When we pray with God as our faith, we pray according to God’s will for the fulfilment of His economy, and we have the assurance that we have received what we have prayed for. Hallelujah!
The Lord Jesus was a pattern to us in this respect; when He came to the fig tree and sought fruit but did not get any, He cursed it and immediately it withered.
This is both something that signifies that the nation of Israel was cursed by God because they rejected the Lord, and something that teaches us concerning praying by faith before God.
The Lord Jesus was fully one with God; He knew the will of God and lived for the economy of God, and all He said and did was for the kingdom of God to be brought on the earth.
Actually, He Himself is the kingdom of God, so His very presence was the kingdom spreading, moving, and being manifested.
When He spoke something to the fig tree and this happened, this shows that it was God’s will for this to happen.
The Lord seems to be giving us a free pass, a completely blank cheque when it comes to our prayer; several verses tell us that, if we pray in a certain way, we will definitely receive what we have prayed for.
If we pray with God as our faith, we should not even doubt that it will happen; rather, we simply believe that we have received what we ask for.
First of all, we ourselves need to be the right persons in God’s eyes, those who care for God’s economy and for the fulfilment of His will.
Then, whatever we pray for, whatever we ask in prayer with God as our faith, we will receive, for what we ask is actually the uttering of God’s will in our prayer.
We need to be those who pray with God as our faith, that is, pray for executing God’s will according to His economy by faith.
God has a will, an economy, and a purpose; when we see God’s economy and join ourselves to Him in prayer, when we are fully one with the Lord as we pray, we will utter prayers that are in God’s heart, and our prayers will be answered.
We need to pray and speak to the Lord about everything, and we should open up all the things in our life in prayer to Him; however, we should realize we are not here for our own needs but for God’s need, and when God’s need is met, our need is also taken care of.
May we learn from the Lord Jesus to pray one with God for the executing of God’s will according to His economy so that we may cooperate with God in prayer and release His will on earth.
All Things that we Pray and Ask, we believe that we have Received them, and we will Have Them!
In Mark 11:24 the Lord Jesus said, All things that you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and you will have them.
He didn’t say, believe that you can receive them, or, believe that you will receive them; He said, believe that you have received them.
This shows that we pray with God as our faith, and therefore we believe that we have received the things we asked for.
The promise in this verse is comprehensive because it speaks of “all things”.
In John 3:16 we are told that “everyone” who believes into the Lord shall not perish and have eternal life; in Mark 11:24 we see that we will have “all things” if we pray with God as our faith.
In Mark 11 we see not only the necessity of faith but even more, the nature of faith.
Yes, we do need to pray with God as our faith, but this doesn’t mean that we believe that God hears us and one day He will do what we ask, but that He has already done it.
To believe that we will have the things we pray for is to hope, not to believe.
If we pray with God as our faith, we do not merely hope that we will receive or we can receive the things we ask for; we believe that we have received them! How should we believe?
We should believe that we HAVE received them.
The way to believe is not that we will have them or can have them; faith is not hoping in future things but believing that we have what we asked for.
This is similar to our initial experience of salvation; when we heard the gospel, we didn’t merely hope that one day God will save us, so we believe.
Rather, we simply received what He has promised to us, and we believed that He has saved us, He has redeemed us, and He has reconciled us to Himself.
Faith believes that something is done by God. This is a living faith; true faith, living faith, is faith that believes what the Bible says and receives that God has already done for us what the Bible says.
Many Christians, unfortunately, have merely a mental consent toward the word of God; they hear a certain truth in God’s word and agree with it, they like it, so they say they believe it.
This is not faith – this is a mental agreement, mental reckoning. Knowing a truth doesn’t mean we have faith in that truth; faith is believing that we have already received what the Bible tells us. Hallelujah!
This kind of faith is acceptable to God – the faith that receives what God says He has done for us.
