Christ Takes Care of the Churches by Shining, Exposing, Infusing, and Establishing us

...These things says the Son of God, He who has eyes like a flame of fire... Rev. 2:18

Christ takes care of the churches in His divinity with His divine love, nourishing them in His divinity and cherishing them in His humanity; His eyes are like a flame of fire to watch, observe, search, judge by enlightening, and infuse what He is into us, and His presence is with us all the time.

What a Christ we have!

This week we have been enjoying the vision of the glorious Christ in different portions of the word of God.

In the Old Testament, Isaiah and Daniel saw the glorious Christ, and they were infused with Him to be one with Him.

The result was that Isaiah responded to God’s call, and he was sent by God. Daniel, on his side, remained in the reality of the vision he received, and he became a man of preciousness, even preciousness itself.

In the New Testament in Rev. 1 the apostle John saw a vision of the glorious Christ.

Today Christ is no longer in His earthly ministry; He is in the heavens, carrying out His heavenly ministry, and He cares for the churches.

As revealed in Rev. 1, Christ is walking among the churches as the Son of Man; He is the High Priest caring for the local churches so that they would shine brightly as the testimony of Jesus.

He has already produced the churches, for He obtained a marvellous redemption, He became a life-giving Spirit to dispense Himself into His believers, and He produced the church as His Body.

Hallelujah, all believers in Christ are members of Christ and, practically speaking, every believer is part of the local church, the church in the locality where the Lord has placed them.

Now Christ in His heavenly ministry is walking among the local churches to observe the situation and take care of the churches.

Just as in the Old Testament when the priests had to dress the lamps of the lampstand every day, so the Lord today is dressing the lamps of the lampstands.

On one hand, He exposes the situation in the churches, He points out what does not match His holiness, righteousness, and glory, and on the other hand, He adds the oil.

Christ trims the wicks, the charred part of the wick, and He adds the oil.

He shines on the situation in the churches and exposes anything that does not match Him, and in His humanity, He cherishes the churches.

How we love to be in the Lord’s presence in the local churches, enjoying an atmosphere of tenderness and warmth!

In such a cherishing atmosphere, we enjoy rest, comfort, healing, cleansing, and encouragement.

As we allow the Lord to cherish us both personally and corporately, He has a way to expose our failures, mistakes, and shortcomings, and He removes any charred part that gives forth smoke instead of light.

He does this in His humanity. What a great High Priest we have!

Christ takes Care of the Churches in His Divinity with His Divine Love to Nourish the Churches

And in the midst of the lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment reaching to the feet, and girded about at the breasts with a golden girdle. Rev. 1:13 To the messenger of the church in Ephesus write: These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, He who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands. Rev. 2:1In His humanity, Christ cherishes the churches, and He has a way of making them feel comfortable and open to His dealing with anything that hinders the shining of the lamps.

In His divinity, signified by His golden girdle (Rev. 1:13), Christ takes care of the churches with His divine love (signified by the girdle being at His breasts).

Christ doesn’t just correct and adjust us in His humanity, as He cherishes us; He also nourishes us and supplies us richly with what He is.

On one hand, we need the adjusting, correcting, exposing, and cutting; on the other hand, we need the bountiful supply from the Lord.

Christ nourishes us with Himself as the all-inclusive Christ in His full ministry of three stages – incarnation, inclusion, and intensification.

As we read the word of God and place ourselves under the hearing of the word, as we remain in the meetings with the saints and listen to what the Spirit is speaking to the churches, we are nourished by Christ.

He is all-inclusive. He passed through many processes, and He has a full ministry of three stages – incarnation (from His birth to His death on the cross), inclusion (from His resurrection to the degradation of the church), and intensification (from the degradation of the church to the New Jerusalem). He has done everything.

He lived a perfect human life, expressing God in His God-man living.

When we read the Gospels, we are infused with Christ in His ministry in the stage of incarnation; we are infused with His humanity, His human living, and all that He is and has done.

As we read the book of Acts and the Epistles, we see what Christ is doing in the stage of inclusion; He has become an all-inclusive, life-giving, compound Spirit, and He is constantly dispensing Himself into us, His believers.

Furthermore, He is caring for the churches and for all the saints, He is propagating Himself through the saints, and He lives in each one of us to express God in a corporate God-man living.

