The name of Jesus is above every name, and the name of Jesus is for us to believe into, be baptised into, be saved, be healed, be washed, call upon, and breathe in; when we call on the Lord’s name we’re saved, rescued, enjoy His lovingkindness and His salvation, we receive the Spirit, we drink the spiritual water and eat the spiritual food, enjoy the Lord’s riches, and stir ourselves up.
Lord Jesus, we want to call on Your name today! Oh Lord Jesus! Amen, Lord, we love calling on your wonderful name, for in Your name we are saved. Save us much more in Your life as we call on Your name. Fill us with Yourself. Rescue us from any problem and distress. Feed us with spiritual food and give us the spiritual drink. Amen, Lord, we call on Your name and we enjoy Your riches today! Amen!
How wonderful is the name of Jesus! This name is above any other name. In His name all knees shall bow and every time will openly confess.
He humbled Himself to the uttermost, but God highly exalted Him, and gave Him to have the name above every name!
Whether you love Jesus or hate Jesus, whether you’re for Him or not for Him, everyone knows and realises that Jesus is a special name.
This is the name given by God to the God-man born of Mary, the virgin. The Holy Spirit came to be the essence of conceiving this One, and His name is Jesus.
Jesus is Jehovah our Saviour and our salvation. He is our Saviour, saving us from anything negative and bringing us into the enjoyment of Himself.
He is the I AM, the I am who I am; He is Jehovah, always here for us and always ready to dispense Himself into us as the reality of all that we need.
Jesus is the all-inclusive One, the reality of all the positive things and whatever we as His people need. Whatever we need, He is. If we just call on His name, we enjoy all that He is.
We believers in Christ have been given the name of Jesus to call upon and enter into the full enjoyment of the all-inclusive Christ as the reality of the good land. Praise the Lord for the name of Jesus!
We Christians are those who call on the name of Jesus! Jesus is our Lord, Jesus is our life, and Jesus is our everything! Amen, we love the name of Jesus!
The Name of Jesus is Above Every Name: the Name of Jesus is for us to Believe into, be Baptised into, Be Saved, be Healed, and call upon!

The name of Jesus is the name above every name; the name of Jesus is for us to believe into (John 1:12). Whoever calls on the name of the Lord receives the Lord Jesus Himself.
As many as receive Him, to them He gives the authority to become children of God, those who are born of God.
Those who believe into the name of Jesus are children of God. When we believe into the name of Jesus, we are joined to Him in an organic union; believing brings us into Himself and brings Him into us.
We need to help others get saved simply by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus and believing into Him.
The name of Jesus is for us to be baptised into (Acts 8:16; 19:5). We are baptised into the name of Jesus.
In Galatians 3:27 and Romans 6:3 we are also told that when we’re baptised, we’re actually baptised into Christ the person.
When we are put in the waters of baptism, we are baptised into the name of Jesus, which is the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 2819).
The name is the totality of the person; we are baptised into the name of Jesus to be put into the Lord Jesus!
We may not have realised this, but when we were baptised we were put into the very person of Jesus!
The name of Jesus is for us to be saved (Acts 4:12). When we believe in this name, we’re saved from God’s condemnation and judgment, and we are saved.
There’s no other name under heaven given among men in which we must be saved.
When we call on the name of Jesus, we are saved; even more, as we keep calling on the name of the Lord, we are continually and much more saved in the Lord’s life.
We need to be saved not only initially from our sins and from eternal perdition but even more, from our temper, our mood, our doubts, our disappointments, and from our discouragement.
We need to be saved from our unbelief and our problems. When we call on the name of Jesus, we are saved!
The name of Jesus is for us to be healed (Acts 3:6; 4:10). Peter told the lame man at the gate of the temple that in the name of Jesus the Nazarene, he shall rise up and walk.
It is in the name of Jesus that we are healed; when we call on His name, He as the Physician heals us. When we call on the Lord’s name, we are healed from any kind of sickness.
The name of Jesus is for us to be washed, sanctified, and justified (1 Cor. 6:11).
We were in many things that the world is in right now, but we were washed, but we were sanctified, but we were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God.
We were defiled persons, but in the name of Jesus and in the Spirit of God we were washed, sanctified, and justified.
We need not only the washing of the blood but even more the washing in the name of Jesus and the Spirit of God.
When we call on the Lord’s name, all defilement and impurity is removed from us.
The name of Jesus is for us to call upon (Rom. 10:13; 1 Cor. 1:2; Acts 9:14; Gen. 4:26).
