As believers in Christ, we want to be among those few who are chosen to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb to feast with Him as His overcoming believers, His bride, for one thousand years. Amen!
Today we live at the end of this age, and the Lord’s coming is very near. We can see the signs of His coming, and we can see the wickedness of man increasing day by day.
As those who love the Lord Jesus and enjoy a romance with Him in our Christian life, we yearn for His coming as the Bridegroom to rapture us as His bride.
Our daily life is with the Lord, in the Lord, and by the Lord, for we love Him, we open to Him, and we want to be one with Him in all the details of our daily living.
We choose not to be religious Christians but romantic Christians, those who love the Lord with the best love and do the first works until He comes.
We realise that the Lord is the Bridegroom, and we see that He’s coming not for all the believers in Christ but for His overcoming saints who are part of His bride.
So we aspire to be His bride. We want to be prepared as His bride. We want to cooperate with Him today so that, at His secret coming, He may rapture us as His bride.
As believers in Christ who live in the church life in the Lord’s recovery, we have the bride of Christ as the goal.
The Lord Jesus came as the Bridegroom. He has captured our heart, He lives in us, and we live a romantic Christian life with Him. We want to be the bride who makes herself ready.
On the personal side, we open to the Lord and enjoy Him, even seek to gain Him and live one spirit with Him. We allow Him to shine on us and expose anything that doesn’t match His holiness, righteousness, and glory, and we confess our sins.
We want to grow in life unto maturity, and we want to be beatified and perfected to match Him in every possible way. On the corporate side, we are built up together with the saints in the Body by allowing the Lord to build Himself into us and to build us in Himself.
We let Christ make His home in our hearts and we allow Him to live in us as our righteousness. How we yearn for the Lord to return soon!
How much we want to see Him face to face! Today, we want to live in His presence and allow the Lord to live Himself out of us as our righteousness so that we may be the overcoming ones.
Amen, may the Lord make us such ones, and may we live in such a way that is acceptable to Him and approved by Him at His coming, so that we may enter the marriage dinner of the Lamb in the next age!
Blessed are They who are Called to the Marriage Dinner of the Lamb! Amen, Lord, Make us Your Overcoming Ones!
Revelation 19:9 says, And he said to me, Write, Blessed are they who are called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true words of God.
Amen, we want to be those who are called to participate at the marriage dinner of the Lamb, the wedding feast!
If we prayerfully consider the divine revelation concerning the coming age and what the Lord will be doing then, we will realise that the bride of the Lamb is composed of the guests invited to the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
On the one hand, we want to be part of the bride of Christ, joining Him at the wedding feast in the millennium. On the other hand, we want to be the guests invited to the marriage dinner of the Lamb. Matthew 22:2 speaks of the wedding feast as a reward for the overcoming believers.
Not all the believers in Christ will enter into the wedding feast; some may come and try to get in, but only those who have overcome in their daily living will be qualified to be there.
If we are like the foolish virgins in Matthew 25:8-13, we will miss the wedding feast.
We do not know when the Lord will return; we hope He will come back soon, in our lifetime, but if He does not come when we’re still alive, if we fall asleep, we need to cooperate with the Lord to gain an extra portion of the Spirit in our vessel with our lamp.
If today we pay the price to gain the Spirit not only in our spirit by exercising our spirit but even more in our soul, in our vessel, we will be blessed on that day, for we will be called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb! Amen!
The marriage dinner of the Lamb is the wedding feast, the kingdom of one thousand years, which is one day in the eyes of God, as a reward to the overcoming believers (Matt. 22:2, 11-14; 2 Pet. 3:8).
The Lord Jesus as the Bridegroom is working to prepare us as His bride, and He wants to gain so many believers in Christ to be His overcoming believers, part of His bride, the guests called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
We need to ask the Lord to make this real to us, that is, to lead us as the Spirit of reality into all the reality of what He is, so that we may live Christ, express Christ, and be the overcoming believers today.
On that day, many will be there at the wedding feast, for the overcoming believers from all ages, continents, and countries will be with the Lord at the feast!
The wedding feast will be a reward only for the overcoming believers. To be called to the marriage dinner of Christ, which will usher the overcoming believers into the enjoyment of the millennium, is to be blessed.
Oh, what a blessing it is for us to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb! These are the true words of God: it is a true blessing to be at the wedding feast!
Today we rejoice very much when we are invited to the wedding feast of a couple who get married; this lasts just for a few hours, and our rejoicing is limited.
But we aspire and desire to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb for one thousand years, feasting with Him and enjoying Him in a special way, even as the top portion, in the millennium, together with all the overcoming saints!