When we read the book of Revelation, we see Christ in the stage of intensification, for He is now the seven Spirits of God – not seven separate spirits but one Spirit that has been intensified sevenfold – to carry out God’s administration, produce the overcomers, and consummate the New Jerusalem.

Our Christ today wants to not only build up the church but even more, produce the overcomers and consummate the New Jerusalem.

When we enjoy and are richly supplied with the all-inclusive Christ in His full ministry of three stages – incarnation, inclusion, and intensification – we will grow in life and mature in the divine life to be His overcomers to accomplish His eternal economy.

May we open to Him to be cared for by Christ in His divinity with His divine love.

As the walking Christ, He gets to know the condition of each church, and as the speaking Spirit, He trims and fills the lampstands with fresh oil, the fresh supply of the Spirit (Rev. 2:1, 7; Zech. 4:12-14).

He walks among the churches and gets to know the condition of each church.

Also, He speaks to each of the churches, trimming anything that is charred and giving smoke and filling the lampstands with the supply of the Spirit.

Christ takes care of the churches in His humanity and with His divinity day by day in this way.

Lord Jesus, we open to Your loving care in Your divinity toward all the churches. We open to Your nourishing and cherishing. Nourish us with Yourself as the all-inclusive Christ in Your full ministry in three stages – incarnation, inclusion, and intensification. May we personally and the churches corporately be open to Your cherishing and nourishing. May we be richly nourished by what You are, what You have done, and what You are doing, so that we may grow in the divine life and mature in life. Amen, Lord, grow in us, mature us, and produce us as Your overcomers to accomplish Your eternal economy. We open to You. You know and see our situation and condition. Trim what needs to be trimmed, and fill us with the fresh supply of the Spirit for an intensified shining! Amen, Lord, may the local churches be the shining lampstands as the testimony of Jesus!

Being Open to the Lord’s Shining, Exposing, and Infusing with His Seven Eyes for God’s Move on Earth

And His head and hair were as white as white wool, as snow; and His eyes were like a flame of fire. Rev. 1:14 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing as having [just] been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth. Rev. 5:6 And to the messenger of the church in Thyatira write: These things says the Son of God, He who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like shining bronze. Rev. 2:18In Rev. 1:14 and 5:6 we see that Christ has seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth in all the earth for the move and operation of God on earth.

The Lord’s seven eyes are like a flame of fire; they are for watching, observing, searching, judging by enlightening, and infusing.

We can testify that we experience all these aspects of Christ with His seven eyes, especially during these latter days.

He not only looks at us to search us, but He is sevenfold intensified to search us, judge anything that is not according to Him, expose anything that doesn’t match Him, and infuse us.

Since the time that we have been saved, we experienced Christ’s eyes like a burning fire enlightening us and infusing us.

We may have wanted to do this or that, but the Lord’s eyes were searching for us until they found us, and we were brought back to Him.

We may want to say something to our spouse or correct our children in a particular way, but when we look at the Lord’s face in our spirit, His eyes infuse us with a different feeling and attitude.

We may want to argue with someone or hide something from someone close to us, but the Lord’s eyes were piercing us, searching us, judging anything that is hidden, and bringing us fully into the light.

We thank the Lord for His seven eyes shining, piercing, exposing, enlightening, judging, and infusing.

May we not be afraid of His searching and infusing eyes.

The only person in this universe who is afraid of the Lord’s eyes is Satan, for he knows that the Lord’s eyes convey judgment and termination for him.

So he lies to us and causes us to think that we will be judged by the Lord when we come to His presence.

May we refuse the enemy’s lies, realizing that the Lord’s heart is full of love toward us.

May we stand with the Lord in our spirit, apply the blood of the Lamb to anything that we have done or said, and stand on the blood to defeat the enemy with his accusations.

And may we allow the Lord to look at us, search us, enlighten us, and stir us up for Him.

Many times when we spend time with the Lord we are not only enlightened, exposed, judged, and infused, but we are also stirred up by Him.

The Lord’s infusing eyes cause us to be stirred up in our love for the Lord.

At other times, when we are about to argue with others or as we are arguing, the Lord’s shining eyes are upon us, and we cannot go on arguing.

His shining stops our mouth. May we come to the Lord again and again and let Him search us, enlighten us, and infuse us.