Calling on the name of the Lord is not something we invented today; it is a practice that started with the second generation of man, for Enosh realised he was a frail man, so he called on the name of Jehovah.
We believers in Christ are those who call on the name of the Lord at every time and in every place, and we call with those who call on the name of the Lord.
When the church began, the distinct sign of being a Christian was that they called on the name of Jesus; this is what made them Christians and this is also what made them arrestable by the persecutors.
Today many have lost this practice, this living and vital Christian practice, of calling on the name of the Lord.
But we are learning to call on the name of the Lord and, as we call, we are filled with Him, we are saved, and we enjoy all His riches!
Christ today is the Spirit to be the heavenly air for us to breathe; when we exercise our spirit to call upon the name of the Lord, we breathe in the Spirit and thereby receive the Spirit (John 20:22; Gal. 3:2; 1 Thes. 5:17; Lam. 3:55-56; Hymns, #255).
Whether we are in the lowest pit, in the greatest despair, or filled with joy and happiness, we can and should call on the name of the Lord, for our calling is our breathing.
We breathe out ourselves and we breathe the Lord in. We breathe out our sorrow, sickness, and sin, and we breathe in His fullness.
We breathe out our disappointment, our discouragement, and our hurts, and we breathe in Christ with His healing, His joy, and His peace. May we be those who call on the name of Jesus to enjoy all that He is!
Lord Jesus, we call upon Your name! We believe into Your name! Your name is above every name. Amen, we believe into the name of Jesus! Jesus Christ is Lord! Thank You, Lord, we were baptised into Your name. Hallelujah, we were baptised into the name of Jesus, and we were brought into an organic union with the Lord through baptism! Hallelujah, in the name of Jesus we are saved. Amen, Lord, we need to be saved today! Save us from our temper, our mood, and our problems by calling on Your name! We call on Your name to be healed! Amen, Lord, heal us from within from all our sickness and ailments! Hallelujah, the name of Jesus is for us to be washed, sanctified, and justified! Wash us, Lord, and cleanse us from any impurity and defilement as we call on the name of Jesus! Praise the Lord, we can call upon the name of Jesus to enjoy all that He is in our daily living! Amen, Lord, we exercise our spirit to breathe ourselves out and breathe You in by calling on the name of Jesus!
The Purpose of Calling on the Name of the Lord is to be Saved, Rescued, Enjoy His lovingkindness and Salvation, Receive the Spirit, Drink and Eat Him, Enjoy His Riches, and Stir ourselves up!

What is the purpose of calling on the name of the Lord? If we read the Bible, both in the Old and in the New Testament, we see many seekers of the Lord who called on the name of the Lord, and this calling has produced in them many wonderful things.
First of all, the purpose of calling on the name of the Lord is for us to be saved (Rom. 10:13). Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved (Acts 2:21).
We don’t need to convince others that Christ wants to do this and that in them; we simply need to help them call on the name of the Lord and be saved!
We call on the name of the Lord to be rescued from distress, trouble, sorrow, and pain (Psa. 18:6; 118:5; 86:7; 50:15; 81:7; 116:3-4). When we are in distress, we can call on the name of the Lord. When we’re in trouble, we can call on His name.
When we feel that everything and everyone around us is against us, when we sense the distress of Sheol, we can call on the name of the Lord.
We call on the name of the Lord to participate in the Lord’s lovingkindness, His mercy (Psa. 86:5). The Lord is good and ready to forgive and abundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon Him.
He is plenteous in mercy to all who call on His name. His mercies are new every morning. May we come to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace by calling on the name of the Lord.
The practical way for us to come to the Lord and enjoy His mercies is to call on the name of Jesus. Oh Lord Jesus!
We call upon the name of the Lord to partake of the Lord’s salvation (Psa. 116:2, 4, 13, 17).
We take the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord. When we call, we partake of the Lord’s salvation as a drink; we drink from His flowing salvation as we call on the name of the Lord!
May we draw water from the springs of salvation by calling on the name of the Lord! Amen, Lord Jesus!
We call on the name of the Lord to receive the Spirit (Acts 2:17, 21). When we call, we receive the Spirit, the reality of Jesus, to be our everything.
The easiest way for us to be filled with the Spirit is to call on the name of the Lord.
We call on the name of the Lord to drink the spiritual water and eat the spiritual food for satisfaction (Isa. 55:1-2, 6).
