God in Christ is shining today, especially through His Word, but the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of people, deceiving them and covering them to not see the light; we need to drop our concepts and turn our heart to the Lord in order to receive the divine revelation, even to see the gospel of the glory of Christ! Amen!
As believers in Christ, we are those who love the Lord and have been captivated by Him; we saw something of His preciousness, and faith rose up in us to believe in Him.
The unbelievers may wonder how come we, human beings who have never physically seen or touched God, can believe into Him. They even think we’re crazy.
However, if they would see what we see, if they would see the Lord Jesus Christ with His preciousness, they will also just love Him and believe into Him.
It all depends upon our seeing.
We were created to be vessels to contain God and express God. We are not created as tools for God to do His work through us; we are vessels who need to be open to Him so that He may dispense Himself into us.
We are imperfect vessels, earthen vessels, but we have the image of God and bear His likeness, and there’s a God-shaped vacuum in our being.
When we see the Lord Jesus through the preaching of the gospel, when the Lord unveils us and we receive the divine revelation of what Christ is, we simply believe into Him.
Faith is not of ourselves; we do not conjure up faith nor do we muster it up, after working really hard to believe this or that.
Faith comes from hearing, and hearing comes through the word of God. As we remain in the word of God, as we place ourselves under the hearing of faith, something of God is infused into us, and this element of God becomes faith in us.
It is similar to what Abraham experienced; the God of glory appeared to him, and Abraham believed God.
He went out of his father’s house and country, and he was a traveller and wanderer in a foreign land which God promised He would give to him and to his descendants – even though he did not yet have any children.
How could he believe God, when nothing outwardly matched what God promised him?
Abraham believed God because he had the constant appearing of the God of glory.
Today God appears to us as we hear His word; He appears to us, He infuses us with His element, and our spontaneous reaction is that we believe into Him. Praise the Lord!
The God of glory called us by and into His eternal glory through the gospel of the glory of Christ.
Hallelujah, there’s glory in and with the gospel, for the gospel is the shining out of the Lord!
Today we want to see that, even though God is shining, Christ is speaking, the Spirit is operating, and the Word of God is shining, the god of this age has blinded the thoughts of most of the unbelievers.
And we want to see how can we be delivered from this blinding work of the enemy – we need to drop our concepts and turn our heart to the Lord to receive the divine revelation.
The god of this age has Blinded the Thoughts of the Unbelievers to not see the Gospel of the Glory of Christ
Thank the Lord for His speaking to us through His word; we treasure His speaking, and we love to be under His speaking, for the more we receive His speaking, the more our faith grows.
However, we need to realize that the god of this age is actively working to blind the thoughts of the unbelievers so that the illumination of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, might not shine on them (2 Cor. 4:4).
There is an enemy, an opposer, who knows that, when the Lord shines on a person, when the God of glory appears to a human being, that person is delivered from the authority of Satan and brought into the kingdom of God.
The enemy of God is actively working against the goal of God to obtain a corporate expression of Himself in glory.
The god of this age is Satan, the deceiver, the ruler of the present age (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11; Eph. 2:2).
The gospel is not veiled – it is unveiled, and it is the unveiling of the glory of Jesus Christ; however, the gospel is veiled in those who are perishing, for the god of this age has veiled them.
Satan never comes to us as he is, stating his clear intentions, and trying to convince us to join him in his evil enterprise; he is the deceiver, and as the ruler of this age, he wants to gain our worship by deceiving us.
How does the god of this age blind us so that we don’t see the divine revelation?
It is by our concepts, our old concepts, our concepts concerning the law (2 Cor. 3:14-15), our concepts concerning God, etc.
By blinding us in this way, the god of this age is deceiving us, for he hinders us from enjoying God and tricks us into worshipping him.
Satan is the god of this age, and he wants subjects, people, that he can rule. He is after worshippers, people that actually worship him.
In addition to his kingdom, Satan, the devil, has his own religion; he’s not merely the ruler of this age but also the god of this age (Matt. 12:26; John 12:31; 2 Cor. 4:4).
The ruler of this world refers to Satan’s ruling over people; the god of this age refers to the worship that he receives from people today.
Those who are blinded in their thoughts by the god of this age think they do not believe in God, so they don’t worship God; however, by not worshipping God, they actually worship Satan.
There are only two options in this universe: God and Satan.
God is clear, bright, great, and loving; He will never coerce us into loving Him, nor will He deceive us into worshipping Him.
Satan, however, is the deceiver; as the god of this age, he seeks those who would worship him, so he blinds the thoughts of people, veiling them with so many concepts that they don’t see the shining of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Atheists think that there is no God, so they don’t worship God; unwittingly, they worship Satan.
All the people today, whether they are in the modern cities or in a more primitive setting, have been blinded by the god of this age.
Even more, many of the believers are being blinded by Satan through many concepts that they have toward God, how God wants them to do this or that, how they should behave to please God, and how they should be holy and victorious.