His eyes are for God’s move and operation on earth, since seven is the number for completion in God’s move (Rev. 1:14; 5:6; Dan. 10:6; 7:9-10; Rev. 2:18; 19:11-12).

This is how Christ takes care of the churches today, in the stage of His intensification.

Lord Jesus, we open to Your shining, searching, and infusing eyes. We do not want to hide from Your shining, for Your heart is full of love toward us. Look at us, Lord, and search us. See if there is any wicked way in us, and lead us on the way of life. Judge anything that is not according to You in our being. Stir us up in our love toward You. Infuse us with Yourself and constitute us with what You are so that we may live Christ in our daily living. Amen, Lord, we treasure Your shining. Save us from trying to hide from Your seven eyes like a flame of fire. Carry out in us what You want to accomplish by Your shining.

Christ Lives Forever and Ever: His Presence in our Spirit Establishes us and Assures us

And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead; and He placed His right hand on me, saying, Do not fear; I am the First and the Last And the living One; and I became dead, and behold, I am living forever and ever; and I have the keys of death and of Hades. Rev. 1:17-18When we see a vision of the glorious Christ, we will be amazed, for such a One is shining, glorious, and splendid; we, however, are sinful, and we are exposed of what we are by nature.

Isaiah’s reaction to the sight of the Lord’s glory was “Woe is me, for I am a man of unclean lips” and John’s reaction in Rev. 1 was to fall at the Lord’s feet as dead.

But in Rev. 1:17-18 the Lord comforted John by telling Him not to fear, for He is the first and the last and the living One; He became dead, and He is living forever and ever, and He has the keys of death and of Hades.

Christ is the One who lives forever and ever.

If we know the Lord as the God who lives forever and ever, we can be assured of His presence in our spirit all the time, and this assures us and establishes us (2 Tim. 4:22; Matt. 1:23; 28:20; Exo. 33:14-16).

In ourselves, we are nothing, we can do nothing, and even we have nothing to offer to God, for we’re of sin, in sin, and the flesh is with us.

But Christ is the One who lives forever and ever, and we trust in Him.

By knowing the Lord as the God who lives forever and ever, we can be assured of His presence in our spirit all the time.

This is not something that we feel, an imagination, a psychological illusion, or something we make up; this is a reality.

All those who have really seen the Lord and touched Him experienced this.

Abraham followed God for many years, and he developed a deep knowledge of the Lord.

In Gen. 21:33 it says that he planted a grove in Beer-sheba, and called there on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God.

He trusted in God and knew God as the One who lives forever and ever.

Daniel was called the servant of the living God (Dan. 6:20), and this God who is living and everlasting delivered him from the mouths of the lions (v. 22).

He served a living God, not a God that is dead and inactive; therefore, when he was thrown into the lion’s den, God sealed up the mouth of the lions that they would not hurt him.

We may have severe difficulties, heavy trials, and deep poverty and needs, but we can know Christ as the One who lives forever and ever.

As we trust in Him, we will learn that God will never fail us; we can trust in Him through His grace that He will always supply us.

The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. 2 Tim. 4:22 ...And behold, I am with you all the days until the consummation of the age. Matt. 28:20 And when he had come near the den, he shouted to Daniel with a sad voice; the king responded and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions? Dan. 6:20George Muller testified of this, for he learned through many difficulties, trials, and poverty and needs, to trust in God, and God has never failed him.

Martin Luther testified of the same thing; when he was full of anxiety and fear, being apprehensive of the danger facing him, he realized that God is living forever and ever.

When he saw this, he rejoiced and was revived. In ourselves, we’re like lighted lamps – sooner or later we will be extinguished, but He alone is the true light, the source of all lights, and He alone abides forever!

He lives forever: He was dead, and now He lives.

And we trust Him, rely on Him, and cast all our anxieties and cares upon Him.

We can rejoice and be revived.

The God whom Abraham called upon and whom Daniel served is our God.

We belong to Him, we serve Him, and we worship Him and praise His name with joy!

We can fully trust Him, for Christ takes care of the churches and of each one of us in love.