Just as we heard the gospel and, being infused with faith by the hearing of faith, we believed, so we need to believe and have faith in God’s word, and our prayer should be with God as our faith, believing that He has done what we asked for. Hallelujah!
The natural thinking of prayer is that we pray and pray, and then we have some faith, and then we stand up and say, I believe that God will answer my prayer. But this is not what faith is.
God’s economy is that we pray and ask, and we expect the Lord to answer our prayer, for we have asked according to His will, and we are assured that He will give us what we asked for.
Many times, after we ask for something and pray with God as our faith, we praise the Lord; we are so assured that God will give us what we asked for, that we simply praise Him.
We are assured that we receive what we asked for because we pray according to God’s will, we pray with God as our faith, and we know that this is what God wants to do.
Lord Jesus, we want to learn to pray with God as our faith, believing that we have received what we prayed for! Amen, Lord, make us one with You in our daily life and in our prayer. May we be those who are proper before You, living and walking in the mingled spirit, and asking according to Your will. Reveal to us what Your will is, what Your intention is, and what is Your heart’s desire. We simply say Amen to Your word, believing that You have already done what You promised to do. Hallelujah, when we ask according to God’s will and pray with God as our faith, we can be assured that we have received the things we asked for! Praise the Lord!
When we Pray with God as our Faith for the Fulfillment of His Economy, We have the Assurance that we Received what we Prayed for!
What is God’s will? We all know that God has a great, eternal will, and He has a will concerning many details of our daily life.
We need to see and pray for the great, eternal will of God; when we pray for the will of God, we can be assured that we have received what we prayed for.
This is not something psychological, something that we convince ourselves that is real when it is not real.
Being assured that we have received what we prayed for is not being delusional or self-deceptive.
We are not in that realm; rather, we are in the realm of the Spirit, and we are one with God.
If we pray according to God’s will for the fulfilment of His economy (Matt. 6:9-10), we are one with God and we have the assurance that we have received what we have prayed for.
The Lord tells us to pray in a certain way; if we pray in the way He tells us to pray (see Matt. 6 and Mark 11), we have the inner assurance that we have the things we prayed for.
This kind of assurance is real, though we cannot explain it; we simply have the assurance that we have received it from God!
So we just praise God and give Him all the glory, and we simply thank Him that He has done it.
When Paul speaks concerning prayer, he oftentimes says that we should pray with thanksgiving, we should intercede with giving thanks.
How can we thank the Lord after we prayed, and how can we praise Him after we prayed about something that doesn’t seem to have happened yet?
When we pray with God as our faith, we are one with God and we believe that He has already given to us and done for us what we asked for; therefore, all that is left to do is thank Him and praise Him.
We need to enter into such an experience, again and again, believing that He has already done what we asked for, because our prayer is according to His will.
When we pray with God as our faith, He will provide what we need for our daily life.
However, if we ask the Lord for things that satisfy our desire, we can never have the faith in God to believe that we have received what we asked for.
This is because our prayer is not according to God’s will, nor is it for the fulfilment of God’s economy.
But when our will is aligned to His will and our desire is an expression of His desire, when we are fully mingled with God and absolutely one with God, we can have God as our faith!
When we pray with God as our faith and pray according to the knowledge of God’s will for the fulfilment of His economy, we have the assurance that we have the things we asked for.
Such prayer is not a prayer for little things in our life such as getting a new car, moving to a new place, or even who to marry and where to live; such prayer is for God’s great, eternal will, and He will answer such prayer.
God hears such a prayer, God answers such prayer, and God blesses the one who prays such a prayer, for such a prayer is according to His will and for His economy.
All that is left for us to do is praise Him, thank Him, and give Him all the glory, for we are assured that He has done what we asked for, and He has given us what we requested.