Especially today in the developed world where everyone has a mobile phone, and a smartphone, the god of this age reaches us at any time of day and night via the notifications to deceive us and bring us into worshipping him.
As long as we don’t worship God by loving Him and opening to Him and enjoying Him, we by default worship the god of this age.
The god of this age rules in darkness and is worshipped by people in the dark.
Every nanosecond our smart devices push things at us to put more veils on us so that we may be further blinded, and corrupted in our mind; before we know it, we start to worship another God and we’re under the rule of the god of this age.
May we come to the Lord again and again and pray to be delivered from the blinding work of the god of this age.
It is not only the unbelievers but even we as believers in Christ can be blinded in our understanding to not see the gospel of the glory of Christ. It is good to tell the Lord,
Lord Jesus, expose the blinding work of the enemy in us. Unveil us to see You and enjoy You. Expose the enemy with all his tactics of blinding us so that we do not see the gospel of the glory of Christ. Shine on us, dear Lord. May the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, shine on us! Deliver us, dear Lord Jesus, from any blinding work of the enemy. Deliver us from worshipping Satan by being deceived by him. May we remain in the light, walk in the light, welcome the light, and love the Lord and His speaking! We turn our heart to You, dear Lord; remove any veil from our eyes. We choose to worship You. We choose to not worship the god of this age but to worship God. We stand against the deceiver with his deceiving and blinding work. Lord Jesus, we love You! We open to You! Shine on us! Make us Your glorious expression corporately!
When we Drop our Concepts and Turn our Heart to the Lord, we see the Gospel of the Glory of Christ
How can we as believers in Christ cooperate with the Lord to see the gospel of the glory of Christ today? How can we receive the divine revelation?
We need to realize that the god of this age is seeking to blind us, the believers, with many concepts, philosophies, and thoughts.
Anything such as philosophy, religion, and cultural traditions can hinder us from apprehending the gospel of Christ, and is, therefore, a veil.
As believers in Christ, we need to drop our concepts and turn our heart to the Lord so that we may see the gospel of the glory of Christ.
May we not treasure our concepts, even though we may love them so much; may we not hold them more precious than the Lord Jesus.
May we learn to drop our concepts – spiritual concepts, soulish concepts, carnal concepts, any kind of concept can be a veil covering us to not see the glory of the Lord.
May the Lord grant us the revelation that we need to drop our concepts.
Our God is a speaking God; He speaks all the time, and He shines everywhere.
We live in the age of grace, and this is an age of light, for God is shining and the Bible is shining also.
The Bible has been translated and printed in so many languages, being widely available; this is sovereign of the Lord, for He wants to shine over every people, tribe, and nation.
The Spirit is moving on earth, full of grace, to sanctify man and bring man to contact God and see the glory of Christ.
Why would we and so many believers not receive revelation? It is because we may hold to certain concepts, and these concepts veil us.
We may go to work, and simply by being among our workmates and taking care of so many things, we may be veiled; more and more veils are added on our eyes.
We are exposed to so many things, and we may “catch a virus” just by talking to others, and veils will cover us.
We may be at home, taking care of chores or just resting; unless we are contacting the Lord, anything we do or say can veil us.
The problem with receiving revelation is not on the Lord’s side; He is always shining, always ready to speak, always ready to dispense Himself into us.
The problem is on our side. We need to make the choice to drop our concepts; we need to ask the Lord to help us drop our concepts.
Many times our concepts are what we have built up throughout the years and have sustained us in our human life and Christian life.
The way to live, to eat, to live, to do things – there’s nothing wrong with these things, even though they differ from person to person.
However, all these can become veils that hinder us from seeing the gospel of the glory of Christ.
The first thing we need to do in the morning is drop our concepts and turn our heart to the Lord.
If we drop our concepts as we read the word of God, we will have an unveiled face, and we can see the divine revelation.
Then, the light will shine into us subjectively. Many believers earnestly desire to live Christ; however, to live Christ we need revelation.
Revelation can come only if we drop our concepts.
When we drop our concepts, when we have the Lord’s mercy to drop our concepts, and we turn our heart to the Lord, any veils are removed, and the god of this age will have no ground in our being.
We need to be in the light all the time, dealing with any veils that the enemy tries to put on us.
May we learn to turn our heart to the Lord all the time so that we may see Him face to face (2 Cor. 3:16).
We do not want to worship the god of this age by having a heart that is turned away from the Lord, being blinded by the deceiver.
We want to receive the Lord’s mercy to drop our concepts and turn our heart to the Lord so that we may behold the Lord with an unveiled face to be infused with Him as the glorious Christ.
The more we turn our heart to the Lord, the less ground will the god of this age have in our being.
The more we drop our concepts and turn our heart to the Lord, the more we will be under the shining of the heavenly light.
We will receive the revelation of the living person of Jesus Christ, the most glorious and wonderful One!
May we learn to drop our concepts and, by the Lord’s mercy and grace, may we turn our hearts to Him again and again so that He may continually shine on us, in us, and through us!
