We need to labor on the all-inclusive Christ in order to have a surplus of Christ to bring to the church meetings both for our enjoyment corporately and for the corporate worship of God our Father; we worship God in spirit and truthfulness, that is, in our spirit and with the Christ we have experienced and enjoyed.
We need to have a governing vision regarding our Christian meetings; we meet together not only so that we pray (in a prayer meeting) or to praise the Lord and remember Him (in the Table meeting), to listen to a message (in a ministry meeting) or to enjoy the Lord with the saints (in a home meeting).
When we come together with the saints, we do it so that we may exhibit Christ.
We meet with companions, with the saints, and with the young people, for the sole purpose that we may exhibit Christ.
When the serving saints come together, it is not only for coordination that they meet, but it is for the exhibition of Christ.
When the elders come together to fellowship at least once a week concerning the matters related to the church, they meet to exhibit Christ.
Whenever we meet with the saints, we meet in the Lord’s name and for the purpose of enjoying Christ and exhibiting Christ.
This is why it is so important for us to bring something of Christ to the meeting; it is very important for us to experience Christ, enjoy Christ, and gain Christ during the week, so that we may bring a surplus of Christ to the church meetings for the saints’ enjoyment in God’s presence and for our corporate worship of God the Father.
When we labor on Christ and gain Christ, we do this to meet our need first, and then to meet God’s need.
When we enjoy Christ at the first part of the Lord’s Table meeting, we partake of Christ to remember Him with joy.
Then, after the table is done, we are led by Christ as the Firstborn Son of God to worship the Father.
Our Father wants us to worship Him with a portion of Christ that is reserved for Him; we shouldn’t try to figure out in our mind what is this portion but rather, we should just exercise our spirit to worship God and offer Him the Christ we have enjoyed and experienced.
The Lord’s table meeting is not for us but for God to be satisfied; we are there to remember the Lord and to worship the Father.
So we cannot be in the meeting in a silent way but rather, we need to exercise our spirit to thank and praise the Lord, and then worship the Father with the Christ we have experienced.
It is actually the Christ within us that leads us to worship the Father after we partake of the bread and the cup, for He praises the Father in our praising.
The Father wants to be satisfied with the true worship offered by those who worship Him in spirit and truthfulness.
He has been waiting for many centuries for true worshippers, the proper persons who experience Christ, have a rich surplus of Christ, and offer Christ to the Father for His satisfaction.
We need to Worship God in Spirit with Christ as the Reality, Offering Christ to God for His Satisfaction and our True Worship
Whenever we come to a meeting, we should bring Christ, that is, our experiences of Christ, and we should exercise our spirit to be living.
We shouldn’t just wait for someone to call a hymn or utter a prayer; rather, even on our way to the meeting, we should begin to sing and call on the name of the Lord, and in the meeting, we should simply continue to exercise our spirit.
Our spirit needs to be released and come forth, and Christ will flow out of us in our gatherings with the saints.
We all need to learn to worship God in spirit and with Christ as the reality, that is, we need to exercise our spirit to offer the Christ we experienced to God for HIs satisfaction and for our true worship.
When our spirit is strong and our testimonies are rich, simple, and concise, the meeting will be rich, and God will be glorified.
The experience of the children of Israel is a picture of a proper Christian meeting (Deut. 12:6; 16:15-16).
God commanded them not to come before Him empty-handed when they came together to worship Him; they had to come with their hands full of the produce of their labor (Exo. 23:15; Deut. 12:11; 16:16).
When they came to worship in the place designated by God, they worshipped Him by offering to Him the top surplus of their labor on the land.
Similarly, for our worship of the Father, He requires that we come to Him with a harvest of Christ; thus, we need to come to the church meeting with the riches of Christ (John 4:23-24; Eph. 3:8).
This means that, every day, we need to labor on Christ so that we may have a harvest of Christ’s riches to bring to the church meetings for the corporate worship of God the Father (Deut. 12:6; 1 Cor. 14:26; John 4:23-24; Deut. 16:15-17).
We need to practice this daily, and we need to pray for one another that this would be our daily practice.
All the members of the Body have a particular function in the Body, and each member needs to bring its portion forward in the meetings.
Every believer in Christ has a portion that the Body needs, and the Father needs true worshippers.
As we hear of and realize our need to worship God in spirit and with Christ as the reality, we need to bring this to the Lord in prayer and ask Him to make it real to us in our experience and to bring all the saints into this experience.
We have been rooted and grounded in Christ, the good land, and now we live a life in the all-inclusive Christ by laboring on Him, producing Christ, enjoying Christ, sharing Christ with others, and offering Christ to God the Father so that He may enjoy Christ with us (John 4:23-24; 1 Cor. 14:26; Eph. 3:21; Rev. 5:13).
