Christ, the Fighting General, is the Word of God, and His Fighting is His Speaking

The victorious Christ will come as the fighting General with His army to fight Antichrist, the kings under him, and their armies at Armageddon (Rev. 19:11-21).

In His second coming, the victorious Christ will come as the fighting General with His army to fight Antichrist, the kings under him, and their armies at Armageddon, and He is the Word of God to defeat and utterly destroy the enemy.

Hallelujah for our victorious Christ! He has individually won the victory over Satan and all his kingdom of darkness, and His victory is our position and standing today in spiritual warfare.

First, when He was on earth, the victorious Christ in His earthly ministry defeated the devil by speaking the word of God, and He destroyed his works. When the devil tempted Him, He resisted the enemy and spoke the word of God in a living way. Also, He came to destroy the works of the devil, and His work and living on earth was the undoing of Satan’s works.

When Christ was on the cross, in His crucifixion the victorious Christ cast out the ruler of this world, He destroyed the devil, He caused the rulers and authorities to be stripped off, and He nullified death. Wow!

Human death is ugly, painful, and terrible, but in His crucifixion Christ was more than victorious – He caused all authorities and rulers to be stripped off and be put to open shame, He nullified death, He destroyed the devil, and He cast out Satan – the ruler of this world!

Then, in His resurrection, the victorious Christ is victorious over death – He defeated death, He rose from the dead, He now lives forever, and He even has the keys of death and of Hades.

Christ’s resurrection was God’s approval of all He has done at the cross, and at the same time His resurrection was for Christ to be living forever, having defeated death and holding the keys to death and Hades! Hallelujah!

Then in His ascension the victorious Christ led a triumphant procession where He led captive those taken captive, and He celebrated His victory!

He defeated Satan, led him and his angels in a triumphant procession to the Father, and He led us into Himself, even to the highest point in the universe, and seated us – the believers in Christ – in Christ Himself, in ascension!

Now we are no longer under the usurping hand of Satan – we have been delivered from Satan, and we are children of God and members of Christ! Hallelujah for our victorious Christ in His incarnation, human living, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension!

Today we want to see the victorious Christ who returns as a fighting General to defeat Satan and his armies, and He is the word of God who destroys the enemy! Hallelujah!

The Victorious Christ in His Return is Faithful and True, and in Righteousness He Judges and Makes War

Rev. 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sits on it called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.Our victorious Christ will return – He will come as the fighting General with His army to fight Antichrist, the kings under him, and their armies at Armageddon (see Rev. 19:11-21).

First, Christ will have a wedding feast, and then, He will come as a fighting General with His bride – who is composed of the overcoming believers as His army – to fight Antichrist, the kings under him, and all their armies at Armageddon.

If you read the record in Rev. 19 you will be shocked to realize that Antichrist leads the rebellious mankind to declare war on God, and they actually think they will win! Wow!

Today many nations worry about nuclear weapons, and there’s a chance that Antichrist and his armies have the latest and the best weapons in the world, but they will be defeated by Christ as the Word of God!

What a consummation of presumption, rebellion, and even stupidity to try to have war with God!

We don’t know how long the war at Armageddon will last, but we know that when Christ as the Word of God speaks, the sword comes out of His mouth, and that sword is much more powerful than any nuclear weapon!

Christ is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war (v. 11). Christ is faithful and true both to God and to us, those who believe into Him. In His faithfulness He defeats and destroys those who oppose God and persecute the believers.

Also, Christ is true in carrying out God’s economy and in caring for those who believe into Him.

We who believe in the Lord can read the Bible and see “the end of the story” – He will care for us all the way to the end, and whatever He said He will do, He will do it, so we just need to have faith in His word.

After His wedding feast, Christ will come as a fighting General with His bride, the overcoming believers who are His army, to fight Antichrist, the kings under him, and their armies at Armageddon...Christ is called “Faithful and True” (Rev. 19:11). Christ is faithful both to God and to those who believe in Him. In His faithfulness He defeats and destroys those who oppose God and persecute the believers. He is true in carrying out God’s economy and in caring for those who believe in Him. He is trustworthy, and with Him there is no falsehood. Witness Lee, Life-study of Revelation, pp. 633, 635-636

He is righteous, and in righteousness He will defeat Antichrist and He will judge the rebels who follow him. He judges and makes war.