Lord Jesus, grant us the mercy to drop our concepts and turn our heart to You so that we may see the gospel of the glory of Christ! Amen, Lord, we trust in You to defeat the god of this age. We don’t want to worship him – we want to turn our heart to You, drop our concepts, and just worship You! Hallelujah, whenever the heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away, and we can behold and reflect like a mirror the glory of the Lord! Amen, Lord, we choose to come to You and drop our concepts so that nothing would veil us from seeing You in glory. we choose to turn our heart to You so that the god of this age would have no ground in our being. May the gospel of the glory of God shine in our hearts. Keep us beholding You today. Shine on us and shine in all our being, in all our inward parts. Cause our heart to turn to You. Dear Lord Jesus, we love Your shining!

Though God is shining, the Bible is shining, and the Spirit is moving full of grace, the god of this age is working to blind our thoughts and veil us so that we may not see the gospel of glory of Christ. Oh Lord Jesus!
We have so many concepts that veil us, and by being veiled in this way, we render worship to Satan, not to God.
Amen brother!
When the gospel of glory appeared to us the veil was removed and God brought light in our darkness…..we were regenerated!
This was good news! Now we shine for others as praying their veil is removed!
Hallelujah!😃
Praise the Lord! 🙋🏽😃 Amen!🙏
O God is able to shine in others as he shinned in us to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ!
This is the gospel of glory as the new covenant!
Hallelujah!
As the ruler of this world Satan rules over people; as the god of this age he seek man’s worship.
He is the deceiver, one who blinds the unbelievers, veiling them that they would not receive the gospel of the glory of Christ.
Yet when these ones drop their religious, philosophical concepts and cultural traditions and turn their hearts to the Lord, the veils are taken away and Christ can shine on them.
Such things as philosophy, religion or cultural traditions are used by Satan to blind the thoughts of human beings and veil them from Jesus.
Every concept, whether spiritual or carnal, is a veil.
To receive revelation, we must drop our concepts. If we hold to certain concepts, we will be veiled by these concepts.
If we drop our concepts as we read the Word, we will read it with an unveiled face.
The only way revelation can come to us is if we drop our concepts.
May we look to the Lord to defeat the god of this age so that we would turn our heart fully to Christ and the veils would be taken away.
I enjoyed this verse and chorus from a song
Do this Lord. Amen.
I also enjoyed this portion from the message.
Amen Lord we need to be in the light all the time. Hallelujah for the Body.
Lord, make this our prayer! Shine your light in us and reveal in us Your revelation!
my reading today Matthew 20:33 that our eyes may be opened
1 Thes. 2:12 may we walk in such a worthy manner by turning our hearts to Him all our days!! Amen!
2 Cor. 4:4, footnote 4 on, “illumination”, Recovery Version Bible
Amen praise the Lord brother, May the Lord unveil our eyes and may we drop our concepts and turn our hearts towards Him.
Amen, brother!
Amen, Lord, to this prayer !
We pray this for ourselves and for all Your dear saints.
We want Your enemy to get the shame and for You to gain all the glory!
Dear brother, If we drop our concepts as we read the Word, we will read it with an unveiled face. Then, the light will shine into us subjectively.
If we drop our concepts and turn our hearts to the Lord, the veils will be taken away, and the god of this age will have no ground in our being. 2 Cor 3:16.
Ameen!!!
We can receive revelation from the Lord by droppping our concepts and turning our hearts to the Lord.
Our concepts and unturned hearts are the veils covering us to see the shining and revelation of God.
Amen Lord Jesus! …
Lord Jesus, I come to You, dropping all my concepts, and turn my heart to come into Your presence, and to gaze upon the beauty (glory) our Your perfect and upright humanity. Shine, Jesus shine, shine Yourself within our beings. …
Hallelujah! Thank You Lord Jesus!
Praise You O Lord our Savior God! Amen. 🙏
Enjoyed this very much. We must turn away from our concepts to enjoy God’s revelation. Wonderful. Absolutely. But…what is a concept? Has me thinking.
Both concepts and revelation come through our minds. Dictionaries will tell us that a concept is an original and/or unifying idea. A revelation, as we know, is something revealed or communicated to us, from God. Is it possible, I wonder, that revelations age, or devolve into concepts?
Perhaps we need to emphasize the need for God’s new and timely revelation, everyday. He is forever new and always has something new for us. A revelation from yesterday, or last week, or last year, was perfect for the time, but may not be perfect for now. Holding onto it becomes a concept, even religion of our own making.
Let us turn each morning, with unveiled face, to receive the new light that our wonderful Lord has for each one of us. Let us live in the enjoyment of His revealed personhood, loving kindness and wisdom and share it with all we meet. Let it be completely spent and emptied each night so we can be filled again the next morning with new revelation and riches of Grace.
Amen Brother Godman and saints. Loved this portion.
Drop our concepts is putting it mildly 🙂
We need to RUN TO HIM!!
Amen?
🙂