This kind of enjoyment and sharing is an exhibition of Christ to the entire universe (see Rev. 19:7), and this is a worship to God the Father and a shame to the enemy.
Day by day, we need to enjoy and experience Christ in His inward being, in His inward parts of peace (Phil. 1:8).
As we read the Gospels, we see the Lord’s thought, His desire, His intention, His love, His likes and dislikes, His emotions, and all the things within Him; these all were very tender and very rich toward God and in the presence of God.
Such a tender, sweet, intimate, and experiential Christ needs to become our enjoyment and experience, and we can offer Him as the peace offering to the Father.
As we experience Him in His inward parts in our daily walk by being one with the Lord in our inward parts, we experience Him infusing us with His concept, His thought, His likes and dislikes, His desire, His intent, and His purpose.
Then, we are really one with the Lord in His inward parts toward the Father, and when we worship the Father after the Lord’s table meeting, we will offer Him as the peace offering to the Father for His satisfaction.
Lord Jesus, we want to labor on the all-inclusive Christ in our daily life in order to have a surplus of Christ to bring to the church meetings for the corporate worship of God our Father. Amen, Lord, may we have a rich harvest of Christ so that we may bring the riches of Christ to the church meetings. We give ourselves to You, Lord, to experience You in Your inward parts so that Your inward parts of peace, joy, kindness, meekness, and love would become our inward parts. We give ourselves to You to labor on Christ to have a harvest of Christ’s riches to bring to the church meetings for the corporate worship of God the Father!
Experiencing Christ to Produce Christ and have a Surplus to Offer the Best Part to God the Father for His Joy
May the Lord have mercy on us and grant us to have the daily experience of Christ so that we may have our hands full of Christ when we come to the meeting to offer Christ to God for His joy and satisfaction.
When we come to the meeting, we shouldn’t come with our hands empty; rather, we need to have our hands full of the produce of Christ.
We need more than just a little of Christ to satisfy our own needs – we must produce enough of Him so that there will be a surplus remaining for others, and there would be the best part saved for God’s satisfaction.
We need to be the believers in Christ to diligently labor on Christ not only to bring forth enough of Christ to satisfy our own needs but also to have a surplus of Christ to meet the needs of others, and the best part reserved for the Lord.
It is crucial that we diligently labor on Christ to have our hands full of Christ, and then come to the church meetings to enjoy this rich and glorious Christ with God’s children and with God the Father Himself (1 Cor. 10:31; 14:26; John 4:23-24; Rom. 15:6).
When we come together, we have family worship; we are here together to offer God the corporate worship of God He desires, and He is satisfied with the Christ in us, especially with the best part of the Christ we have experienced.
The Father has been waiting for centuries that every Lord’s day He would feed on the best part of the Christ experienced and enjoyed by the children of God.
May this Lord’s day and week after week, month after month, and year after year we would have a higher development and richer enjoyment of Christ with God, even richer corporate worship of God by offering the best part we have enjoyed of Christ to God the Father for His satisfaction.
May all the local churches throughout Europe, Asia, Australia, India, Russia, China, South America, North America, and everywhere be filled with true worshippers of God who worship Him in spirit and truthfulness.
Whenever we come to the Lord’s table meeting to remember the Lord and worship the Father, we must come with the riches of Christ produced by our daily laboring on Christ.
To worship God with Christ is to worship Him collectively with all the children of God by enjoying Christ with one another and with God.
May we produce enough of Christ so that there will be a surplus to share with others and to offer the best part of the produce to God the Father for His joy, delight, and satisfaction (Deut. 15:11; 18:3-4; 12:11).
Our goal is to produce enough of Christ so that not only our needs would be met but also there would be a surplus to share with others and will offer the best part of the produce to God the Father!
The Lord will train us and will show us what is the best part, how to preserve the best part, and how to offer the best part.
We are learning to do this together; we are all learners, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
No matter how much we have been in the church life, we all are learning to labor on Christ, bring the surplus of Christ to the meeting, and worship God with Christ by offering the CHrist we have experienced to God for His satisfaction.
May we all learn to labor on Christ, have the rich produce of Christ, exhibit Christ, and worship God the Father in a way that satisfies Him and brings Him joy.
Lord Jesus, we want to have our hands full of the Christ we have enjoyed and experienced in our daily life so that we may bring this rich Christ to enjoy Him with the saints in the meetings of the church. Amen, Lord, may our meetings be such a rich exhibition of Christ with the mutual enjoyment of Christ by all the saints. May our daily Christian life be filled with working on Christ, producing Christ, enjoying Christ, and sharing Christ with others. Make us those who are diligent to labor on Christ, have our hands filled with Christ, and then come to the ground of unity – the very place that He has appointed – to enjoy this rich and glorious Christ with God’s children and with God! Amen, Lord, may You gain the worship You desire, and may You gain the worshippers who worship You in spirit and with Christ as reality!