Lord Jesus, teach us to pray according to God’s will for the fulfilment of His economy. We want to be one with You in our prayer, asking for what is in Your heart. Save us from merely praying for our interests and what benefits us. Infuse us with Yourself and with Your heart’s desire. Make the desire of Your heart become the desire of our heart. We want to be absolutely one with God and have God as our faith so that we may pray according to the knowledge of God’s will for the fulfilment of His economy! Amen, Lord, we believe that we have asked for according to Your will, You have already done it! We thank You for answering our prayer. We praise You for being the answer to our prayer, and we give You all the glory! Praise the Lord!

– Claim thy redemption right, / Purchased by precious blood; / The Trinity unite / To make it true and good. / It shall be done, obey the Word, / Command thy mountain in the Lord! / Self, sickness, sorrow, sin, / The Lord did meet that day / On His beloved One, / And thou art “loosed away.” / It shall be done, rest on His Word! / Command thy mountain in the Lord! – He wills that I should holy be: / What can withstand His will? / The counsel of His grace in me / He surely shall fulfill. / Jesus, I hang upon Thy word: / I steadfastly believe / Thou wilt return and claim me, Lord, / And to Thyself receive. (Hymns #597)
– “Ask in faith,” ’tis just the asking, / In a faith that dares to stand, / Full of joyful expectation, / With an open, outstretched hand. / “Ask in faith,” for God is waiting / For thy faith-filled, earnest prayer. / Faith delights Him; faith can touch Him, / Every moment, everywhere. (Hymns #776)
The nature of faith… [is not] the necessity of faith — this is apparent. The question is about how to believe, and [Mark 11:24] is the only verse which answers this question. “Believe that you have received them, and you will have them.” How should we believe? “Believe that you have received.” The way to believe is not that we will receive or can receive or that we are able to receive or are going to receive, but that we already have received. Faith is that we have received, not that we will receive one day… Believing with all our heart that we can receive or that we are going to receive… is hope, not faith… What is in the future is always hope, not faith. Our Lord did not say, “You must believe that you are going to receive.” On the contrary, He said, “You must believe that you have already received.” It is something already done by God, something given to us by God. Whenever our faith is in the future, it is not faith but hope. Collected Works of Watchman Nee, vol. 46, p. 1211
Faith is not to believe that God will do it or can do it. Faith is to believe that He has done it. When we pray with God as our faith, we pray according to His will and for the fulfilment of His economy, we can be assured that we have received what we asked for.
Amen! Halellujah for Mark 11:24. In Heb 11:1 we have the objective meaning of faith. Mark reveals faith in our subjective experience.
We must believe that we have already received.
Belief in the future is hope, not faith. Neither is faith a mental consent.
The only faith that is acceptable to God is the faith that we have already received what we ask for.
We need to believe that we have already received all the attainments & accomplishments of Christ
To hope means to expect something in the future; to believe means to consider something has having been done.
we need to have a living faith. This is to believe that what we ask for in prayer, we have already received.
It is not to believe that we will receive something in the future. To believe in that way is not faith but hope.
To have the proper faith we need to be the right persons. This means we must be absolutely mingled with God until we are one with Him.
Then when we pray we will pray according to His hearts desire, His economy and not according to our own preference. This is to “have faith in God.”
may we have Faith concerning Christ’s work in other areas of our life not just in our salvation and the forgiveness of our sins.
According to Mark 11:24 to have faith in God is to believe that we have already received what we have asked for, that God has done it.
This was true in our experience when we were saved and we accepted that as sinners our sins had been forgiven.
However, if when we pray we consider that God will do what we ask for then what we have is hope (in the future). This is not faith.
Faith is believing that we have already received what we have asked for according to God’s will in His economy!
Amen! Thank You Lord for this revelation of faith : Faith in God it believes that what we say happens, and not will happen ; this is living faith, a genuine believing in the heart and not merely a mental consent.
Amen
If we are absolutely one with God, we can have God as our faith and pray according to the knowledge of God’s will for the fulfillment of His economy. Mark 11:24.
Thank you lord for having you as our faith.
