this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Praise the Lord – this is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it (Psa. 118:24)! This day is none other than the resurrection day, the Lord’s day, the day on which Christ resurrected and was set by God as the cornerstone for God’s building (Acts 20:7; 1 […]

Christ is the Victor toward the enemy and a Drinker to His overcoming believers

In Psalm 110 we see Christ as the King (having the sceptre and ruling over the whole earth), the Priest (according to the order of Melchizedek), the Warrior (executing judgement upon the nations), and the Drinker (drinking from the brook by the way). In the last few verses of this psalm we see that Christ […]

whenever we as God’s people exalt Christ there will be restoration and revival!

After we are saved, we daily call on the name of the Lord and we daily learn to give Him the first place in all things. We as regenerated people need to come together in the meetings of the church and exalt Christ by our singing, our praising, our praying, and even our shouting, Praise the Lord! We shouldn’t be silent – we need to exalt Christ by declaring, Oh, Lord Jesus, You are right now at the right hand of God – we exalt You! We give You the preeminence in our church life, our family life, our work life, our personal life, and in everything! We exalt You Lord Jesus! [continue reading online]

man has a spirit to contact God and a mind to be continually set on the spirit

Though we may think we are “normal” and “we think as normal people do”, our mind is sick with a terrible disease – we need to have our mind healed, cleansed, purified, and even lifed by setting it on our mingled spirit again and again! We don’t “switch on once and for all” by turning to the Lord in the morning – all throughout the day we continually need to set our mind on our spirit! “Lock your mind on the spirit” (as if you would lock the GPS to the destination) and don’t go to the left or to the right! May our mind be occupied with Christ to the point that we are sick with love for the Lord! [continue reading this portion online]

Enjoying Christ as our Provision, as seen in the book of Exodus (SA students camp summer 2011)

… once we are in the wilderness what should we do? We should not start complaining but rather tell the Lord: “Lord, You are the One that led me here. Lord, I am thirsty. Give me a drink!” Some of us have been in the church life for quite a while and our experience of the Lord is just not rich anymore and we do not understand. We have been eating all these years but not drinking enough! We need to drink! [continue reading this sweet sharing from a student in South Africa from his top enjoyment in a recent student camp]

living the divine life by minding the things of the Spirit and being led by the Spirit

We need to mind the things of the Spirit by setting our mind on the things of the Spirit (Rom. 8:5-6; 1 Cor. 2:14) – these things are the deep things of God (1 Cor. 2:10-11) concerning Christ as our all-inclusive portion. We should not allow our mind to be absent, vacant, empty, wandering around, flying all over the earth – we need to learn to set our mind on the spirit and on the things of the Spirit! Our mind needs to be busy and occupied with the things concerning Christ not only in the meetings but also in our daily life, our family life, our school life, at work, etc. [continue reading this portion of enjoyment from Romans 8 online]

being according to the spirit by learning to activate the law of the Spirit of life

How do we activate the law of the Spirit of life in our being? What are the conditions that need to be created and maintained so that the law of the Spirit of life would automatically be switched on and operate? From the moment we wake up in the morning, we need to exercise our spirit by calling on the Lord’s name and worship Him, praise Him, and exalt Him! This organic practice of opening to the Lord will gird our spirit and strengthen it to guard our whole being from any dark thought, excessive emotion, or desire of the flesh!
