Functioning in Coordination and doing Everything through the Cross and by the Spirit

February 28, 2017 by aGodMan 6 Comments

When one member functions, he moves “straight forward” to fulfill his function, and the other members accommodate him by moving in the same direction, some moving “backward” and others moving “sideways,” doing everything through the cross and by the Spirit to dispense Christ into others for the sake of His Body (Ezek. 1:9, 11b-12; 1 Cor. 12:14-30). Crystallization-Study of Ezekiel, outline 4

In his epistles Paul speaks of the different functions that the members of the Body of Christ have, and in Ezekiel 1:9-12 we see a beautiful picture of the functioning in coordination which we need in the church life. A picture is truly worth a thousand words, and when it comes to the matter of […]

Our Coordination as Living Creatures is not in Ourselves but in God and by His Grace

February 27, 2017 by aGodMan 8 Comments

The coordination among us Christians is not something of ourselves. What we have in ourselves does not coordinate—it divides. Whatever we are in ourselves, whatever we have in ourselves, and whatever we do in ourselves result not in coordination but in division and separation. However, we have the eagle’s wings, and with the eagle’s wings we can be one and we can be coordinated. Witness Lee, Life-study of Ezekiel, msg. 8

Last week we have seen who the four living creatures are and how this applies to our Christian experience; this week we want to see the coordination of the four living creatures, which is the key to understanding the vision in Ezekiel 1. Chapter one of Ezekiel is the deepest chapter in the Bibles, and […]

God’s Life in us Causes us to be Transcendent so that we may Express God Corporately

February 25, 2017 by aGodMan 7 Comments

Rom. 8:37 But in all these things we more than conquer through Him who loved us.

The four living creatures in Ezekiel 1 are a corporate expression of Christ, the One on the throne, living out the life of Christ in a corporate way; they express Christ in His ruling and reigning (the face of a lion), in His serving and sacrificing (the face of an ox), in His being a […]

Being Bold and Victorious like Lions toward sin, and Willing to Serve man like an Ox

February 24, 2017 by aGodMan 3 Comments

Rom. 12:1 I exhort you therefore, brothers, through the compassions of God to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service.

The four living creatures in Ezekiel 1 are the unique and complete expression of Christ; they have the face of a man (a genuine and proper man), of a lion (boldness, vigor, strength, victory, and reigning), of an ox (willing to labor, bear the burden, and sacrifice), and eagle (powerful, buoyant, and transcendent). The appearance […]

Being Proper Human Beings – being Jesusly Human – who live out the Humanity of Jesus

February 23, 2017 by aGodMan 10 Comments

We need to be human not by our natural humanity but by the humanity of Jesus; this is to be “Jesusly human.” In the Epistles we are taught by the apostles to be proper human beings, in particular how to be proper husbands, wives, and parents (Eph. 5:22—6:9; Col. 3:18—4:1). Crystallization-Study of Ezekiel, outline 3

The four living creatures in Ezek. 1 have four faces, but the face in the front is of a man; this indicates that we must have a proper humanity, bearing the appearance of a man, by living out the humanity of Jesus in our daily living. The four living creatures bear the appearance of a […]

The Living Creatures are the means for God’s Manifestation, Move, and Administration

February 22, 2017 by aGodMan 7 Comments

Man is the means of God’s manifestation, man is the means of God’s move, and man is the means of God’s administration. In God’s eyes and in God’s hands, man has such an important position. Witness Lee

Chapter one of Ezekiel is both deep, profound, and fascinating; the four living creatures, in particular, are very interesting, for with them we see the appearance of a man, and they manifest God’s glory, they are the means for God to move, and they are the means for God to administrate on the throne. The […]

God’s Central Thought and Arrangement are Related to Man, for Man is to Express God

February 21, 2017 by aGodMan 5 Comments

The Christ whom the church must express is the man on the throne (Rev. 3:21; cf. Acts 7:56). It is man who fulfills God’s plan, it is man who expresses God, it is man who defeats the enemy, and it is man who brings the kingdom of God into the human race; God needs a man. Witness Lee

It is very significant that the One sitting on the throne in Ezek. 1 has the likeness of a man and the four living creatures bear the appearance of a man; this shows us that the four living creatures are the corporate expression of the man on the throne (see Ezek. 1:5, 26). Ezekiel 1 […]