The marriage dinner of the Lamb in Revelation 19:9 is the wedding feast in Matthew 22:2; this will be a reward to the overcoming believers.
It will be a privilege and a reward for us to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb. Only the overcoming believers are qualified to enter into the wedding feast.
Many are called, but few are chosen (Matt. 22:14). The Lord has called many – He calls everyone, and many answer His call. How happy is the Lord that many people answer the Lord’s call to come to Him!
But not many are chosen; only a few are chosen, for only a few are overcoming believers. To be called is to receive salvation (Rom. 1:7; 1 Cor. 1:2; Eph. 4:1), whereas to be chosen is to receive a reward.
All believers in Christ, all those who have received the Lord Jesus as their life and Saviour by repentance and faith in Him, are called.
We have the assurance that we are called, and we call ourselves the gathering of the called out ones, eklessia, the church. However, not many are chosen.
Only those who are chosen will be invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb. May we be those who cooperate with the Lord in this age so that we may be those chosen ones to enter the wedding feast in the next age!
Lord Jesus, we aspire to be part of Your bride, the overcoming saints who are called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb! Hallelujah, we have been called by God, and we have received the Lord’s salvation! Praise the Lord, today we can enjoy God’s salvation and we can cooperate with the Lord in His salvation to be produced as His overcoming believers! Amen, Lord, we want to be Your overcoming believers today. Save us from being defeated believers. Keep us turning to You in all things and concerning all things. Oh Lord, overcome in us. Be the overcoming One in us today. May we have the privilege of sharing the millennial kingdom as co-kings with Christ. May we be among the few who are chosen to be at the wedding feast, the marriage dinner of the Lamb! Oh Lord, we believe the true words of God and we say Amen to Your word! Operate in us both the willing and the working according to Your good pleasure. We want to give You our best cooperation today so that we may be invited to the wedding feast of Christ in the next age!
Only the Overcoming Believers will be Called to the Marriage Dinner of the Lamb!
Matthew 22:14 is a sobering word, even a warning from the Lord to all His disciples, Many are called but few are chosen. Merely being a Christian does not guarantee that we are chosen to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
Merely going to church or reading the Bible diligently doesn’t guarantee we will be at the wedding feast. Merely doing things for God and being involved in works for the Lord doesn’t automatically qualify us to be called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
May we receive the Lord’s mercy and grace today so that we may cooperate with Him, even allow Him to operate in us both the willing and the working for His good pleasure (Phil. 2:12; 4:13) so that we may work out our own salvation with fear and trembling today.
Only the overcoming believers will be called to the marriage dinner as a reward to them. Not all the saved ones will participate in it.
Most believers will experience 1 Corinthians 3:15, which says, If anyone’s work is consumed, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.
At the end of this age, when the Lord returns and judges us at His judgment seat, if we’re not rewarded but disapproved by the Lord, we will not perish but we will suffer loss.
Our work for the Lord may seem quite big and important, but if it does not pass the test of God’s fire, it will be burned, and we will suffer loss.
May we be the saved ones who build with gold, silver, and precious stones, the precious materials which can withstand the fire of God’s judgment, and not with wood, grass, and stubble.
At the judgment seat of Christ, it will be determined not whether or not we will be saved or perish but whether we will receive a reward from the Lord or suffer a loss.
Only the overcoming believers will be rewarded and called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb (Rev. 19:7, 9). The coming age of one thousand years, the age of the millennium, will be a unique, universal wedding feast.
During this time, the overcoming believers will be the bride of Christ and will feast with Him and reign with Him, enjoying the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
Most believers in Christ, however, will not be at the wedding feast, for they were not produced as overcoming believers during their lifetime on earth, so they need to go through a process to be produced as overcomers.
There will be no more enjoyment of Christ in the next age; there will only be the perfecting of the believers.
Many on that day will gnash their teeth and weep, for they will have much regret concerning their living on the earth during their lifetime, for they could have cooperated with the Lord to be produced as His overcomers. Oh Lord!
We don’t know whether we will be among those at the marriage dinner of the Lamb, especially as we know so much and we see so much, but we can give ourselves to the Lord and humble ourselves for Him to work Himself into us and make us His overcoming believers today.
As the age today grows increasingly darker and more wicked, as the evil intensifies and the wickedness prevails, many of the saints of the Lord are being worn out or drawn about by so many things, and they may not cooperate with the Lord’s inner operation.
May we receive the Lord’s mercy today to remain in His word, under His shining, being simple and opening to Him for Him to work in us and to produce us as His overcoming ones.
Yes, we have little power, and yes, we have the Lord’s name and His word; now we need to simply remain in His economy, enjoying Him and learning to live Him out.