On the one hand, Christ has already decreed the order that Satan with his armies would be destroyed. However, as we know, once the judge gives an order or a decree, the police has to come in and enforce this.

When Christ comes to judge Antichrist, Antichrist will be utterly rebellious; thus, there’s the need for Christ to fight to subdue this rebellion and judge thee rebels in righteousness.

God has already decreed concerning Satan that he has to be destroyed; Christ has defeated and even destroyed the devil on the cross, and in His second coming the Lord will come as a fighting General to enforce and apply the righteous judgement of God upon Satan and his followers.

Today the wars that are in the world may not be righteous, but this war, the war that the victorious fighting General Jesus Christ as the word of God is fighting, this war is righteous, for it is carrying out the righteous judgment of God.

Christ fights to enforce righteousness and maintain it, and He fights according to righteousness.

We praise You, our victorious Christ, for You are Faithful and True, and in Righteousness You will return to judge Satan, make war with him, and utterly destroy him! Lord, You are our fighting General, and we want to be the armies that follow You in war. We love You, Lord, we join ourselves to You, and we want to be part of Your overcoming bride, Your newly married bride who joins You in the final fight at Armageddon. Lord, we trust in You, we agree with Your verdict over the enemy, and we want to be fully one with You in Your victory today!

Christ, the Fighting General, is the Word of God, and His Fighting is His Speaking

Rev. 19:13 And He is clothed with a garment dipped in blood; and His name is called the Word of God. The fighting General, the Warrior, is the Word, and His fighting will be the speaking of the word of God; as the Lord fights, He speaks for God and expresses God (v. 13; 2 Thes. 2:8).Christ, the fighting General, the Warrior, is called the word of God; His fighting will be the speaking of the word of God (Rev. 19:13).

When Christ was on earth, the way He defeated the enemy and his temptations was by the word of God (see Matt. 4); again, in His second coming, the Lord will come as the word of God, and He will destroy Satan by His word!

When Christ comes the second time with His overcomers, He will come as the fighting General, and His name will be the word of God. Out of His mouth proceeds a sharp sword, that with it He might smite the nations.

This One who makes war is the word of God, and He fights by speaking the word of God.

We don’t know exactly what will happen at Armageddon or how long the battle will last, but we know that, when Christ speaks the word of God, Antichrist, the false prophet, and all his armies will be destroyed.

When the word of God says, Satan, go to the abyss! – he will go to the abyss. The word of God is the definition of God, the explanation of God, and the expression of God.

In the gospel of John we see that Christ came as the embodied Word of God (John 1:1, 14), and He imparted grace and life to God’s chosen people. He was full of grace and reality, and He spoke the words of grace, imparting life into those who received Him.

But in the book of Revelation we see that Christ as the Word of God comes to fight God’s enemy, and He cannot tolerate disorder and rebellion, so He will fight against the enemy.

As Christ as the fighting General fights against the enemy, He will speak that God is sovereign, righteous, and orderly; He will declare that God is the God over everyone, and that He can’t tolerate rebellion against His authority.

The Lord’s fighting in the war at Armageddon will be a powerful speaking; it will tell Satan, the Antichrist, the false prophet, and the entire universe that God is sovereign, no one can rebel against Him, and He is a God of order, so all rebellion will be swept away.

As the Word of God, Christ will speak and the sword coming out of His mouth will defeat the enemy. He will clean up the universe, and He will remove all rebellion. When He says, Go away, Satan! – the enemy cannot withstand that.

When the Commander-in-chief speaks, He gives the command, and the one new man will be there; most likely what we will say is AMEN! When the fighting General as the Word of God says, Go to the abyss, Satan! – we will say, Amen! Amen!

We all want to be there and agree with the Lord, and even be one with Him as the word of God to destroy the enemy, put Satan away, and participate in the victorious celebration of the ultimate victory over the evil one! Amen!

Lord Jesus, You are our fighting General who will return to be the Word of God, and You will speak the word of God to completely destroy Satan, the Antichrist, and all their armies! We want to be one with You, Lord, and be filled with Your word in a living way today! Today we say Amen to Your word, so that You as the word of God would operate in us, divide the soul and the spirit, dwell in us, and regulate us from within. Amen, Lord, we want to be part of the new man as the bride who accompanies You in that day when You as the Word of God will carry out God’s final judgment over Your enemy! Amen, Amen, Amen!