Lord Jesus, may we know You as the One who lives forever and ever. Hallelujah, Christ became dead, and now He lives forever and ever! Thank You, Lord, for being with us right now. We have Your presence in our spirit, and we’re established in the faith. We come to You as we are, we cast all our cares upon You, and we trust in You. We are established by the assured presence of the Lord. Be with us today, Lord. Keep us in Your presence. Keep us one spirit with You. We belong to You. We serve You. We worship You and we praise Your name with joy! Hallelujah!

    – His head, His hair is white as wool— / The ancient One with youth is full. / His face is shining as the sun / To burn and lighten every one. / Oh, when this living One we see, / We’ll fall as dead, we’ll finished be. / But then the Lord His comfort gives— / He once was dead, but now He lives. / Let every church just love Him more / His riches then He will outpour. / All other loves now lay aside; / Let’s take this Jesus, none beside. (Hymns #1184 stanzas 5-8)
    – Ancient One He is, yet fresher / Than the newly driven snow; / Eyes are as a flaming fire, / Feet as burnished brass aglow. / Tender eyes that gazed at Peter, / Now are as a burning flame; / And the voice that whispered, “Mary,” / Many waters now became. / John, once formerly reclining / On His breast, now fell as dead, / When he saw Him thus in spirit, / As He is, exhibited. / Lo, the Christ of Revelation! / See Him, thus intensified, / That the lampstands, His expression, / May be strengthened and supplied. (Hymns #1183 stanzas 3-4)
    – In the secret of His presence / How my soul delights to hide! / Oh, how precious are the lessons / Which I learn at Jesus’ side! / Earthly cares can never vex me, / Neither trials lay me low; / For when Satan comes to tempt me, / To the secret place I go. (Hymns #553 stanza 1)

By knowing the Lord as the God who lives forever and ever, we can be assured of His presence in our spirit all the time…This is not a feeling, an imagination, or a psychological illusion. After Abraham followed God for many years, he began to develop a deep knowledge of the Lord, and he “planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God” (Gen. 21:33). Daniel was called the “servant of the living God” (Dan. 6:20). When he was thrown into the lion’s den, God sealed up the mouth of the lions, and they did not hurt him (v. 22). George Müller said, “If you walk with God and look to Him for your constant help, the living God will guarantee that He will not fail you. One elderly brother in the Lord…testifies that God has never failed him. Through severe difficulties, heavy trials, and deep poverty and needs, I have learned that God has never failed me. I can trust in Him through His grace that He will always supply me. I love to speak of His name.” One writer said that Martin Luther was once apprehensive of the danger facing him; he was full of anxiety and fear. He knew that he could not be freed from it until he grasped hold of some power from on high. While he sat alone, he wrote with his fingers these words on his table: “He is living forever and ever!…” With these words he rejoiced and was revived…Men are like lighted lamps—sooner or later they will be extinguished. He alone is the true Light, the source of all lights, and He alone abides forever. Brothers and sisters, the living God whom Abraham called upon, whom Daniel served, whom Müller trusted, and whom Martin Luther knew is the God to whom we also belong and whom we also serve. We should worship Him and praise His name with joy!

Christ’s eyes are for watching, observing, searching, judging by enlightening, and infusing. We must experience all these different aspects of His eyes, especially the aspect of infusing. His eyes infuse us with all that He is. His infusing eyes are a flame of fire which is continually burning. This can be proved by our experience…Since the day we were saved, Christ’s eyes have been like a burning fire enlightening and infusing us. His eyes also stir us up to be hot. After Christ has looked at us, we can never be cold as we once were. By looking at us, He burns us and stirs us up in the Lord…Perhaps when we are trying to hide something from our wives, the Lord comes with seven shining eyes piercing into our being and exposing our true condition. I have had this kind of experience hundreds of times. When I was arguing with others, especially with my intimate ones, the shining eyes of Christ were upon me, and I could not go on speaking. His shining stopped my mouth.

The Lord has seven eyes to search, judge, enlighten, and infuse us with what He is.

May we open to His shining, searching, and infusing today, and may we say Amen to His shining.

He is also the One who was dead and now lives forever; we are here today but we’re gone tomorrow, but He lives forever and ever.

Nothing establishes us more than the assured presence of the Lord in our spirit.

Lord Jesus, we open to Your shining, searching, judging, and infusing. Infuse us with what You are. Cause us to know You as the One who lives forever and ever! We love You, Lord, and we trust in You!
