of our mind! May the mingled spirit spread into our mind to subdue, take over, and occupy our mind, thus becoming the spirit of our mind! Amen, Lord, may our mingled spirit penetrate, saturate, and possess our mind so that the mind of Christ becomes our mind! Oh Lord, may we have such a daily living so that we may have the corporate one new man and live a church life filled with the character of God, the aroma of Christ, and the oneness of the Spirit! We love You, Lord, and we exercise our spirit as we come to Your word so that we may be washed, changed, and renewed in our mind. May our heart be fully possessed by Christ and may our spirit be habitually exercised to touch the Lord so that You may have a way in us and through us! Empty our spirit, Lord; unload our spirit. Purify our heart and make it single in seeking You!

No suffering is fair. The Lord could respond to us in this way: “Yes, the suffering itself is not fair, but My calling you to suffer is fair. I am fully right in placing you into this unfair treatment so that you can receive the renewing.” Some of us may still be under a certain amount of suffering. We have to learn how to turn to our spirit. That is our refuge, our hiding place, to receive the renewing. Because we are human, according to our thinking and our consideration, what we are passing through is not fair. We may not even be able to take the situation we are in, but when we come to the Word, regardless of what chapter or verse, the word will wash us…Washing is a synonym of renewing. By these four items—the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word—we can receive the renewing. Whenever we come to the Lord’s table, we need renewing. When the Lord Jesus established the table, He said, “I shall by no means drink of this product of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in the kingdom of My Father” (Matt. 26:29). The Lord established a principle here. He will never take an old table. The table He set up was new, and the table He will take in the kingdom of His Father will be new. We have to come to the Lord’s table in a new way, in the principle of newness…We need to realize that anything negative is a cause and a factor of oldness.

Dear brother, we are renewed day by day by the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the holy Word of God.

May we be renewed today by coming to the Lord’s pure and new word, and may we learn to forgive others and seek to be forgiven so that we may remain in newness.

He allows suffering to come to us, and He wants to simply receive the renewing.

Oh Lord, amen, more renewing today! May we be washed and renewed by Your word. May we come to the Lord’s table in newness, confessing and dealing with all negative things. Amen, Lord, make us new, even as new as the New Jerusalem!

Yes, we need to have a renewing mind. This means that we need to grow in Him. Our God is new every morning, so do we!

Amen, brother! The Lord’s goal is to constitute us as His new creation, to consummate His ultimate habitation – the New Jerusalem!

For this, in addition to being emptied and poor in spirit to receive things of God’s heavenly kingdom, we not only need the purity of heart to have God as our reward, we need the ongoing renewing of heart and spirit!

Hallelujah for the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and God’s Holy word through which He daily renews us.

Oh, may we sense this need within us, confessing all our negative deeds and preoccupations, that we are nothing, have nothing, and can do nothing apart from Him. Even as He forgives us, we should forgive others and seek to be forgiven in humility! May we daily come to You in Your word and be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Do this in us, Lord!

Dear brother, along with the cross; the Holy Spirit and our mingled Spirit we have the word to wash us that that we may be renewed in the spirit of our mind, and our hearts purified. We must come to the Lord’s table in newness not oldness.

If we offend or are offended we become old. In the church life and in the marriage life, we must confess, say sorry and be willing to forgive others.

Then we are saved from the old creation to live as the new man in the new creation, partaking of the Lord’s table in newness!

Praise the Lord who is ever new!

Hallelujah for the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit, and the word of God.
The Lord’s word is very pure and we can be sanctified by cleansing us, washing us and renewing us by the water in the word.

Thank You Lord that we can be renewed by receiving the washing of the water in the word. Also by confessing, forgiving and seeking to he forgiven will keep us in the process of renewing from the old to the New Jerusalem.

Amen, we need the renewing day by day to remove negative things that bring us into turning old.

For this we need to apply the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit and the holy Word to cleanse us.

Anything negative is of the old creation and need to be confessed and prayed for forgiveness.

Amen, deal with us day by day Lord, we confess to You, wash and cleanse us that we may be renewed. Amen. Lord Jesus make us new

Amen! We so much need to be renewed each day brother.

Otherwise, we will inevitably become old, negative & divisive. Praise the Lord for the cross, the Holy Spirit, our mingled spirit and the holy Word.

In addition to these, we need to always forgive and always seek to be forgiven.

Unlike the unbelievers, our suffering brings about positive & glorious things.

Truly, blessed are those who do not lose heart but instead give themselves to be renewed daily in the spirit of their mind.