How we yearn to be the overcoming believers who are called and qualified to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb in the next age! The Lord today is so rich, so sweet, and so wonderful to us, and we can just enjoy Him.
May we be His best enjoyers. May we feast on the Lord, with the Lord, and with the saints in the church life so that we may enjoy a foretaste of the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
The Father is preparing a wedding feast for His Son, and He is calling all who want to come in.
But for us to be qualified to be at this wedding feast, we need to be overcoming saints.
Only the overcoming saints can enjoy the Lord Jesus as a special portion in the next age at the wedding feast.
May we open to the Lord as never before and may we give Him the full ground in our being in this matter, even allowing Him to work Himself into us and build us up with the saints so that we may be His overcoming ones in this age!
Lord Jesus, we open to You with our reservations today. We just open, Lord, and we allow You to work in us. Operate in us both the willing and the working according to Your good pleasure, even as we work out our own salvation. We don’t want to be passive, Lord. We don’t want to be carried away by the flood of dissoluteness in this age. Save us from the enemy’s attacks and his wearing-out tactics. Oh Lord, as we live at the end of this age, we want to give You our best cooperation to be produced as the overcoming believers in this age. Amen, Lord, may we be those who overcome today so that we may be qualified to be at the wedding feast in the next age. May we be among the few who are chosen to be at the marriage dinner of the Lamb. Have mercy on us, Lord, and keep us in the enjoyment of Christ. Keep us enjoying You both personally and corporately today. Keep us in our spirit. Oh Lord, we give ourselves to You today. Make us Your overcoming ones. We can’t do it, we can’t be it, and we can’t make it, but we open! Amen, Lord, be the overcoming One in us! Overcome in us. Make us Your overcoming ones!

- Hymns on this topic:
– Overcomers Christ will take, / Those who all for Him forsake, / Those who of first love partake— / Win in time! / All the deadness overcome, / With the living Christ be one, / Toward the goal now swiftly run— / Win in time! (Hymns #1304 stanza 5)
– Oh, what a joy it is preparing / For our wedding with the Lord, / E’en in the tribulations sharing / For the bliss of such reward! / Oh, with what rapture and rejoicing / Shall the wedding day begin; / And then a thousand years of dining / At the marriage feast with Him! (Hymns #1315 stanzas 3-4)
– Lord, may Your portion in us / Continually increase / That we may be invited / Unto that wedding feast. / And keep us always watching— / At morning, night, or noon— / For the wedding day that’s coming / Very soon. / Oh, the wedding day is coming, / Is coming very soon, / When the Bride shall be prepared / And shall marry her Bridegroom. / Oh, what love and consecration / Should all our hearts attune / For that wedding day that’s coming / Very soon. (Hymns #1316 stanza 3 and chorus)

Dear brother, blessed are they who are called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb! Amen!
May we be those who are overcoming today, in all the situations of our daily life, so that we may be the guests at the wedding feast, that is, the components of the bride who will feast with Christ and reign with Him for one thousand years! Many are called, but few are chosen.
Much Grace, brother. Our God desires a bride for Himself, oh, how deep and sweet His heart is! His love, His touch,
oh that Christ making his home in our heart so we can become beautiful and filled with the Spirit to prepare us and become as His bride!
The judgment seat of Christ will decide whether we are rewarded or suffer great loss.
May we be those who are overcoming today so that we can also be rewarded.
To be blessed in Rev 19:9 is to be approved by the Lord at His judgment seat, to have the invitation to the wedding feast as a reward to the overcoming believers, be ushered into the enjoyment of the millennial kingdom, be part of His bride and have the privilege of being co-kings with Christ. Wow, what a blessing!
This is because “many are called, but few are chosen” and blessed.
May our life and work be approved at Your judgment seat as the called and chosen faithful! In this life, constitute us those who set our hope not on transient earthly material gains but on the eternal true words of God!
Overcoming believers who enjoy a special portion of Christ at the dinner of the Lamb is our goal!
What a blessing it is to be called to the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
This gracious invitation is extended to all believers.
Regrettably, only a few will be chosen because so many will excuse themselves from the Master’s invitation.
Christ must be our special portion today if we are to have any chance of enjoying Him as our portion during the unique wedding feast of 1,000 years.
Forgiveness of sins and becoming a disciple are but steps towards the ultimate goal of being mutually mingled with Christ.
As the apostle Paul said: “For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” This is the goal toward which we strive…
It is one thing to be called to salvation but it is another matter to be chosen to participate in the wedding feast, the marriage dinner of the Lamb.
Only the overcoming believers are blessed to be invited to the wedding feast as the bride of the Lamb as a reward. The foolish virgins (also believers) will miss it.
