Taking Christ as Life and Everything for us to be Transformed and Built up Together

September 24, 2016 by aGodMan 5 Comments

We all need to see that the goal of the Lord’s recovery is to recover Christ as life and everything to us so that we may be transformed and built up (Col. 3:4, 10-11; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 2:21-22). When we are built up together, God will have the building (Matt. 16:18; Rev. 21:2-3, 10-11). This building is the priesthood (1 Pet. 2:5, 9). #ExoCS4, msg. 5

I have never before considered the tabernacle and the priesthood together, but this week I have seen something further concerning this: the Lord’s heart’s desire is the building, the main emphasis of the Bible is life and building, and the tabernacle (the building of God) is actually the same as the priesthood (the built up […]

The Church is Composed of God’s Redeemed People as a Spiritual House and a Priesthood

September 20, 2016 by aGodMan 4 Comments

In the Old Testament the house and the priesthood were separated, but in the New Testament the spiritual house is the priesthood, and the priesthood is the spiritual house (1 Pet. 2:5). The twofold function of the church — that of the dwelling place and that of the priesthood — is typified by the tabernacle and the priesthood (Eph. 2:21-22; 1 Pet. 2:5, 9). #ExoCS4, msg. 5

After seeing that the entire Bible speaks mainly of life and building, we today come to the matter of the tabernacle and the priesthood: the tabernacle is the priesthood, and the church is both a spiritual house and the priesthood. The basic and central revelation of the Bible are life and building; from Gen. 2 all […]

Seeing that Life and Building are the Basic and Central Revelation of the Bible

September 19, 2016 by aGodMan 8 Comments

The Lord’s recovery is the recovery of life and building for us to be built up to be the church as the house of God and the Body of Christ (Eph. 2:21-22; Rom. 12:4-5; 1 Cor. 15:45b; 12:12, 27; Col. 3:4, 15; 2:19). The central vision of the Bible—the building of the house of God—can be considered the highlight of the Bible and also the essence extracted from the Bible (Exo. 25:8; 40:17-35; Matt. 16:18; Eph. 2:21-22; 1 Tim. 3:15; Rev. 21:2-3). Witness Lee

The entire Bible speaks of life and building, and when we look at the priesthood in the book of Exodus we realize that it is inseparable from the building of God. As one of the hymns says, holy priests are living stones (see Hymns #849). The building in the type of the tabernacle and the […]

Experiencing Christ at the Two Altars to be Incorporated into God as seen in Psa. 84

September 15, 2016 by aGodMan 8 Comments

1 Cor. 12:12 For even as the body is one and has many members, yet all the members of the body, being many, are one body, so also is the Christ.

Psalm 84 is a wonderful and mysterious psalm speaking of the psalmist’s appreciation and longing for the house of God; the two altars are mentioned in particular, as they refer to the leading consummations of the work of the incarnated Triune God for us to be incorporated into God. The psalmist loves the lovely tabernacles […]

The Type, Reality, and Consummation of the Tabernacle, God’s Corporate Expression

September 12, 2016 by aGodMan 5 Comments

The consummation of the tabernacle as the conclusion of the complete Bible is the New Jerusalem, a great corporate God-man as the eternal, enlarged, universal, divine-human incorporation of the processed and consummated Triune God with His regenerated, transformed, and glorified tripartite people (Rev. 21:3, 22; 22:17a). #ExoCS4, msg. 4

The consummation of all God’s work in Exodus is the tabernacle, and in its spiritual significance, we can see the type, the reality, and the consummation of the tabernacle, which reveal the goal of God’s economy to have a corporate people to be His dwelling place for His expression and representation in eternity. The Passover, […]

Serving God according to the Vision of God and the Pattern Shown on the Mountain

September 7, 2016 by aGodMan 2 Comments

God’s desire is to have a dwelling place on this earth. He has planned this; He has a pattern, a pattern according to His pleasure. We must know this; we must realize that God’s intention in the universe is to have a dwelling place built among His people and with His people on this earth. Witness Lee, The Vision of God's Building

God saved us and is constantly saving us so that we may serve Him, and we need to serve Him not according to our own natural concept but according to the vision of God and of the pattern shown on the mountain, the vision of God’s economy. The experience of the children of Israel in […]

Being those who Know our God and who Show Strength and Take Action (Dan. 11:32)

September 3, 2016 by aGodMan 2 Comments

Knowing God can strengthen us. Many times we are weak because we do not know God. Our strength depends on the degree of our knowledge of God. Only those who know God will show strength and take action [Dan. 11:32]. To take action means “to expand.” Those who know God will be strong to expand their horizons and extend their boundaries and break new ground for God. On the earth today God needs those who would know Him in this way. W. Lee, Crucial Truths in the Holy Scriptures

Our desire as human beings created in God’s image is to know God – we yearn not just to know about God but to know Him personally, intimately, by being in Him and by being one with Him. We are created in God’s image and according to His likeness, and nothing on earth satisfies us […]