Calling on the Lord is like breathing, but it is also like spiritual drinking from the springs of salvation, and eating the Lord!
Whether we have money or not, if we are thirsty and hungry, we need to come to the Lord and call on His name, and we will eat the spiritual food and drink the spiritual water! Amen!
We call on the name of the Lord to enjoy the riches of the Lord (Rom. 10:12; 1 Cor. 12:3b; Deut. 4:7; Psa. 145:18).
He is so rich to all who call on Him! When we call on His name, we are in the Holy Spirit, and we enjoy the reality of all that He is.
Even though we may have problems, both in our personal life and in the church life, we can call on the name of the Lord and be saved – and even more, we enjoy His riches!
In the church in Corinth we see many problems, but again and again the apostle Paul encouraged them to call on the name of the Lord! As we call on the Lord’s name, we enjoy all His riches!
In the first epistle to Corinthians, against such a dark background of all the problems in that church, we see many aspects of Christ, at least twenty; we can enjoy Christ with His riches by calling on His name.
As we call on the name of the Lord, we are saved, we enjoy His riches, and we are uncomplicated and freed from any bondage! As we call on the name of the Lord, we stir ourselves up (Isa. 64:7).
May we be those who call on His name at every time and in every place!
Lord Jesus, we love calling on Your name! Oh Lord Jesus! Oh Looooord Jeeeesuuuus! As we call on Your name, we are saved! Hallelujah, we are saved by calling on the name of the Lord! As we call on Your name, we are rescued from distress, trouble, sorrow, and pain! Amen, Lord, even from the lowest pit, from the darkest despair, may we call on Your name to be saved and rescued! Oh Lord Jesus, we call on Your name to participate in Your lovingkindness and mercy. Your mercies are new every morning, and we can call on Your name to enjoy Your lovingkindness. Hallelujah, we drink from the springs of salvation by calling on the name of the Lord, and we can take the cup of salvation and call on the name of the Lord! Amen, Lord, save us! Fill us with Your Spirit as we call on Your name! Feed us and give us to drink as we call! May we enjoy Your riches by calling at all times! May we stir ourselves up by calling on the name of Jesus! Oh Lord Jesus! Amen, Oh, Lord Jesus!

- Hymns on this topic:
– To the Lord, the Jew, the Greek and everyone’s the same; / He is rich unto all men that call upon His name. / O Lord Jesus, what a joy to call and really live; / When breathing in Thy name, what pleasure Thou / to us dost give. / In the God of our salvation we may take delight, / Calling on His name at all times, though in bliss or blight. / I will call upon His name as long as I shall live, / Because He has inclined His ear, and grace so full does give. (Hymns #1083 stanzas 3-4)
– How we love the glorious name, / The name of Jesus! / ’Tis the name above all names— / On earth or in heav’n. / As we breathe this precious name, / Darkness and death cannot remain; / For we call and get the Person of that name! (Hymns #1086 stanza 1)
– I am breathing out my longings / In Thy listening, loving ear; / I am breathing in Thy answers, / Stilling every doubt and fear. / I am breathing every moment, / Drawing all my life from Thee; / Breath by breath I live upon Thee, / Lord, Thy Spirit breathe in me. (Hymns #255 stanzas 6-7)

How we love the name of Jesus! In this name we believe, we are saved, we are baptised, we are sanctified, we are washed, and we are healed.
When we call on the Lord’s name, we breathe Him in, we drink the living water, we are rescued from any distress, we receive the Spirit, and we partake of His lovingkindness.
God has highly exalted our Lord Jesus Christ whose name is above every name.
By calling on His name we get the person of that name – the Spirit.
Through our calling we are saved and healed to be in good health to enjoy Him richly.
This should also be our gospel preaching to lead others to call on Him with an open heart and open mouth to receive Him as their life and person.
Jesus! Jesus! Lord Jesus!
Amen! The name of Jesus is salvation with us, brother.
We can call on this name, be baptised into it, be saved by it, be healed, washed, sanctified & justified, and experience & enjoy the very person of our Saviour-God.
Above all, this wondrous name is for us to call upon in order to touch & enjoy Him. Oh, Lord Jesus!
The best way to touch the Lord Jesus, to enjoy the Lord Jesus, to sharw something of the Lord Jesus, is to go to the Lord and call Jesus!
Amen and Amen! To the glory of the Father, the name of Jesus is exalted above every name, beyond compare!
In this name is all we need! This name is closely linked to the person and to the Spirit.
